It’s crazy because if you start reacting to him live, you’ll see he sounds the exact same with the same high energy performance he puts on. He definitely put out music for nearly every genre. There’s so much to discover from him
You need to see the live version to get an appreciation of how great of a performer he was.
This is from the Purple Rain film. The soundtrack is awesome. "Let's go crazy" is a very high energy song and also from the film.
U guys haven’t even nicked the surface! I’ve been with him since the beginning-Soft and Wet. They’ll never B another!

Prince song KISS is an R&B MASTERPIECE. Funky falsetto song.
I always loved his song: KISS!!! He put on SUCH a GREAT SHOW!! SO GOOD!!! His DANCE moves ALWAYS amazed me - I think that's why he hurt so much, later in life. Prince was only 5' 2"...and, wore heels all the time - and, he did all that dancing and difficult dance moves in heels!! TOUGH on your BODY!!! He was JUST AMAZING!!! He is SORELY MISSED!! RIP, PRINCE!! HUGS, YA'LL!!! Thanks for the reactions!!
The entire Purple Rain soundtrack is fire
Lets go crazy... Highest energy Prince
Now y'all really have got to hear "Morris Day and the Time"!! While you're really feeling the vibe of the movie. 👍
Don't underestimate Prince when it comes to dancing and singing at the same time. Yes, this was from the film Purple Rain but Prince rarely lip sync, his microphone was ALWAYS ON!! Don't be confused, he and MJ were total opposites, both great but completely different.

These scenes were recorded live at First Avenue of course, so it was a mini concert for all the extras there.
As far as other of his great live performances, see stuff from the "Sign 'O' The Times" concert film: "Play In The Sunshine," "Housequake," "I Could Never Take The Place of Your Man," "Hot Thing," "If I was Your Girlfriend," "It's Gonna Be A Beautiful Night." Heck, just watch the whole concert, it's so good. You can't go wrong with any of his live performances from any era. He was incredible.
39 studio albums is just the tip of the iceberg.
This song was perfect timing in the movie

Every Single One
Just to shed some light on how prolific a songwriter Prince was , when the Purple Rain movie came out they interviewed his co-star Appolonia. She said that at the time of the movie release , Prince already had the music recorded for 10 albums. Said he could release them the next day if he wanted to. Most artist are lucky if they record 10 albums in their entire career.

Lord Have Mercy - - they're not ready for *Adore*! Maybe in 2025.
Prince is iconic a legend a superstar. This is my favorite track. He played 27 instruments I believe on his first studio album. 💜💜💜 RIP
You gotta' move beyond this Prince can only be 'high energy' thing; he is a certifiable ballad master (Adore, Do Me Baby, Shhh, Insatiable, Beautiful Ones, etc.). Get on board, you'll thank me later. 🎶
Prince - Insatiable
In addition to his 39 albums, he also left behind a vault of thousands of unreleased songs. Also, keep in mind he did all those dance moves IN HIGH HEELS.

If you want a lot of energy and fun, check out Prince's "Play In The Sunshine & Housequake."
Need to watch the "America" live performance video. You can see him play guitar and drums with the high energy you are looking for.
My personal favorite from Prince is "The Beautiful ones." It's a ballad but extremely raw, and his vocals are insane. Btw, don't ever react to "Darling Nikki" unless you want to watch Samantha turn 50 shades of embarrassment. 😂

