Factor Polynomials: Introduction
After showing that the first and last terms of a trinomial are the result of multiplication, while the middle term is the result of addition or subtraction, I present a dependable way to factor trinomials, or see that they are prime. I cover five factoring problems, one of which is prime, in the first 15 minutes. I then offer a mixed practice with five more problems, where one may pause the video and try them first.

I am sorry, but that would take too much time. Use factor by grouping. Factor out x^2 from the first two terms. Factor out -1 from the second two terms. You will have (x^2-1)(x+1). This first set of parentheses is a difference of squares, which you can factor. You end up with (x+1)(x-1)(x+1). Wish I could help more. I'm a part time professor; I work long hours and stay broke.
Excellente teaching...

Those pesky signs. A video just for that, please. Negative this. Positive that. Double negative. But that's English class. The problem is everywhere! 🤔 😥

You might appreciate my video on adding and subtracting positive and negative numbers: mrb4math.com/#get_to_Addition___Subtraction In it I address at some length what you mention. (Link is to my website, but I put the video on my KZread channel as well.)

@@MrB4math I do really really really (ad infinitum) appreciate your time. I would thank you even more but it would keep you from addressing some other mathematical enigma. We wouldn't want that now would we Pythagoras, Jr.?
