I started watching Greg Doucette's videos over a year ago. At first I was aggrevated by his thumbnails/clickbait and his (over) enthusiastic voice, but as soon as I started actually listening to what he says, I realised, he is an intelligent, well meaning man, who speaks respectfully. Even when he says things, people do not want to hear. He has a case, when he speaks. I also watched some of Pa O'dwyer's videos, and to me he seems more superficial. It seems like he wants to make fast, fun punchlines. Not an uncommon phenomenon on the social media....... To me Pa seems far less trust worthy, less well prepared and far more "fast and smart". As you say, Greg only repeated the female athletes own words about mental health. Greg mentioned it himself, Pa did not care to research, which would have been an easy task. To me, that makes Pa the bully. Thank you for this important, relevant video/analysis 👍👍👍☀️☀️☀️. Keep up the good work.

As much as Greg Doucette deserves criticism at times, especially his recent decision to double down on turkesterone in spite of the lack of evidence of its efficacy. Pa O'Dwyer is just a below average strongman using online drama to try and stay relevant. Him finishing at the bottom of his group in this year's WSM means he doesn't deserve another invite next year.

Vytautas as a bodybuilder would have been fucking crazy. The only dude that was as wide as Hafthor and Shaw.........yet was so much shorter.

Not a fan of Pa, he is clown that gets more opportunities in strongman than he deserves, but I can't see him doing anything wrong here. Greg is eager to comment other people's choices, puts his wisdom nobody asked for, it's kind shitty way to generate clicks. He avoids being negative, he talks quite calmly and in friendly manner but his content is not friendly at all, I would not be surpried if his follwers would behave in negative way towards creators who were the topic point of Greg's videos. And now Pa comes, says something bad about it, makes the same shitty reaction content, but now death threats are his falut? If you grow enough on any social platform, you will get negativity and threats. Harden your skin, report threats that feel genuine. Crying about "bullying" is a bit childish here.

The fact that the comments were on her wall is sort of irrelevant though, if the people posting the abuse are coming from Greg's channel. I don't think Greg was trying to send hate her way, but the man has literally 100x her follower numbers, and a decent chunk of those deserve Pa's epithet based on their behaviour, and Greg should probably be a bit mindful of that if he is suspecting that someone is dealing with an ED. I think Greg is generally a good guy, but the man has very thin skin and is terrified of being cancelled, so when asked to take something down by someone dealing with some personal stuff... instead of just deleting the videos and losing a few thousand views of the millions he's racking up every month, he makes a bigger deal out of it and ramps the hate up to a thousand. Pa is just a dick, but his response to Greg was surprisingly reasonable even if his video was unnecessary.

Pa O'Dwyer is just the latest version of what Robert Oberst was trying to do... play the heel, create negative animosity, and stir up controversy. "There's no such thing as bad publicity, as long as they spell your name right"

Its not hypocritical if you come out and admit you did the same thing, and now with knowledge and experience you realise it is the wrong thing to do, or maybe warn people against it for this and that reason. For instance, he advocates PED for people trying to get to the very very top of body building, because he knows thats what it takes, but at the same time he warns people off it, if getting to the very very top is either unobtainable (genetics) or simply not a goal.

Greg shared her video as click bait IMHO. If her original post asked for advice on nutrition etc then sharing and commenting made sense. It didn’t. He just chose to use someone’s struggles as a way to get hits. Turning the comments off means nothing when a bigger account is driving traffic to her page who then shit on her. Why should she have to turn off the comments on her own post just because he shared it. He comes across like a misogynist who thinks he knows everything and a huge hypocrite. Then again Pa is picking bigger accounts lately to grow his own audience too. So maybe everyone is just playing the social media game. Pa may not get a new sponsor but his merch is doing well and he’s now selling songs!

The thing ith Greg Doucettehe "calls out" a lot of people in a negative way, he even did it to Brian Shaw a couple of years ago. His basic message is not bad, however he wants to sell you his diet books and supplements. He calls out everyone for PED use but he himself wa a huge user and also sold them forwhich he was arrested, I think many are using this post to clap aback at him, As for Pa, he should stay out of it.

TBF to Greg, he calls out people for *lying about PED use* not for them using PEDs. He talks openly about being on PEDs, his exact doses etc. and although he seems to generally be of the opinion that you should only take them if you want to compete in untested body building, he doesn't seem to be opposed to that in itself. He competed for like fifteen years in natural shows before getting on drugs, so he suggests maxing out your natural potential to see where that is, but his issue is with the people pretending you can look like Mike O Hearn without taking steroids, not with steroids.

