This video uses an ’07 Toyota Sienna, but the process is nearly identical on 2005-2016. I demonstrate both driver side and passenger side headlight assemblies just in case I missed a step or explained it more clearly on one side vs the other. Let me know if you have any questions. Thank you for this detailed instruction video! I am a 60-year-old woman with no man to help me do any repairs on my vehicle or my house. And I needed to have new headlights put on my Toyota sienna. So I decided to do this myself! And I did it! I am a young 60!! LOL. Thanks again for your time.
Thanks for the video, I only watched the basics but that’s all I needed you didn’t spend 10 minutes talking about before you did it like some people do lol thanks 🙏
THANK YOU!!!! Without this video, I would've never figured out how to get that 4th bolt off.
This is one of the more concise and clear video I have ever seen !!! Thank you indeed !!!
One of best instructional videos. Didn't skip anything that might have seemed obvious to an expert. I am not afraid to get dirty, but I am not mechanically inclined. I watch a lot of these for projects, and this one one of best!
Kick ASS!!!! My 2009 with 290k miles is like new again!!! Look out ladies!

Your detailed easy instruction saved me 300$ ! Thank you.
I just finished successfully replacing headlights on my 2008 Toyota Sienna (named Vanessa) using your video. Thank you for taking the time to make it. Take care.
Great video! It made this whole project so much easier, thank you! Just be careful if you're doing this - some of those plastic clips could be brittle. I broke a couple. Also, when pulling off that side cowling, try to pull up a little if possible to avoid breaking the clips under it. They're a little different than the others.
Great video... just replaced both of my headlight assemblies (xmas present to self). At the risk of teaching an old dog a new trick, I deduced, though trial and error, a simpler way to adjust the headlight beams after installation. As you know the adjustment screw on the driver's side is a bear to get at (not so the passenger side). I started out with a 10MM 1/4 drive ratchet (which fit the space) but it was going to take an hour to ratchet it down at one click at a time. I switched to a small straight blade screwdriver an started "prying" the crenelated hub from the opening on top, again, one notch at a time... still too slow. Then the light bulb went off... PHILLIPS head!!! Worked like a charm. A TORX head of the proper size would probably work even better because of the flat tip. It became obvious why that little opening is there in the first place to get at the adjustment "wheel" from the side (with the proper tool).
Excellent video. This made it so easy. One suggestion is to watch the entire video before you start. The insertion of the cowl plugs at the end is not covered in the beginning and you can easily damage them if you don't watch how they are reinserted at the end. Overall a fairly easy job that took about an hour to replace both sides.
I took on this project today! Thank you, your instructions made this easy!
I will order my set in a couple weeks. Your video just took out my worries of replacing.
Thanks for the video. I feel way more confident tackling my 2008. It saves me time just knowing the socket I’ll need and where the lower hidden bolt is. New lenses always make the vehicle look newer
You are the coolest of all coolidoshious Toyota Sienna headlight replacers in all multi-universes aspiring to get promoted! 🔧 🛠 🔧 Thanks 👍!
Wow! your video was very helpful! Thank you for the reminder and tip on the light adjustment screw with the 10mm socket. loved your clear step by step video.
Great video. The plastic covers also got hazy and yellow, but I had to replace my headlights because one of the halogen bulbs fell out of the socket. Part of the socket holding the bulb melted and it then landed on the windshield wiper reservoir, leaving a massive hole in the reservoir.
Thanks for a great video. Very detailed and shows exactly what to do. Step by step. Thanks for helping me replace the lights on the Sienna.
Outstanding video sir. I have been searching for the bumper cover end removal. Thanks.
Nice demonstration, and helpful hints. Thanks!
To avoid getting dirt on the bulbs I unplug the wires and keep the bulbs in the headlight. It's much easier to swap the bulbs from the old headlight to the new ones when they're away from the van, on a table or on the ground.
Thank you for posting. For my 2007, there was an extra 10mm bolt at the bottom of the corner trim in addition to the two screw push-ins.
Followed your video. On my 2013 Sienna, I could not get the headlamps out. I did some further investigation and figured out there was another bolt that was behind the bumper shell. To get that off, I had to take off the grill to get to the bumper clips. It took about and extra 1-1.5 hrs. . Basically, your info was good but a little different
Nice video...I have the same year and color Sienna...think I'll change them out this spring. Wish they made them out of glass like older headlights. Seems like it would last longer that way and not get so yellow and faded.
What a great and well done video. Very professional thank you.
Thanks for being thorough. Hit a deer on the left. But I'm now going to do both to look better with your advice.

Very detailed. Great video.
Your video is an excellent instruction on how to replace the Sienna headlights. It is easy to follow what you did, thank you. My 2007 Sienna headlights had seen their better days and I want to replace them after watching your video. The question is...how are the new headlights holding up after five years since you made this videos?
10:58 Thank you for pointing out the adjustment screw, I watched a different video for the installation that didn't mention it and had to search to figure out why my beams were pointing at the trees.
very nice job with the video, great information
Excellent video.
Excellent video! You made it so simple, even a non -mechanic caveman with 10 thumbs could do it. Thank you very much!
Thank you very much brother! Very detailed video
Thanks for the guidance in getting new eyes!

