Thanks for the mention on the show, big fan of the channel One thing I would like to mention is that strongman archives can be misleading in terms of results for big amateur shows like osg. Yes I took last in the final but the field was out of 36 athletes. So 10th/36 vs 10/10

You did great, hopefully you get to compete more in Giants Live competition 🙌
Cambi said himself that he would probably need around 3 years of training at the new bodyweight to get really good with it.

Sounds about right.
Aivars is my sentimental favorite. I'd love to see him get a major win to add to the great career.

He is one of the favourites to win, that's for sure.

I hope he wins....I can agree with Luke being in fourth only because he has kind of dropped points in overhead this past 2 years which was his bread and butter.
Never hate you mate ❤️❤️❤️

I feel like you guys should have a video on Tom focusing hard on worlds strongest man and how it may hurt his longterm legacy in the sport of strongmen. He’s a amazing athlete that may only finish with a handful of titles making his career look drastically different in paper versus the athlete he is.
Luke, Pavlo and Novikov is my top 3. I thibk there are very good events for Luke. His deadlift has always been his weaker event, but he has been getting stronger in this event, and the deadlift ladder is his best set up in the event. Think it was Europes 2023 he hid really well in the ladder

Novikov, Flowers, Stoltman
I want Luke 🌶🌶The Highland Oak to Win his 2nd Europes Strongestman. He has a great chance with Mateusz not being there. Hope he recovers well.

Hopefully Luke will be a winner again 🤞
I said it before Kieliszkowski ever got any injury's that his explosive technique would cause him problems as he got older, unfortunately it did not take long, as you loose the elasticity of youth injury happens easier with explosive all out movements.
Well said bros. 💪🙂🌶️🌶️

Yep, can't agree with you more 🤷
If he was healthy, I think Novikov would have a convincing win. Something has seemed off with him since 2022. He looked unbelievable in both WSM and the Shaw classic in 2022 even though he didn't win those shows and since then his performances have been all over the place. For 2024 ESM 1. Luke 2. Pavlo 3. Aivars

Luke, Pavlo, Shane
I have the same picks. Luke Aivars Novikov And yes, no more stones. That stuff should be set aside for an annual grip contest. Make it happen Giants or Shaw. A Super Bowl of grip.

Car Yoke is brutal. Arild Haugen was one of the strongest men in the world in 2008, and he said that he thought every bone in his body would break during the car yoke in the wsm final.
@LalasBrothers
Ай бұрын
It's brutal, but i think most of the guys already tried the car yoke set up before, so it shouldn't be to much of a shock to their bodies.
On the topic of newcomers: Lucas Hatton really impressed me, I can see him becoming a top tier contender and hope he'll be at WSM
Hi guys, I see Luke winning. I would love to see Aivers pull in a 1st place that would be cool. Now on to Mateusz a few months back I believe he was pulling truck arm over arm and had his feet placed against the forks on his machine? That looked very painful and not wise in my opinion. And I also wonder if maybe he had some unfelt micro tears from pulling that damn heavy bull at Rogue. Mateusz is my favorite I'm so bummed injuries keep getting him.
So it should be Ondřej Fojtů and Lucus Hatton who should get the remaining WSM invites.
@LalasBrothers
Ай бұрын
Pretty much, Ondrej did very well in Leeds 👌
Kind of crazy to me that Novikov has fallen so far that he's not assumed to win. It was only a couple years ago that most would say that Novikov was the top global strongman. He was incredibly consistent. Loz even did a list. Now though... I just want to see him back in shape and offering that competition to the other top guys.
@TL13579
Ай бұрын
Well, that is what a number of injuries plus home country in a losing war does.
There are lots of up and coming guys, they just haven't had the exposure yet. There is more talent out there than ever.
Great content. Im hoping for Luke to take the win. Hopefully a strong win. Love to see Gav do well. I out Aviars then Pavlo. No injuries happening for anybody will be the best thing to happen.
@LalasBrothers
Ай бұрын
I hope that Gavin can bounce back after poor performance at the Arnold UK, we all seen him do way better than in his last competition.
Strongman needs to stop doing these stone walks with hook grip. Doesn't help, doesn't prove your grip strength due to hook. Just do farmers or something similar
Broken record here, but the Dinnies (or "Dinnies") at the Arnold's was super exciting to watch. As a fan I totoally enjoyed it. So... maybe that's why?
I thought Luke Stoltman was on the wane and then he got his new coach. I'm so chuffed for him!