The “because she wants it” line was super cringey. You can’t make a statement like that. Maybe that’s why I can’t get on his side with this little online spat.

Personally, i feel context is important, and the fact is that greg is a former ifbb judge who was banned in part because he was talking sexually about female bodybuilders. Sure, maybe pa using that language isn't the smartest thing if he wants sponsors, although it seems like he does not care all that much. But the fact is that greg's track record doesn't speak well for him here.

Pa is not only a clown, but a pretty mid Strongman, I've no idea why he was invited to this years World's... The Gimmick Lion, not the Limerick Lion...

Gregs post was simply misguided, in so far as he is correct in what he says, but perhaps with his huge following, should keep away from smaller content creators, and he needs to be better aware of how his posts can affect others.

You can't have anorexia and not have mental health issues, anorexia is based in depression my wife suffers from it she has seen a few different health professionals and they have all told her the same thing

I love strongman Ive been a fan since 1999 and will forever be a fan, but bullying is childish , and to be honest I do see Greg and pa both as bullies to be honest, and i dont like either greg or pa, and I see pa doing the videos he does , is just to get followers, and he often makes videos " backing up" those who have a decent following, to get more subs, and that is my genuine opinion, also a year or so ago he had like 50k followers so hes doing this just doing this to get a following, and so this sport keep inviting him to shows cause he has following, similar to when they invited wheels cause he has a following, cause i know sports invite those with followings, inorder to get more eyes on the sport, and i dont agree what pa on what hes doing at all, it's embarrassing, I see them both as childish, and greg is a narcissist who always has to moan about something to slyly get views and promote his stuff, but the sport itself I completely love , apart from the odd negativity here and there.

They are both insufferable in their own right.

I've never liked Pa very much. He was one of the first guys repeatedly without being directly involved himself, started defending the Giant's live leadership when it was confirmed that they have sponsored athletes (Most open secret in strongman?) such as Eddie Hall and the Stoltman brothers. If he is such a standup guy, shouldn't he be defending the integrity of the sport? No he immediately went and kissed daddy's ass hoping to get a piece of that sweet ass Giants Live favoured athlete cake. Now he's trying to defend this woman against the horrible bullying Greg Doucette even though he's only saying the blatantly obvious that is there for everyone with a pair of working eyes too see, and took his comments down when requested by her. More likely he's just trying to get more followers/traction on social media by hating on Greg Doucette, a truly inspired move never tried by anyone else recently 😲 (And I don't even particularly like Greg either for that matter) .

Sorry but looking at her video it is obvious that she is not eating enough. Greg calls that out. Its what reaction videos are all about. Greg is a former IFBB bodybuilder and a coach, so he knows the dangers of EDs. He know s the dangers of not eating enough and speaks on those regularly. He most likely suffers from one himself. Over all I would say Greg is in a position of expertise to speak on the subject. I really can not find fault with Greg on this one. Pa on the other hand....

I did follow Pa for a while on KZread but very quickly unfollowed as it gets a bit boring when a grown man constantly talks about his knob, what is he 12? Okay I’ve listened to more of this now and while I stand by the underlying theme of being pro free speech in my first comment below, I have swayed totally against Pa. And this isn’t surprising behavior from him; us strongman fans know this guy’s personality. Marine Mike 🇺🇸 💪

I think all 3 are being bullies in their own way. I respected Pa for standing up for her and putting Greg in his place. But then I watched Greg’s response video and most of it made sense. The part that sucks for her is he brought up her mental illness and he also stressed that people shouldn’t hire her as a coach because she doesn’t even coach herself properly. True or not…that’s pretty harsh and falls under bullying. But I like Greg and ai don’t think he’s doing it to bring her down. That’s just him being honest and sharing his experience and knowledge. I wish he would’ve just been over in his response and apologized if he appeared to be bullying her but had no bad intentions. As far as taking the video down…that’s up to him. I probably would.

As an Irishman I want to see an Irish lad actually competing for titles not doing what Pa does, arguably he can be entertaining, but any Irish Strongman should focus on winning titles. I would if I was at international level

I’ve followed Greg since 2016 when he didn’t used to speak all hyper all the time and when he coined the phrase “Just don’t be a Pussy and Train Harder Than Last Time” and I think he is overall a great influencer with good solid intentions.
