I love this stuff, been using for 30 years now, since before I had a drivers license. I still get amazed at how good it works. Once you get up to speed (35+ mph or so) the air flow blows all the water beads off the windshild. I drove 2 hours through a heavy rain storm and left my wipers off the entire trip other than going out the parking lot . At night you bairly even see the beeds on the windshild unless you are near bright lights and you get a little light reflection off of them. I almost can't wait for it to rain so I can use it again.

I use Rain-X about every six to eight weeks. Works very well. Living in the Pacific Northwest you need it. I don't need full wipers any more. I just set the intermittent switch and I'm good to go. Love the stuff. I also use it on the inside of my windshield in the winter time to keep the fogging down. I remove it in the summer because it can cloud the glass.

I have a volvo 444 with vaccum wipers that are in need of being rebuilt. I find that when I apply a lot of rainex, the wipers work because there is less friction . This is better than the costly repair of rebuilding the wiper vaccum motor but I use alot of rainex

Noisy wipers are generally caused by one of 2 issues. Either they are cheap or defective wiper blades, or they are close to the end of their useful lifespan and need to be replaced. I have had the best results with Bosch wiper blades since they have a graphite coating on the rubber blade.

nambinhvu Lol he did it the lazy way. One might say he was efficient :) Why clean windshield when rainx can clean it for you lol. Why waste a rag when you have tissue stolen from gas station next to the windshield washer fluid . Does anyone actually know how RainX works? Because I don't. I'm guessing it's like a liquid/polisher maybe? Because that's what you do when you want to polish something or get rust off metal, they tell you to wait for it to haze. Just wondering, thank you

  • @nambinhvu

Mochaka Boom The way it works is it creates a coating of a non polar substance on your windshield. It's basically like coating your windshield with oil/wax, something that doesn't mix with water, but leaves a residue on the glass. After a while, the stuff wears out because of the sun's uv rays and other non polar substances stick to it and pull it off when cleaned.

Yeah it still works, but not as good. The best way is to clean the windshield with a razor blade or some 0000 Steel wool, soak a small cloth with it and put on a couple heavy coats, then when it dries buff the shit out of it with a damp microfiber cloth. It leaves the window looking crystal clear with no haze or streaks, plus since you removed any contamination the rain-x will adhere to the glass a lot better.

I'm surprised it worked that well, you did a horrible job of applying it. Sounds like a perfect product for me! I ain't exactly a pro either. It's cool that it's still works no matter how unprepared you are & how bad you apply it. Your video was bad but good at the same time. 🤔🙃 Not bashing or complimenting you. So don't get offended. 🙂 All I know is I should try it.

I hate this stuff. It makes an oily film on the window so when the wiper passes over its a blur. Never again.

+Daehawk You didn't apply it properly. Too much and it will do that, or improper application. Just follow the directions and it will be great.

The treatment works great but, as stated before, apply less or plan on a lot of buffing to remove the excess. In this case less is really better! You can apply twice, in light coats, to get better coverage but you still have to buff between coats.

the touchless car crash uses rainx on your entire car. can confirm- on the highway its awesome the rain wipes off and dries faster. city driving it doesn't do much... in fact it can be a pain to use wipers on you car if there tons of water

BoredThatsWhy It's apparently because is can cause a haze from the street lights in the city causing your windscreen to "light up" and it's most effective on a highway because of the speed your cars travelling helping to push the rain off your windscreen

HAHA This is NOT the proper way to put on Rain X!!!! Holy Shit! 3-4 drops on each side on the big front screen, circular motions with a super-fine pad and wipe of immediatly with a microfibre cloth!