Glad you enjoyed it Craig!
Here are the years Prince put out an album: 78, 79, 80, 81, 82, 84, 85, 86, 87, 88, 89, 90, 91, 92. Of course more after that but from 78-92 he had 14 albums. But get this, not listed as Prince albums are The Time's 81 and 82 albums. Both Prince albums with Morris Day as lead vocals. So he really put out 16 albums. Taylor Swift has 8 albums in 18 years. Prince doubled her production in less years. And he did everything on his albums. Kids today have no clue about music. Or what it takes for an artist to be great. They pay $300 for tickets and don't get half or a third of what Prince gave in a concert.
The finale of the movie, such a fantastic soundtrack 😊
Prince is the greatest stage entertainer that ever was! One of the greatest guitarists as well. I didn't realize that fact until I actually saw him Live in Concert. He BLEW the ROOF off of the acoustically perfect Auditorium!
Prince and MJ are James Brown's legacy. If there were no JB there'd be no MJ or Prince. Prince would also be a part of the legacy of one of the architects of rock n roll itself, Little Richard.
Prince and Micheal learned dance moves from James Brown growing up. 1999, Let's go crazy, U got the look are a few more
You should try his song Let's Go Crazy.
He was already very successful before the Purple Rain album, with the 1999 album (& was already successful even before that, too). Everyone on the planet knew the song 1999 and we were all calculating how old we'd be in 1999. And of course the song was played at midnight around the world when 1999 rolled around. But yes, Purple Rain the album and movie raised him up to even more established global icon.
You should both check out the movie Purple Rain...
Can't believe you reacted to this tune! Awesome. One of my fav workout tunes back in the day.
His first album he wrote all the songs, produced the album and played all the instruments at the age of 18 or 19. Check out his Live 4 Love, live performance or his Superbowl performance.
Prince is also a music writer for many stars
Let's go crazy live is the best!
To truly appreciate his talent you need to watch him live. A few suggestions are his Superbowl Halftime Show, Play That Funky Music Medley or Motherless Child.
There'a a lot of James Brown in his showmanship and dancing but nothing wrong with digging the Godfather of Soul !
GREAT SONG.
Prince was a true star, hit after hit and everyone seemed to like him and all of his music back then at least here in Australia. I like his music still, and I think the young people would to, if they had never heard it before, and you didn't tell them that it was old first. I lalso ove his raunchy song Darling Niki check that out!
Great pick Saw this movie when it came out and saw him live with this tour, was my favorite concert until I saw Buddy Guy in 2013
I was in high school when this came out, class of 86. I also remember state dance competition, high kick, when this song was popular.
Fun fact. The club used in the film, and this video from the film, is First Avenue in Minneapolis. I used to dance there weekly for a few years in the early 90s. Fun times.
What a great time 1983 or any time in early 80's was so much fun.
You' guys should react to the Prince Superbowl halftime show
He had a studio in his house and often stayed up for days recording.
Enjoyed the reaction guys! And Prince's catalog of music is very, very deep. His estate is still releasing songs that were never heard before. My kids bought the Purple Rain album as a gift for me when it came out. They played it more than I did😂 As others have mentioned Let's Go Crazy is another high energy song you'll love.
I saw a live performance of "America" on KZread. In it Prince has a drum solo. If you can find it, it's worth checking out.
Now you get it 👍
‘Sexy MF’ is a great video with lots of energy-a must watch of his Royal Badness Extended version of ‘When Doves Cry’ ‘Cream’ video
Yeah, Prince is awesome with his style, vocals, , dancing his entire presence is so great!!❤❤❤ Love all of his videos and the movie!!🍿 🎥 I hope you guys react to more! ❤❤
You have to see the live 1985 version! It was like a party on the stage lol
Lets go Crazy is before this on the album, and they bleed together. That's why it started the way it did. You need to do them together.
Let's Go Crazy and I Would Die for You are along the lines of this song as well. And an early one is 1999.
RICK JAMES - " Mary Jane " Studio Version is super GROOVY! Amazing talent @nd " Give It To Me Baby " a Hi Energy Funk Rock Jam 🎸 also Studio version Full and Uncut songs. You guys got to check out this artist Fantastic 70s Classic Jams
Watch the movie Purple Rain and you will see the genius. You need to understand he totally controlled his music from writing it to playing all instruments on his first five albums to producing them, doing covers and liners, designing costumes and having them made by his wardrobe employees. He was homeless at around twelve and decided he would push his music to succeed. His work ethic was amazing. A band didn’t come into existence until he started touring. He didn’t need one as he played all the instruments on his music. He recorded every day he could which is why he left over 8000 unreleased songs in his vault along with finished albums and movies.
It would be great if you could play 1999 or controversy. Great bangers!
Paisley Park was his studio. My Brother in law built it in the late 80’s.
One of my favorites from Prince! Love the whole Purple Rain album.
The video was from the movie but the recording was done live at the club First Avenue that was featured in the film. I Would Die 4 U, Baby I’m a Star and Purple Rain were recorded live at a benefit concert he did at First Avenue and used for the album. You should check out anything live by Prince especially from the 80’s and 90’s if you want the high energy and dancing. He was still high energy in the 2000’s but he stopped doing the splits and some other stuff. I saw him in concert in 2004 and 2011 and it was awesome. America is a great choice because he plays the guitar and also the drums. It’s from 1985.
Prince was the modern day James Brown. I was so lucky to see him live and it was just a non-stop energy infusion. He was so talented and energetic. I wish we could have heard the music he would have created today.
This is the ending from the movie Purple Rain. You have to see one of his live performances
You gotta react to the live version at the awards
AMAZING THIS IS FROM 1984-40 YRS AGO! THIS WAS SUCH A HUGE ALBUM/MOVIE!
Prince, Prince, Prince! Phil & Sam, Y’all must watch his movie Purple Rain! My favorite from the soundtrack is: Computer Blues.
Certified banger.
LOVE Prince !!!!! His song (KISS ) is great too !! And Sam you needed to get those arms higher and pump them to the beat- LOL
You guys should watch people rain the movie... it is basically every track from the album, but with a story going on... you could knock out a bunch of other songs in one sitting, and rate the movie and performances.. every song was great on this album and in the movie. Great reaction. 👍
The last song of the movie "Purple Rain ". A great send off
Watch the live stuff. You'll be blown away.
this is from the ending of Purple Rain
and he still has a vault of songs that are still being released! he even wrote a country song song that Kenny Rogers sang.
IMO Prince was at his best in his early years. Check out something off of his Dirty Mind or Controversy albums.

