man you saved my life. In 11:42 when we reversing fraction for clearing negative sign of exponent, and then when we reverse again to multiply fraction i though we need to add the negative sign back because we are reversing again. But i see reversing for the multiplying does not change the sign of exponent.

28:56 how is that exponent 6 a negative? aren't you adding two negative numbers?
@MrB4math6 ай бұрын
If signs are the same you add and keep the sign. Had we been multiplying, a negative times a negative would give a positive. I hope this helps.

on the last problem with the 4/5, what would happen if you rounded it up to 5/5 then rounded down in later steps?
@MrB4math10 ай бұрын
Your strategy may work on this problem, but I don't really see how it works. It seems risky to depend on it. We do sometimes round up or down for calculations, then "put back" whatever rounding took place, but that is typically with sum or difference of decimals. I hope this helps.

Shortcut to the first problem: (7 x 9)/(7 + 9) = 63/16. Shortcut to the second problem: ((12)(x))/(12 + x) = 6 --> x = 12
