how the update now ? still problem like video above ?
No longer have this remote but I heard that a firmware update after this video was made changed the behavior so that the remote no longer disconnects when the goggles disconnect. Everything else shown in the video is still valid.
Top stuff. (Have one, and it's just awesome). Good job Hakko.
Thanks for the comment. Still liking this new version of the Hakko.
Just curious what about the power supply silencer? air flow? Temperature? Any issues?
No issues. This is to silence it.
Bunyip have different shaped faces to white mans😮
I've seen different shaped faceplates. Problem is that you don't know which you need until you buy and try. That gets expensive fast.
Hi Mangorille, can you send me a Screenshot from your filtersettings. I want to try your Pids and Filter Settings, but i can not find the Filter Settings in your Video. I use BF 4.5.0 and want to Set this manually, because you Fly at 4.3. my other components are the same as you used. Thanx in advance
You can see the filter settings in the Dump File in the video description under "My Betaflight 4.4.2 Diff Dump CLI & 3D Print Files".
I just bought a session 5 for my 5 inch fpv drone is the session 5 still good for fpv today or a gopro 12 is better and is the session 5 good for fpv at all in 2024
The video quality of the session 5 is very outdated. It was outdated when I did a comparison of the session 5 to the hero 7 black. But, the size and weight make it better for FPV. If you want the best video quality, unfortunately it's not the session 5. kzread.info/dash/bejne/a6JoldpmqpXAqNI.html
where can i buy
You can get it straight from BetaFPV here: betafpv.com/products/pavo20-brushless-whoop-quadcopter
Do you have props ends visible while flying in wide mode?
I didn't try Wide but you see a lot of the props in Ultra Wide so I would expect a bit of props in Wide.
Thus betaflight 4.5 work also in dji fpv rc2? Im struggling to set my fpv rc2 to betaflight 4.5 the reciever tab thus not read the fpv rc 2..
Which goggles and air unit do you have? Check out this video: kzread.info/dash/bejne/po2jz9p6krSdhtY.html
I can't get this to work, followed all the steps in your video. Controller binds fine, but I get no inputs in betaflight (also tried settings the SBUS Baud Fast setting to off in the goggles). I get an image on my googles Integra, so the connection from Vista to FC seems to be fine. "Configuartion/MSP" is ON under UART1 and "VTX (MSP + DisplayPort)" is selected under "Peripherals". So if I enable "Serial RX" under UART1 it should technically work, right? Drone is a GEPRC Cinelog 35 v1 (which I bought used) with an F722 AIO. There is also a TBS Crossfire RX soldered onto the FC under UART2, could that be an issue? The vista is connected through the 6-pin connector, that goes into the side of the FC. Do I have to solder something from the Vista to the FC to make this work?
You need to see which UART the SBUS (yellow wire) connection from the Vista 6-pin goes to. It will NOT be the same as where you have MSP turned on. You need two different UARTs for the Vista to use the controller 2, one is for the vista connection so it can communicate things like voltage, osd, etc. and one is for the receiver. Looking at the manual of your flight controller, you'd want Serial RX turned on for UART2, but if you see a Crossfire RX already on UART2 then this will not work. You need to move the Crossfire RX to another UART. geprc.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/10/F722-45A-AIO-USER-MANUAL.pdf
@@Mangorille Thank you, ended up removing the Crossfire RX before your reply and it worked 👌
@@DanielAx Perfect. You can run both (I've done it before) but you need to make sure they are on different UARTs and then just flip the Serial RX to the correct UART depending on which receiver you want to use.
Failed detecting ADB? what should I do?
Are you sure your goggles were successfully rooted? Do you have anything else open in the background that could be trying to access the goggles (such as the dji app or even the wtf webpage)?
I personally have the neweer nd,uv,&cpl filter set it works really well the reason I even bought an nd filter is because I want to keep my shutter speed the same but without an nd filter on a sunny day if I keep my shutter speed the same The footage will be blown out (which is a fancy term meaning way too bright)
I'm pretty sure all dji 03 nd filters are the same. They work by lowering your shutter speed Which creates more motion blur creating that smooth buttery footage.
Correct, the idea is all the same. What is different though is the durability of the glass and the mounting mechanism.
Hello, after I did wtfos my video was in 4:3 size. It's like that on goggles too. What could I do? use inav 7.0 Video: kzread.info/dash/bejne/nZeqpZhxppurfMY.htmlsi=AODkIjTCvEF5Jff6
Very neat mods
Thanks! Happy flying!
Just ordered this thing right before finding out about the new version dagnabbit! However, comparing the instructions pdf for each one, this "old" version with buttons actually seems less confusing to me. Besides, the new version only comes with a silver iron stand so unless you get the silver kit your stand won't match the station. Also, good old fashioned buttons always seem to hold up better over time in my experience.
I came from a station that had an encoder wheel, I actually like the buttons more now. I usually only need 3 temperatures anyway so the buttons let me get there fairly quickly.
I bought my Hakko FX-888D 9 years ago and still using every day without any problem.