for real high energy, take a look at actual concert footage as that will give you the true vibe of what he was all about. This is a scene from the Purple Rain movie which is great but there is so much more live performances that are truly amazing
totally encourage you to react to the*kiss*song video . he has fun with that one,as well ..and same for *raspberry beret*. 🤗
I think you guys should definitely react to America by Prince!!
Good one guys! Phil to catch the Prince vibe! He’s sooo good. Try out 1999, get off, diamonds and pearls, kiss , and Raspberry beret. All amazing! Keep on with the great reactions! 🔥🌟🔥🌟🔥🌟
Just so you know, I know you at least know how iconic he was, and what a musical legacy he left, but to be honest, as huge as 1999 and Purple Rain was ( 1999 made him a superstar, Purple Rain made him a megastar) , both were just small moments in his legacy, because of the music and effect he made before and after those albums, going back to even before his first album, and all the way to the two albums he released a few years before his death in 2016.
Do it live!
The recording is live from 83' concert. They used a lot of material from that concert, including Purple rain. You really need to react to a live performance. Try "America" live from Paris. It's a great performance.
Funny. I doubt any Prince fan would actually list Baby I'm a Star (which wasn't even released as a single) in their top 100. I certainly wouldn't. Whereas Purple Rain and Little Red Corvette were two of the best songs of the entire decade, let alone for Prince.
You should do an actually live performance. Dude was the greatest live, real live.
Bambi from his self titled album " Prince". Guitar masterpiece!!!
Check out his duet with Sheena Easton, U Got The Look. Definitely a banger!
Prince is AWESOME live! Don’t get it twisted. Edit:Prince is also the King of of sensual and sexy.
