Edit: Clarification on bis spectres for Zoomancer is for single-target boss fights for clearing you'd replace the Arena Master with Carnage Chieftain as the Frenzy charges provides more stable dmg output when they are allowed to build up 3 charges. So single target vs clear. Warcaller is obviously a great decision as well. Always go with the written guide to make sure you have the optimal set-up as it's a matter of opinion based of content you're running that dictates the choice in the end. Clarification on BAMA spectres is also for single-target as you normally do so much dmg that having Arena Master and Warcaller is a solid choice. I am however more open to changes on BAMA specifically whilst the Spectral Leader and Pale Seraphim I'd not change. Do keep in mind that the PoB is a rough draft with a handful of issues that is being resolved during the night (right now) as it's being turned in to a written guide. Stay tuned :)

What's also worth mentioning is that the Spectral Leader's AI makes it avoid melee and through that, taking its action speed buff away from melee minions. Crazy powerful minion, but incredibly inconsistent, esp without Convoke. Also the Arena Master's buff uptime is significantly lesser than the Warcaller's, for what that's worth.

It is also easy to miss Warcaller buffs when you are moving.

Started with archmage kightning bolt. Best league start ever. After completing atlas and farming some currency will be starting spectre build. I think it's absolute best skill in the entire game

With poedb not always telling the whole story (especially regarding how many times certain abilities hit, etc. ex. Pale Angel, Moon Dancer,), I find it hard to define any best spectre with over 50 new ones and such little testing being done overall. I've tested hundreds of spectres, and cleared all content with spectre-carry builds in SSF/private leagues for years. I HIGHLY doubt enough testing has been done for any king to be crowned in the carry department. Sure, the low hanging fruit have been identified, Wretched Defiler has good numbers, but there is a lot more research to be done.

Anything functioning as expected as been tested and verified but you can always include human error and the possibility of interactions working in a different way than intended (such as Syndicate Operatives) to de-crown the current state of bis spectres.

Pale Angel was precisely what I was interested in testing with Wraithlord. I felt back in Scourge league (as shown by Kay, back when she still played - miss her content) that maybe pure spectres with pale angels could work if we had more of them. Hopefully we'll be able to test that and see.

@@AgentYoda Pale angel had it's functionality randomly changed approximately when they implemented the changes to beyond. The primary ability does way more damage than it indicates now, it is probably hitting more than once. Still not a great spectre, but yea.

Hi, I'm trying the Herald of Purity build this season. Should i use the specters from the support/utility section ? Or other ones ?

For the Wretched defilers, the POB says to get ghastly eye jewels with physical / cold damage. Shouldn't it be physical / lightning damage as it scales with their attack types?

Does the action speed stack or multiply with Torrent's Reclamation? Both seem like increases, so you could get 30% action speed. I wonder if that would be worth sacrificing DE? Since action speed is essentially a multiplier for attack/cast speed. Also, I wonder what it would look like if you didn't use Whispers helmet and used the new 20% action speed spectre with Arakaali's? It sounds broken with attack speed stacking. Edit: I just POB'd it and Arakaali's actually gains significant damage over Whispers with support spectres (I used Pale Seraphim, Spectral Leader, and Arena Master (have to just add the de-buff description for the last two). I'm excited to make a build with this.

Moon Dancer actually matches my playstyle perfectly. I don't plan on doing any pinnacles, catch me next league on wasting my amulet slot to make that whack lightning proj spectre work lol.

Im currentlay playing a Zoomancer with 100% cold conversion. My spectres should be the following, according to your video: warcaller, crushclaw, spectral leader , arena master. sSould I rly use onslaught (warcaller) over 3 frenzy charges with the carnage chieftain (it performs worse according to PoB)? The spectral leader tries to keep his distance from the enemies. Thats obv. not good for my zombies + skele setup. Is there an other option than spaming convocation to keep the aura uptime high (maybe an alternative spectre)? An other things that bothers me is that something is cursing the enemies and constantly overwriting my frostbite. Could it be the arena master?