Good to hear!
thanks but nothing works i have my first fpv drohne the cinebot 30 with air unit o3 and the remote 2. i was following all youre steps but the controller makes nothing in betaflight
Try turning off the DJI HDL (SBUS Baud Fast). Some have reported that they weren't able to get this working. I never had any problems but you can start there.
I FINALLY got around to doing this and i want to extend a HUGE THANK YOU for making this video!!!!it works better than new and dont have that stupid module hanging off the back of the tango2
Welcome. Check out the follow up videos as well for the ultimate sleeper mod.
@@Mangorille I saw the video, but im worried about all the mods involved with the new ELRS module. This one took a little massage to fit but is working perfect. Using the flip down original antenna on your new mod does look amazing tho!!!
@@Snakkerz003 The BETAFPV module is a lot more difficult to install but the extra effort gets you an additional 250mw (250mw vs 500mw). Go with whichever module you can find, they're becoming hard to find.
Dell has to have the worst prebuilds
Agree. I bought this during the great GPU shortage so this was the only way to get a GPU without a crazy mark up.
I would of went with a T-12 system where you can change the tips on the fly, They heat up way quicker than these. But I do like the simplicity of just up/down for heat controls, It would be a great introduction to soldering iron. Newer ones even have clocks really 99% of the people have zero need for a clock. Newer ones have setting for each tip you insert because each tip is different thickness of metals. If you simple T12 LED versions, If you want complex feature rich go for the T12 OLED. A few simple hacks like a proper earth ground is easy to do and usually not done in these T-12's, its a simple solder of a wire to the case or connector usually fixes it.
Sticking with my v2 goggles and using the Dji o3 air unit. Tried the goggles 2 and integra but they weren’t for me.
The v2 goggles are still a great option. You're really just missing out on two main features: the ability to embed the OSD into the goggle video recording and the OLED displays.
Wouldn’t it have been easier to orient the board correctly and use the built in plug for connecting the vista?
Easier yes, but I like the power lead to come out the front so that I can zip tie it to a standoff for strain relief in a crash (makes it more difficult for them to pull off the board in a crash).
Maybe a bit late since this is an old video, but i have a similar MSI and this tip helped a lot to improve temps. Put kapton tape, to block air from going down the open parts of the heatsink. 2 of the 3 fans ... are doing mostly nothing to cool the heatsink fins. Air has an easy way out through the gaps of the heatink. If you block those openings, suddenly temps drop a lot. Of course changing pads and paste are required, to get heat on to the heatsink in the first place. But putting the tape there, helps getting rid of heat with less fan speed.
Interesting idea, I'll have to try. Thanks!
Hi tehere!!You are doing a really great job. I am thinking of making a backup of the current software on the printer in case of a possible situation. Can you please explain how it is done.
Hi the second msp command its not valid on BF 4.3 or 4.5.imnot getting either the voltage on the dji googles im usin V2 googles
i have speedybee405 v4 I selected msp on uart1 and not working. I swapped the pins rx and tx on the o3 connector to the FC and still the same. im stucked
@@rondridealmeria Can you send me some pictures of how you have the O3 wired up on the flight controller? If you are not getting the drone's voltage on the goggles, usually that's a wiring issue.
@@Mangorille the funny thing is that the wiring goes to the FC to the dedicated connection and the pin order is right. Just sorted a couple of days ago, apparently Tx or Rx pins were not contacting into the DJI connector. Thanks for your reply!
What if it is UART 1, do you enter zero in the CLI command
If you are running betaflight 4.4 or later you no longer use those commands. Check out the pinned comment. If you are using a version before 4.4, correct set to 0 if using uart 1.
Any idea why my Goggles 2 cannot record OSD from Betaflight (on 4.4 and 4.5 for 2 of my drones)? OSD recording is important for troubleshooting or recovering aircraft in event of issue. On the latest FW available BOTH Caddx Vista and O3 Air Unit. Goggles are on 01.09.00.00
Goggles 2 and Goggles Integra can record the Betaflight OSD in the Goggle recording. You need to turn on a setting, I can't remember the exact name but it's something like Goggle View Recording.
Hi, can you do a betaflight setup tutorial a tuning guide.
Check out Joshua Bardwell, he has a bunch of setup tutorials for betaflight. Tuning wise, I use PIDToolBox: kzread.info/dash/bejne/lqKKuZial8vFpZc.html
thank you so much for the instructions, but if you remove the rf shields wont a single drop of water compleatly destroy it?
The RF shielded areas aren't fully sealed to begin with and there are areas of the unit not covered by the RF shields. But yes, making it naked could impact the durability given that the components are more exposed. I haven't had any issues yet and I crash all the time in wet grass.
Can I flash inav on this one?
It's not clear to me. The specs say Betaflight but the manual shows INAV as a firmware type in the screenshots. I'd suggest logging a ticket with Speedybee to confirm before purchase. They're fairly responsive.
yes perfect under INAV 7.1
Anyone have some tunes for them??
Check out my build video, I've got my Betaflight configuration and PIDs there for a 4s with 1404 and 1604 motors.