This may be me talking out my arse but Tom seems a lot more confident and self motivated these days. Luke definitely prioritised supporting his brother in the past so it seems like we’re now seeing Luke put his training first, which is likely to pay dividends.
1. Luke - 2. Gavin - 3. Pavlo - 4. Flowers - 5. Novikov - 6. Aivars - 7. Janashia - 8. O´Dwyer - 9. Fojtu - 10. Heinla - 11. Johansson - 12. Cambi

Got 1st, 8th and 11th correct :)
I'd love to see Novikov back on top!
100% agree with lalas but I think novikov or kordiyaka for 2
It's really tricky to know cos many of these guys haven't done much recently. The ones who have have competed against the best guys so a poor result is relatively meaningless when they are coming into a less stacked competition.
It's upsetting to me that Novikov is in such shape that it is even a question. 1.5 years ago and I feel like it's not even a conversation but he's hard a really rough time recovering his arm. I think the three former champs are the most likely to be the podium again.
@TL13579

Not just his arm but imagine his headspace with what's been going on in Ukraine.
@TheNigel2010
Ай бұрын
@@TL13579 too right, I can't imagine the mental weight and exhaustion
Lucas Hatton can be great
I'll say Luke, Oleksii, Gav in 3rd or Shane in 3rd
I think Luke, Aivars and Gavin fill the podium. Ukrainians in 4th and 5th
If Oleksi is healthy surely he’s a podium favorite
@LalasBrothers
Ай бұрын
If Oleksi is in shape than top 3 at least.
Matausz one of the best stongman to not win one of the major titles...quick recovery for him 👍
Gav Bilton had a knee issue which he picked up at either farmers or yoke i cant remember which one im worried this will hinder him at Car walk which he got redemption after what happened in 2021
Great work guys I hope Novakov can make a come back

Great analysis as always lads 👍 I think it could go 1. Kordyaka 2. Stoltman 3. Smaukstelis. P.S. V - Are you going with Levan again or do you think Devon can get the stop? and are you pulling at Shaw Classic again this year? Thanks very much 👍
@LalasBrothers

Levan should beat Devon, but in armwrestling just never know and when it comes to Shar Classic we don't knkw yet. Thank you for watching our videos 😊🤜🤛

@@joshuapinkerton5295 Do you think the 40th place person will go back next year. If anything is telling you to give it up then 40th out of 40th must be it. Thats a waste of entry fee. Paid the money just to get a front row seat.

Naah, bruh, that's a hate on Luke😮
They picked Nicol stones because they gonna be doing stone carrys at WSM
Also I never here of Aivers being injured? Has he ever been injured?
@LalasBrothers
Ай бұрын
Now that you are saying 🤔😂
Define "Europe".
Has to be Luke's to lose. Potential to win Viking press (seems to have sorted his shoulder issue) and Atlas stones (seems to have sorted the tacky issue). Then top 3 on Car Walk and Nicol stones, with a mid-table finish on deadlift - and this should be enough to win comfortably. A peak Novikov would have been the favourite but with his injuries and his country's war not exactly going well, doubt his head will be in the right space.

If everyone was at their best, Oleksii wins - but yeah we can't be sure what shape he's in. Think Luke has a good opportunity (last shot at a big title?), and would like to see Aivars challenging for top spots
I’ve been so bad at predicting, but I won’t get discouraged. Aivars to win, Shane in second, Luke in third. I also do not like the Nicol carry. Any event that makes the athletes look unathletic like these unbalanced stones. Likewise with the ruck backpacks at OSG. It’s not an impressive look from a spectator perspective to see the hunchback running that the backpacks force the competitors into
@LalasBrothers
Ай бұрын
I am with you 100% on Nicol carry.
I just really hate Nicol Stones. Boring to watch and there are plenty of people outside strongman who would outperform the Strongman athletes in it. It's an embarrassment of an event. 1. Luke 2. Fredrik Johansson ( Because I want a good Scandinavian into WSM again!) 3. Smaukstelis. I would love to see Novikov and Bilton do good, and I originally have them as #2, and #3 but I think they have injuries.
@LalasBrothers
Ай бұрын
I share the same view with you when it comes to Nicol Stones, it's just doesn't excite me and this event puts competitors in unnecessarily dangerous position with that imbalanced weight.
Nickel/dinnie stones is such a shit event. Wish giant's live would wise up and get rid of it and replace with a farmers walk as you suggest.
I think the Dinnie Stones are too much technique,vtoo little strength. Farmers walk is a much better show of strength.
