One of my favorite games of all time. Own an original copy and emulate it on my RG35XX and Miyoo Mini Plus. Would love to see a port or a new Pokemon Pinball game on the Switch.

I was one of those kids that was given one of these when I was younger by my grandfather and relatives. The only games ever completed were the two Bonk games. But sadly, it was lost during moving to a new home. So I was never able to play more than the Bonk games and the few other games that were with it. Too bad the console and its mini counterparts are too dang expensive to get or I'd love to replay the games again one day.

Because it wasn't a flop in Japan it was huge there and you aren't only limited to the US releases now you can get all the cool stuff that came out in Japan back in the day.

im a bit comfused .. some of the games here looks more like some advanced Sega 32 games quality 10:01 .. and then all of a sudden it shifts to an 8-bit baby NES games quality 9:05 ,, so which one is it ? lol

Why i dont like about the Gamecube: The fragile analog stick on the controller. It breaks all the time that cause it to drift like the N64 controller and Switch Joycon.

I have this system. Came in a suitcase type set up and was a pretty cool system until I got my Sega Genesis. I still have them both but the last time I saw them was in the boiler room of my mom’s basement back in 2005. Pretty sure they’ve already rot to dust, but if not I just noticed they’re selling for a pretty penny today. 🤞

Did you know that they make an HDMI adapter that snaps on the back in place of the stock cover? I have one and it works great! You get stereo sound with it.

Owned two GameCubes. No complaints. Only reason one broke was because I didn't understand how important it was not to touch the laser. Looked great ran great, great with friends, Gameboy player. Gameboy player basically tripled the utility since most of the best GBA games were either long or fantastic SNES ports.

havent watched the video yet, but its a great system with a great library of games ... problem for me was when it was new im standing there looking at a NES a TG16 and a Genesis ... for the money it was kind of a no brainer. My cousin got one and we played that thing like it owed us money, course we did that with my Genesis and eventually his SNES so

The GameCube had amazing games. One of the best libraries in video game history. But at the time everyone (including children) wanted to play M rated games like Halo, COD and the king of them all GTA. Nintendo was lame comparatively.

Simple. The teens and young adults realize how kiddy Nintendo was becoming, lack of a mario game upon release and around an era where they experimented with IPs. See Wind Waker for example, disliked by such groups while PS2 and Xbox were showing older demographics what they wanted Now, the Gamecube is highly regarded because little timmy at the time was 7/8 years old and began building his childhood with the console. fast forward, its nostalgia Nostalgia bias, really

When I was a kids d, my parents couldn't afford to buy me a TG16, so I went door to door selling stationary and greeting cards for months to buy one of these along with the CD drive add on. Some real gems in that catalogue.

I've been following the game industry for over 25 years the Gamecube wasn't a flop it sold 25M+ units. Back in that time if a console sold over 15-20M units it was considered a success just like the games if a game sold 250,000 copies it broke even if a game sold 400-500T it was time to pop some bottles and it became a Greatest hits or Players choice title, 1M copies time to pop 10 bottles

I think part of it was the gaming culture at the time, people wanted hyper violent "edge lord" games, like Halo and GTA, not cutesy games like pikmin or Mario Sunshine.

Lost a year head start over Genesis release due to ridiculous redesign, pack in game was terrible for North American market, lack of marketing, lack of licensing, NEC awful choices porting over from Japan, extremely short controller cord required extensions, required TurboBooster for AV out, required TurboTap for multiplayer which pushed price well above Sega’s Genesis at launch. I purchased both when they launched and while I enjoyed my TG-16 game releases were few and far between while the Genesis enjoyed more than triple games released in North America. It was very frustrating as a TG-16 owner back then.

The gamecube was never a flop to me. I saw a demo of metroid prime at walmart and right then and there I knew I had to get one and I wasn't disappointed. Didn't care that it had no dvd player or if the discs were small. The library of games are great.

I own a Big Red Neo Geo arcade and own several game switch the cases. I have been selling my collection because I got a Mistercade that’s allows me to play all the Neo Geo games from the AES, MVS and CD. The games play flawlessly with no lag and perfect translation of the games. I can even play two players on two different arcades to play two or more players games. I can play Ninja Turtles 4 players on two or more arcades.
