EDIT: 2 new things based on the interview with GGG 1) They changed Call to Arms so you can only use one warcry now, I would recommend using Enduring Cry here over Infernal Cry. 2) Supposedly the build should be able to be played without MTX now if you enable Dynamic Culling based on this reddit post old.reddit.com/r/pathofexile/comments/1bogx4y/ggg_i_implore_you_to_apply_a_fix_for_desecrate/kwqenwp/?context=10 A lot of people are asking whether this is a good leaguestarter for SSF, it is definitely optimized primarly for trade league and the day 1 progression in SSF will probably be quite painful since you need 2 transfigured gems and a 5link to even swap. Otherwise the build doesn't require too much trading to be played and preform well. I would suggest paying attention to the "Checklist for Swap" part of the video and if you think that is ok for you to do in SSF then go ahead but expect a rocky day 1. i‘ll go with this in SSF and prepped myself mentally for 30-40 merc lab runs already :) lab in general a good resource for some currency and a start to get the first 150 fusings for the 5link. since there is no hurry in SSF its perfectly viable in my eyes

Adding a quick note here. The mod life regeneration rate on gloves is particularly good because you get both life and es regen from inquisitor wich helps your sustain life AND mana sustain (eldritch battery) wich is a problem for CoC build

That is true, it is a very good mod but you honestly don't have big issues with mana sustain once you switch to Vitality at all

I played test this build and I can't thank you enough Ventrua, I've never played dd in my life and I made so many mistakes that it's hard to count them and I thought that this build is 100% bait. You've covered basically every mistake I made which were: spectre corpses pool COC skill order diamond flask mod assassin's mark 0 qual (it's funny that I've tried to fix power charge issue with tornado + power charge on crit lmao) LS of spraying 0 qual no MTX 150% crit chance mastery didn't take corpse life wheel Ran normal labs only I mean the number of mistakes I've made is insane and I have more than 5k hours in this game. Thanks for the guide, hf in lab next league boys.

Can't decide between this and necro dd for my ssf start. I want to try the new uber content and can't decide which one is better for getting up there. I don't mind downsides of lab grind or 2 button playstyle but is the coc version harder to scale up than necro?

Its preference if you're OK with 2 button playstyle to do DMG or only 1. I personaly don't like this kind of 2 button playstyle (tried it with ED/Contagion back in the days), therefore never played DD until now. I think Necro DD does more boss damage at the higher end, Inquisitor is probably way more tanky and does a lil bit less boss DMG (but still more than enough for all content).

Was going to ask a similar question. @ventrua How do you think this will compare with Necro chain DD on day 1-3? My goal is 8 hour voidstones (minus the lab time), fill out atlas and all invitations, make some money for a day or 2, then roll a HH mapper. 2 button playstyle aside, do you think this build is actually a STRONGER league start than Necro?

Rly nice build, and great Guide. I m playing it on SSF Necropolis and its strong and fun build.

Extremely strong build that i was planning to play but the recent optimization problems + the mtx prices (more than 25$) make this build unplayable for me. 25$ is a full AAA game price when converted to my currency.

The swap for this is absolutely not league starter friendly. I'm stuck, don't have currency to buy the gems, can't do maps to get currency and can't do merciless lab efficiently. First time in like 7 years I have to farm low level areas to get gear to even do lab.

I Did demolition heist for about 2 hours at the end of act 10. Had enough raw chaos to buy all the gems.

I got lucky and made 180c before finishing the camapign. I used 150c to conplete the CoC swap. Absolutely this is not a league start build if you want to swap before starting maps.

I appriciate the quality of the build guide but the bossing capability especially early on the league was dog tier. I'll be avoiding Ruetoo's builds for sure in the future :) Can't believe how many PoE content creators fell for this and recommended this build including imexile and dslily. In Affliction, I killed all pinnacle bosses with pretty bad Lightning Arrow gear by Day 4 of the league, Exarch and Eater was done in 10 hours following Havoc's speedrun guide, that was essentially a T7 Cemetery farmer. This build can't even do Shrek on Day 2, won't even attempt the Exarch guardian. It just doesn't do any damage at all! This build is okay for farming up to yellow maps, but even Ruetoo was showcasing the build with blank/ normal maps which does not represent early league atlast completion at all + farming the vagan Hits Can't be evaded is also so much reliance on RNG. Lesson learned, always watch a full proof of concept with a proper SSF Wipe speedrun to kill the 2 pinnacles and see how the build creator does it!

Have you done the swap? Currently looking for a 5 link after getting gems fairly quickly (ssf). It's probably the squishiest build I've ever played, hoping it gets better after swapping.

I ran labs for like 4 hours for the gems and eventually got both gems. From there I kept live search open for 5 Links on trade site until a cheap one got listed. It just still feels very very squishy after swapping too. The only difference is there is a bit more offense when you swap which feels okay. Its just an enemy looking at you strangely will kill you. I was doing 4-5 portals on tier 2 maps.I have since re rolled.@@EvenFlow12345

Thanks for this guide. The biggest thing I can say for people leveling with this build still would be to grab curse w/flammability on hit RING, makes leveling alot smoother. Jewels and Spectre's = Get them ASAP.

Late to the comment party, but really enjoyed this build. Played it in HC a few times first, then swapped to broSF softcore, and it truly breezed all the way to 100. No trouble at all, despite being SSF.

OUR build

Just a small note on the high up corpses. There are two corpses in delve that have the same hp as kitava heralds. One is a lithomancer and I can't remember the name of the other one but it spawns in the same area as the lithomancers

OK OK OK I hated it at first... bc of LAB Prison and 5 buttons to kill beefier stuff.. I now have DD set up first 50c went to DD of Chain bc i didnt feel like farming it anymore. Actually loving it now that i have it "set up" and by set up i mean legit bare minimum if that gear to make it work but it works for suree lol big fan thanks for the in depth guide appreciate it!

classic high standard ventrua build

Since i didn't find any answers, i hope someone could help me out: 1. Why do we use Lancing Steel? The Skill feels a bit slow instead of skills like Cyclone 2. For Movement, why do we use shield charge and not whirling blades or leap slam? With leap slam you wont suddenly stop like shield charge. Thank you for answering and thumbs up for the detailed guide.
