I must say I really like your enthusiasm about those retro games and consoles. All from not so well received games to Jaguar CD :) As a collector and retrogamer myself, it's a fresh breeze to have a channel to subscribe to that actually talks abaot the positive things about the games and their consoles. I used to love this series. I used to blast the soundtrack for fun. You can unlock the ending song but I can't remember how. It's truly a fantastic game!

Indeed! It really is a special title for the GBA, especially since it was a launch title. Every played Iridion II? It's a gem too.

I used to own this game and I discovered real early in my life the beauty and ingenuity this game provides. I have no idea what happened to my copy and wished I still owned it. The music is one of my favorite aspects of this game.

I love the soundtrack for this game! It really showed off what the GBA was cabable of. And to think, it was once of the first games ever released for the platform!

Considering the average distance between asteroids in our asteroid belt is about 100,000 miles, I would argue the only way to achieve those odds were if you were flying blindfolded with beers in both hands, and shooting holes in the hull with the gun held in your mouth while trying to swallow a tablespoon of cinnamon and juggling flaming chainsaws.

I did not have this game but I did play it because one of my uncles who had a Game Boy Advance bought a lot of games for it but mostly just to buy them and this game was one of those games. The game reminds me of Star Fox but what I liked more about Iridion 3D was the music. Shin'en was also the developer of Fast Racing NEO which is a Nintendo Wii U game and it does what Shin'en does best: push their system to the limit. Shin'en also made Fast RMX on the Nintendo Switch

That's a great memory to have! Playing and sharing games with family is special. I agree; Shin'en is amazing. Seems like everything they touch is gold and pushes the limits of technology.

“Never tell me the odds.” I’ll definitely give this one a shot; also I recommend you check out Iridion 2. It’s a top down shooter instead of a 3D rail like this one but it’s still got impressive visuals and is lots of fun.

I2 is a stunner, isn't it? Shin'en made some amazing games on the GBA. Absolutely pused the system to its limits.

If you have ever played or watched Galaxy Force II (Arcade), notice how Iridion 3D's 4th and 6th stages look inspired from Galaxy Force's 1st and 2nd stages. Seeing it in such pre-rendered mastery on GBA is so incredible.

GFII is a great game, isn't it? It brought a lot to the scene when it dropped back in the day.

I got this game not knowing how graphically awesome it is. My brain was “What!?!?” That can’t be GBA?

Mine too! It was literally mind-blowing at the time it came out, and it's still a glorious piece of gaming shmup to this day.

I have Iridion 2 and its really impressive as well but this is definitely the cooler and seems to push the system more. There is alot more variation in gameplay in Iridion 3D compared to Iridion 2

Agreed! The GBA gets a lot of justifiable comparisons to the SNES. But it's amazing to think that it could do this, and more, on the go with just a pair of AA batteries. Such great hardware!

This game was clearly an attempt at replicating Sega's galaxy force 2 on the GBA hardware and it's a pretty successful one at that.