It was very helpful 😊
Thank you so so much!! I am going to be replacing them myself ans this helps tons.
Alvey T Very precise and detailed information, thanks.
Thanks - I was going to spend $15 for a two-day subscription to TIS (Toyota Information System) to find this in the service manual, which probably would tell me to completely remove the bumper cover, rather than just pulling it out at the sides. And no, you don’t want to touch the glass part of the bulbs with your bare fingers - especially the headlight bulbs, because they run very hot, and the oil from your skin will shorten the bulb life, at least turning them black, at worst causing them to warp or explode. If you do get oil on the bulbs, you can clean them with a towel or rag, and isopropyl (rubbing) alcohol or a similar solvent.
great video! thanks a lot!
How have the assemblies held up, any leaks, or uv damage?
Nice video, I am planning to do for my 08 Sienna now. The video at 9.32 seems out of place since it shows you are unscrewing the old one instead of putting the screw on for new one :)
Hey, I love you. Thank you so much for the video. VERY precise, concise, detailed yet simple and easy too follow along. TRULY appreciated. 😊
Great video Thanks
Thank you!
Thanks so much!
Good job 👏👍
Fantastic video! Saved me so much time on bolt #4.
Argh. My 2006 XLE Limited has some “headlight computer” and a weird bulb for the main headlight. The replacement housing I bought looks exactly like yours. Connections are all the same except for the main headlight. Trying to see if I can rig the harness somehow :/
Thanks for the video. Looks like the hardest part of this job will be finding a 10mm socket.
Very good Thank You very much
Does anyone know what the outermost yellow lights (parking lights) are for? Or how to turn them on? Can’t get old ones or new ones to come on both before and after installation. Don’t know what triggers them..
Exelente video gracias
Nice nice! Thanks
Hi, can 2006 Sienna lens use on 2004 Sienna? Thank you!
Thankyou sr
Nice!
Great !
Is there a way to replace the lenses instead of the whole fixture?
Thanks for the video. I would have figured it out, but why try when somebody (you) already did.
Thanks
Here did you bought. the headlights assembly. Thanks

Amazon
it cost me two of the lense $ 170 & for my scion $ # 220 The scion one the way they hold the bulb is different .
At 3:29, make sure you turn the plugs 90 degrees if they’re not coming out right away. Otherwise you’ll break the top of the plug off.
👍😊
Might be worth considering replacing all the bulbs if you're going through the effort of replacing the lenses. Because at about 10 or so years, it's a matter of time before they burn out.
Well ill ask again how they holding up?
@toyotabrony

It’s headlights. They work like any other headlights. It’s the bulbs are how they holdin up.
What about the xle limited with motorised adjusting lights

@@johnwayne397 The limited with motorized adjustments uses HID bulbs not regular halogen. The assembly I received does not match what I have in van. The bulb burned out so I was going to replace whole assembly (about $85/per) and then determined, after setting them side by side, they do not match. I just came from dealer and the Limited has HID bulbs which changes the game. The bulb at the dealer is $150 and at O'Reilly's is $100. I decided to just replace the bulb and live with the discolored lenses on the assembly. So I am now searching online for a better deal which I think I can find for about $50. Then I have to figure out how to change the bulb. Doesn't look as easy as Halogen but I couldn't find a video online for this procedure. Thanks for replying so quickly.

Just ordered bulb from Amazon to arrive Friday 6/19. $42. I pulled burned out bulb from factory assembly and it is the exact bulb that I ordered; A Philips D2R
What does “Factory HID” mean?
@stevem491
5 жыл бұрын
HID = High Intensity Discharge. These were not halogen (incandescent), but rather act like flash tubes that are constantly firing. They require a ballast to boost the voltage. HID's are usually a more expensive option if available. They are extremely bright.

It depends on ur trim level
This is one project that looks like a battery powered ratchet would be very handy! Ratchets are so akward!

Have a 2006 Sienna that had the lights resurfaced and now look horrible. Can't get anyone to do it including Sam's Club who did it and guaranteed their work. Wife checked with dealership who wants an outrageous amount. Ordered a set online and will do it myself.
These headlights didn't look too bad, I bet they could have been easily cleaned with some headlight restoration cream.
It’s 2006-2010. Earlier is different, and later is a new design.
OR they could make them out of glass so this isn't a problem.

They should've come adjusted at the correct height. Weird that they didn't!!!

I know this is 4 years old but, Lol ur stupid. And there’s nothing joke about it because, if we want to keep our cars for a long time, these headlights will get fated and make ugly yellow ting and dims our light source to the road very poorly. Replacing with a brand new pairs with crystal clear headlights, restores to see on the road at night is much better and gets ur confidence again. Nothing wrong spending $100+ on new pairs. Fuck it.
Thank you!