I feel like warcaller outperforms carnage chieftains, and I've been using those for decades, the almost permanent uptime makes it so solid, I reckon they'll nerf it at some point.

Hey Ghazzy! The PoB for the ZooDancer build references "Carron & Stone Golem 3L" but it only has Stone Golem, and you do not take the passive for the extra Golem. Curious if the description is just a typo =)

oh, before I forget - Meat Shield Increased Duration Proximity Shield Spectres are Very Funny and can work well with the Spectral Leader's shortened uptime. The Prox Shield doesn't get 100% uptime but it's damn close

Look into Storm Conduit. I'm serious, these can be used as support boss killer spectres. With Raise Spectre -> Minion Damage -> Lightning Penetration alone (room for 1 more) and a 25 spectre gem, running 4 of these, they are dealing insane damage. I am running ranged AW which does about 1 million dps to bosses, but clears insanely fast with GMP. Now when you factor in Storm Conduits with the links + 4 of them, they are literally nuking bosses instantly. T16 map bosses die in 1 second from the burst. It's insane.

For BAMA, my understanding is that we're typically resummoning the clones very rapidly to utilize Fresh Meat. How do the buffing specteres (spectral leader, arena master, warcaller) interact with minions created after they cast their buff? Is the buff an aura that's being applied to everyone around them while it's active? Or does it get applied to each thing indepentantly at the time of cast, and newly created minions won't get the benefit until it's recast again?

The cultist warrior spectres are amazing! You can get one by using an all flame of ember. They summon frogs but the main thing good about them is that they summon skitterbots that use different curses. I identified one as temporal chain but couldn't identify the other, it looked like vulnerability but not entirely sure. Also, the lunar turtle is great as a chilled ground dropper and it uses a freeze breath, tidecaller uses a wave that stuns enemies.

Update: The other curse it casts is enfeeble. One skitterbot casts enfeeble and the other casts temporal chains.

I love your build and the wretched defiler, but I hated the petrified blood aura setup instead of skitterbots. I died a lot with it...

Arena master sucks for non permanent minions lol, its buff isnt an aura like spectral leader so if your minion dies it just goes away, no idea why its rated so high. also btw wretched defilers do 80% less damage to closer targets, which is why thier damage seems so low but thier numbers are so high, if you want the giga dps lightning specter go with storm conduit from the league mechanic instead

Arena master sucks in general IMO, he buffs for 4 seconds with 12 second cooldown, the uptime is bad, there are many other spectres that have nearly perma uptime of buffs/debuffs, no need to use Arena master

but what is the storm callers uptime on their dps? last i looked they have a pretty long cd on their death laser, and the wretched defilers actually space themselves from their target to maximize dps btw, so that part isnt as important as youd think. it only matters when your trying to get spectral leader buff on them as well to group them all up together away from their target. I would probably say that storm conduit is probably better for pure bossing, but also they are way less tanky too, so they would perform worse in mapping were degens and such are much more prevalent and would melt them way faster.

Yes...moon dancer makes 5 fps when u link with greater volley and minion speed and spell echo... Unplayable so i switched to crushclaw.

Not sure how spectral leader as 4th spectre is more dps than another wretched defiler. 20% action speed buff is literally 20% more damage. Going from 3 to 4 spectres is 33% more damage. Unless you're running them in a zoo build of course.

It is 100% best level combo.

i disagree with your take on arena master being better than warcaller. The arena master uptime for SRS is not even 50% so you cannot compare them 1 for 1. also you get onslaught for free on your character which means you are getting 20% movement speed 100% of the time, but arena master you dont.

Arena master is pure $hit because: -Sudden increases of movement speed can make you to literally lose control for a split second, eventually causing you to die if the thing that you are trying to avoid is deadly enough; -Uptime of the Arena master's buff is around 50% which is kinda useless. Spectral leaders' action speed is obviously huge, but again - it's an instant boost of action speed (also with certain AoE and % uptime) that can literally help you die for the same reason. I pity people who choose to add more masochism to a game that is already masochistic and unbalanced by nature. If the big-stick guys have a nearly permanent uptime for Onslaught then why are we even discussing Arena masters.
