Dreadnought Factor and Gyruss look like games I'd definitely enjoy a lot.

I owned a Gyruss arcade machine back in the day. So I'm definitely particular about ports of the game. This one, for the hardware and era, is a gem.

I am amazed that in 2022, you picked up an Atari 400 for $50. It's such a workhorse of a machine and it runs so well; even in the 21st Century.

Thanks! Yes, the 400 is really something. I bought it at SEGE from a vendor based out of North Carolina. He had all of the models, except for maybe the XEGS, on the table there. He had such passion for cleaning, restoring, and upgrading these systems. I'll likeky get something like an 800XL one day so the 400 doesn't get lonely. 🤣

You can get those memories back! The 400s are out there, even on eBay, for very reasonable prices. Go for it! Lots of fun to be had.

Nice selection of games! I experienced those games last year for the first time. I bought an Atari XEGS for my collection and an AVGCART to play the whole library. Such a nice console and computer. As a console collector interested in the whole history of gaming I like your videos. Too many collectors ignore pre-NES systems

I was a small child in the early 80s but I still miss the period of time when technology like this was both much simpler and much more complicated than what we have now. That stuff was difficult to use compared to our phones but at the same time a computer was just a computer. It ran what you told it to run and wasn't integrated into every aspect of your life. Smartphones are amazing, but I also kinda hate them too. No way am I getting any sort of "Neuralink" type device. That's where I draw the line.

The 400 was ok but you really want an 800 (Or XL/XE). More memory and real keyboard.

Need to really put up a warning in the beginning or at least a few seconds before you show flashing lights like the part where you describe the explosion in all of the 8 bit glory because that can trigger a seizure and I'm so thankful that I wasn't watching this with a friend of mine who has epilepsy and the seizures will be triggered through flashing lights, stones etc. She has a bad case of that. So plz in the future have a warning at the beginning or a few seconds before the flashing lights appear ? Thank you and have a wonderful and blessed day and hope this helps! Stay safe out there! ☺️❤️❤️

Thank you for this great info! I'm working on adding this warning to as many games as will need it in the future. :)
