No animate guardian is a blessing, I might try it just by being a pure spectre build

I haven't played minions in a long time and not having to worry about AG is also a plus. I will def keep an eye on this build via your channel. Can't wait.

@@Luka-ml4ho I had Garb of the Ephemeral on mine and it was precisely the time when I thought it was invincible when it went AWOL on me in a blight-ravaged map. Granted, 3divs wasn't a big deal (or even a small deal, really) in Affliction league, it still stung enough that I took a few days off while in the middle of remaking my AG.

yeah, this is great just because you are not able to have an AG, thus it can be balanced around not having one

man so tempted to league start this once you get a build of some sort going this looks insanely fun

Summoners have been dealing with this ever since the game existed. 6L spectres in body and change a gear with attribute that disables your body due to attribute requirement would kill all spectres for example. So yea, I don’t see an issue here.

Hey Ghazzy, How do you think a spectre build will do in high-end maps? I'm talking MAX juice t17's with torment-possessed delirious rogue exiles running around with +90% effect of map modifiers. I feel a bow build probably won't be tanky enough, so I've been considering Boneshatter. I'd much rather follow your spectre guide though! I just don't know enough about minions to know if the archetype will fare well in these maps.

There's also the distinct possibility that Necropolis cemetery crafting can open up more options for us as well. I'd be really excited if we could get something like "Minions are Aggressive" more easily than we can now.

thats also what he said, that he just shows up as a regular monster, he can be white, magic, rare, etc that was also mentioned, and thus you can spectre him.@@elminster298

If Brutus can spawn as a pack then I imagine they have drastically nerfed his power output. That being said, 9 of them still sounds fun. Gonna build a minion build as a second runner as soon as I see someone make a faceroll boss killer with it.

GGG notoriously hates minions and spectres specifically, I'm sure they would delete it from the game entirely if it wouldn't enrage a lot of players. You can bet PoE 2 will not have anything like it.

ya are right. Its like the same when ya have this armor: Gost Shroud. Ya also have boots + gloves with abyss socket. Ya can also put jewels into passive tree. Its so god damn OP.

Brutus was clearly inspired by "The Butcher" from Diablo 1 (and later iterations). Imagine having a bunch of Brutus spectres that all use the voice line from the original Butcher - "FRESH MEAT!!"

You can, just be careful to use the same gem level, if your main raise spectre gem is 21(25) and the other one is 20(24) then you wont have the same spectre limit if you use the lower level gem and it would overwrite one of your main spectres.

Last time i played spectre, slave drivers were good. Arent they kinda good with their exposure and the attacks should be projectiles also, for shaper mods

It is a local mod, like armour/evasion %, it will only work on ghastly jewels socketed in the helmet.

All depends on how rare the helm is and how the new spectres run, otherwise I'll be more interested in doing a chaos/poison minion build.

Probably going to piss you off with this, but they also updated the Iron Mass... so any chance of an update on that one? I mean, it's the Necropolis league, so obviously all minions builds should be a priority :)

Random thought: The helm says +1 per socketed Ghastly Eye Jewel. It doesn't actually specify for the helmet. Is this applicable only for the helmet, for any other gear piece you have, perhaps ones in your passive skilltree? Just putting it out there, cuz if it's not locally for the helmet, this is gonna be one of the most busted builds in the history of the game

I didn't play affliction since i was noticeably burned out after playing so many years but the Necro ascendancy changes are intriguing me so much i'm probably coming back. New helmet would be fun indeed to fuck around with as well.
