We spent 30 minutes recording the video only to find out after the fact that it was blocked for posting on KZread. There's nothing we can do about that. If you're a fan of our channel, you'd notice we rarely put filters on our videos and that's because we only do so when they are blocked & wouldn't be eligible to be uploaded otherwise. This needed to be posted with a filter so you can see our reactions to this mind blowing experience or it wouldn't get posted at all! Most of our videos are claimed for monetization anyways and it has nothing to do with that. We are not interested in getting a copyright strike either.

The top Isle of Man TT racers have committed the street circuit to memory. Every turn, braking point and best line around a corner. They can replay the circuit in their minds. Mental concentration is 110% without let up. And it helps to be slightly insane.

Top speed is about 210 mph, slowest corner is about 30 mph. These camera views on the bikes and around the course plus helicopter views are on the TV show covering the races. On some sections the helicopter can't keep up and has to cut corners to film.🤣

At 14:13 you mention not having the bike straight before hitting a jump. There is a video of James hillier having a “moment” at a 180mph corner called Ballagarey. He makes it but the bike looks like it’s 100% going to crash. Also the lap is 37.75 miles and he completed it in 16 minutes 36 seconds. Great reaction, will sub!

This video never ceases to excite me, like Porsche's Nurburgring records. These are things that go far beyond the norm for a human being. A lap at the TT is just under 38 miles long, which corresponds to a lap of the Isle of Man. The number of laps depends on the category: for example our friend Peter had to do 6 for a total of 226 miles (other categories do 4 laps I think). This means that riders have to do a pit stop for fuel in 😊mid-race. The motorbike record is still this one held by Peter at an AVERAGE speed of almost 135.5 mph and a maximum of 200 mph. For sidecars (which you should definitely see a video of)which, although it may seem impossible, are even crazier than motorbikes, it's 19'19.746 at 117 mph on average. Since you mentioned it, fortunately on a motorbike you never suffer from motion sickness because the balance centers never oscillate laterally from right to left like in a car and therefore our nervous system doesn't go haywire. When cornering in the car we remain upright but the centrifugal force pushes us sideways and after so much rocking our balance goes into crisis. On the other hand, on a motorbike we lean together with the motorbike to counteract the centrifugal force and, however much we can lean, we are always and only pulled downwards. For our inner ear we have never stopped being vertical and therefore there are no balance problems.

It's not just the fuel. It's the carbonation. You climb so high on that track, that you carburettor have to be precisely set to account for the lack of oxygen at the highest elevations on the track. In short, yeah, there are hills.

The Mountain Course is 37.73 miles long. Although the race is basically a time trail there are more than one rider on the circuit at a time. Solos is limited to 60 riders (although in the past there were over 100 at a time) and Sidercars I think it is limited to 40 outfits now (again in the past there were way more). The riders go off at 10secs intervals one at a time, although in the past they did go off in pairs at 10 second intervals. Believe it or not there have been mass starts in the past, although I have never seen them or could tell you when, which must have been crazy and understandably very rare and wouldn't be done now. Also riders say in a 6 lap Superbike or Senior Race (226 miles) the easiest laps are actually the last two laps because you are that mentally and physically knackered that you are totally relaxed on the bike. They refuel and change tyres every 2 laps, so first pitstop you think "I still have 4 laps of this!", second pitstop you think "I am knackered." so you relax and just let it flow and that's when a lot of the time the best laps happen believe it or not.

The bubble screen will be to get it past copyright issues normally, maybe they tried to post it and it got a copyright claim so they had to find a way to get round it. Copyright claims are not too bad, as the creator can normally work around them. What no creator wants are copyright strikes as 3 of those within a certain time and you lose your channel. They are annoying sometimes when they have to blur it but normally they leave the original link if you want to see it unblurred.

No ... all racers are on the course at the same time, but they start in 10 second intervals ... depending on your start number and speed, its possible to actually do a lap and not see another rider ... you saw 1 lap and normally there would be 6 in the main races with a pit stop for new tyres/ fuel ... there can be 40 or 50 riders in a race ... as lap times have come down over the years the number of starters have reduced because you can't have a rider completing his first lap when there are others still on the starting grid ... In the 1970's when lap times were slower as many as 70 to 80 riders may have been in some races ... My father raced there in the 60's, 70's and early 80's ... Basically this was my holiday/vacation for 2 weeks of the year when growing up
