This song is credited as "Wham!" It came out in late 1984, and became the #1 song of 1985 in the USA. The sax riff is one of the most recognized in music history!!! There are some songs on George Michael's "Faith" album that are absolutely essential! They are "Faith," "Father Figure" and "One More Try." That album had SIX top 5 hits, including FOUR #1 hits! There are also some Wham! classics, like "Everything She Wants," Freedom" and "A Different Corner."

The only one who could compensate for the loss of Mercury in Queen. Last Christmas ; Praying for time , Father figure, One more time , Dont let the sun go down on me, Jesus to a child . Amazing and unique artist.

In today’s pop, we don’t get singer-songwriters like George Michael anymore.

A cool fact about this song is that he basically produced it himself. He went through multiple sax players before he found someone to play the riff the way he had heard it in his head.

I never really appreciated how good his voice was until he sang 'Someone to Love' in the (filmed) rehearsal and actual performance of the Queen tribute concert for the late Freddie Mercury. He absolutely crushed it - personally I prefer the rehearsal video as it shows David Bowie and Seal watching on approvingly. I suggest you check either performance out.

Yeah I was a young adult when this was popular and wow what a brilliant catalog of music George Michael has made since this beautiful piece! We all knew Wham and they had some good tunes but George went on to make us all realize what a musical genius he was.

One of the greatest voices of the last 40 years. He sold over 100 million albums in his lifetime, and keeps selling. Great duets with Elton John ("Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me") and Aretha Franklin ("Knew You Were Waiting For Me"). Solo Songs incl. "Freedom 90", "Jesus to a Child", "Father Figure", "Faith".
