Thanks for the tour. My Mini is a 2008 Sidewalk Convertible. I've had it about a month and I'm still learning my car.

Excellent video, though I would recommend most people use the pry tools.

In most modern cars if you disconnect the battery like this without keeping power to the ECU it can cause you even more problems. Don't just disconnect the battery like this.

Does replacing the tumbler apply to the key not going into the off position- basically it turns on, and backwards but only goes as far as the auxiliary position and it’s killing my battery constantly auto is 2012 Mazda CX9

Thanks for the great view. Only thing that would make it better is to show how the screwdriver can come down from above to turn it.

Finally someone explain how to turn that screw to which direction for making the beam lower or higher. Those clockwise and counterclockwise from other videos were so confusing. Thank you very much.

Great video. The plastic covers also got hazy and yellow, but I had to replace my headlights because one of the halogen bulbs fell out of the socket. Part of the socket holding the bulb melted and it then landed on the windshield wiper reservoir, leaving a massive hole in the reservoir.

I know this video and thread is as old as the hills but I’ve just found a bottle of this stuff. One thing everyone must remember is: There are three layers to car paint, a base coat, a colour coat and a clear coat. If your scratches go through the clear and the paint coats, you must replace with colour paint, there’s no magic fix. But if you’ve only gone through your clear coat, you maybe able to polish away those scratches by removing clear coat paint. 👍

That CRC forms a latex film, it only goes on the back of the pad. You have to use brake grease or anti-seize between the pad and the clips. Also, you have to take out the guide pins and put silicone grease on them. This is not how you do a brake job. 🤦‍♂🤦‍♂🤦‍♂

You'll need to use an adhesion promoter to get it to stick properly. 3M make one. That's what the factory use, also good body work shops.

The context and general advice that you provide (of this particular job) acts as a very helpful prologue before getting into one of the other step-by-step videos. I love it and hope you keep dropping more videos like these. The autoparts link that you provide takes me to the auto-part main page on Amazon but it would be quite useful if there was a specific parts link that listed the gaskets needed. Even though you recommend calling the dealerships, sometimes it helps provide more context of what I''m asking for when I can see the parts before hand. Cheers!