For the life of me, I can't use the DJI Controller 2 comfortably with a neck lanyard.. The controller just seems to shift constantly, causing constant distractions..
Been a while since I used this remote given my experience but don't recall this being a big issue. I had other issues that perhaps overshadowed.
@@Mangorille It has plenty other other small issues as well, but for me the fact it won't stay planted is a deal breaker. It works great with the Avata but not a fan of using it with the 5" freestyle I recently built.
@@J_Madison Ya, invest in your favorite ELRS controller and never look back.
@@Mangorille my thoughts as well. The Boxer Max by Radiomaster is looking mighty tasty!
Hey man, thanks for this video, I now have that sweet custom DJI OSD just like the pic on the github page, The guy provides his own racing_chnl_osd_win.xml on the page and if you have the conthrax.ttf pushed you can just push his . xml file to the googles and it looks and works great, no need to mess with it yourself, only mod I had to do myself was move the DJI transmitter icon, (because I love it and wont switch as I only fly v1 air units.) which was easy after seeing his file. I now have MSP OSD, Custom DJI OSD and live audio. Thanks again could not have done this without the Video.
Have you guys tried to jack the entire front end or entire rear end as to place the vehicle on 4 jackstands? Just wondering how ya did it. Thanks
Nope, there are no front and rear jack points like on a traditional car. To do it safely you need one of those shop jacks that lift the car from all four jack points simultaneously. Having said that this guy has done it at home but did say that his jack points were damaged. teslamotorsclub.com/tmc/threads/how-to-get-your-model-3-on-jack-stands-without-any-special-tools.261835/
@@Mangorille Thanks man. But the former drifter in me won’t allow me to “balance” the car in that way. It looks like once the front and rear aero covers are removed there’s a plethora of subframe to safely lift the front or rear (Model Y). That will free up the jack points for the 4 jackstands. Looks like the lower control arms inward pivot points are potential targets as well. Can’t see it too well from other videos but the covers are probably on them. But you can either drive up on some wood and or traditional ramps and access the aero covers. I like using wood or a nice rubber pad on my floor jack. It really depends on the vehicle. Cheers
@@vqdriver I agree, that is just asking for something to twist. On a conventional car, I would find a middle back (usually differential) and middle front (usually cross member) jackpoint and use those, of course doesn't apply to Teslas.
Hi Mangorille, please can you make a screenshot from your Pids and Filter Settings from your 4s Setup. I would like to Test this with my Djinn Build too. I use BF 4.5.0 default Settings and like to Test your Pids and Filters. Thank You for your Support , best regards Sascha
The pids you see in the video is on a 4s setup. You can also find the betaflight configuration file in the video description.
If i may ask,,, Possible the BTT TFT35 will work with a MKS Tinybee board ? i cant find the vid u mentioned.

so this version is suitable with avata to right ?
I'm kinda new to 3D printing and was wondering if there is a specific reason why the firmware has to be from an SD card instead of USB?
Is there a way to change the filament in the touch menu? Is it only in 12864 mode?
Close but no cigar. So the big question is does it work with the controller 3 buy DJI. I'm a complete newbie I'm trying to find a simulator that works with a DJI of attitude and its controllers. Any help would be greatly appreciated a video would be even better
Your best bet is to ask on the DJI forums. I don't intend to purchase the controller 3 after my experience with the controller 2.
@@Mangorillewhy what was wrong with your experience with the controller 2?
Hi, i saw the filter Setting in den BF Tab, Both solidere are full at the right side. Ist this correct? Whats the motor temperature, are they overheating? Regards, Sascha
Correct, I rely more on the rpm filter. You can have the sliders all the way to the right if your quad is mechanically sound and not very noisy. If unsure, start with the filters in the middle default position.
I have the problem that I bought a ready-made Djinn25, which has the same hardware setup as yours. Unfortunately, I can't set up the copter properly. It twitches on the yaw axis during flight. I want to test your PID tune now. I suspect a defective gyro.
How exactly does it twitch and under what sort of maneuvers?
@@Mangorille i have these twitches, if i take off and the Copter does go with the back to the left side clockwise. During flight, you can also clearly see these twitches through your glasses. I suspect I have a bad gyro. I will now test your dump and see if the flight behavior changes. Without a propeller, the motor tab looks inconspicuous. The motors spin up smoothly without any failures. Really weird
@@SaschaMittag Without the props on, do you feel any weird vibrations when you spin up the motors? If you put all the bars at one point on the motors tab, do all the motors show roughly the same rpm (you'll need bi-directional dshot turned on for this)?
@@Mangorille no weird vibrations, i changed to Bluejay and Set the Pids and Filters to default. The copter Flow better. I will try your Set up again and give you a reply.
Hi Mangorille do you use Bluejay or the Stock esc Firmware Bl Heli S, with your PID and Filter Setup ? Oh sorry i didn t see your Video Part with the Bluejay flashing my mistake
You want a firmware that has bi-directional dshot. Either blheli32 if supported or bluejay.
@@Mangorille i have the Same Stack with the new Bosch Gyro . ESC are jh40. Bluejay is possible
@@SaschaMittag Definitely get bluejay on there.
