This is no joke fellas. This is a new way to train all the classic movements such as curls, lateral raises, upright rows, barbell rows, rack pulls, etc #deadlifts #glutes #fitness #lifting

ATTENTION: This video is not solely about the kneeling deadlift, rather the art of kneeling 🧎 Truly a new approach to 🐴🐔ery

This is why we watch. Sometimes it's a golden tidbit, sometimes it's a golden nugget like this one. I'll be kneeling to the horse god during my sets now
The “squat everyday” guy does a kneeling pull before he does deadlift too, onto something there
Absolute magnificent state of the Rat's Nest. You know you did a good job with your homegym when there could be a squatter living there and you wouldn't even notice.
Hip thrust without putting a barbell on your hips. Great job professor! You've done it again.

I know westside used to use kneeling squats and kneeling deadlifts. And kneeling to a jump/olympic lift for the athletes that trained there. There’s a small amount of videos on the topic - they are hard to find. Several articles from the 2000’s tho. Ric the stick knows what he’s doing. 🐴🐔
I already get funny looks for doing Zerchers and barbell cheat curls so I might as well start doing kneeling movements at the gym.
I thought I was at a local Amtrak station the first 10 seconds of this video.
Ivan Djuric used to do these kneeling DLs at the start of his DL work set. He got there first!

The kneeling deadlift is a bit of a meme…this video is more about the kneeling curls and all the other stuff I talked about after. In my opinion the kneeling curl is money and something I actually will incorporate. The kneeling row is sick to isolate the back before getting to bigger. The kneeling deadlift only seems to beneficial to fire up the CNS before going for a big conventional deadlift. The kneeling shrug however is also money cuz it keeps shit strict
Eric, you gotta get some ventilation in there. Big exhaust fan or something.
I've seen this used as a great priming move to a deadlift. I also like that this will save bars from rackpulls
You can do this on a bench if you want to increase the range of motion.
this method unlocked rhinoceros dna

HOLY BUCKETS!!
Knee injuries waiting to happen. Could be wrong but personally never going to do this and risk it.. Love your channel thought great energy!!
I think this on the knees stuff would have incredible carryover to grappling, specifically jiu jitsu, where you’re in a kneeling position a lot
Doing stuff in a tall kneeling position is magic for real. It's so awesome that I almost never do it! Once every few years I do and think "This is awesome!" and then promptly forget to do it again. (edit - tall kneeling presses, high pulley rows are also magic)
Running while holding my breath took me to state.
Big brain movements right here
Speaking as a science based pencil neck, I do not think one should underestimate the value of being able to cultivate and maintain this level of pure love for hoisting iron day in and day out

I love your content and style BECAUSE you go outside of the bounds of convention. Most people develop an ego about it: butt cant go off the bench, Trap bar isnt a real deadlift, etc etc. I fell into it for a bit. But NO. Real life doesn't work that way. I've had a list of manual labor jobs. I cant imagine a co-worker having an attitude about how you choose to pickup a couch, refrigerator, a tv. "NO don't go wide grip on the couch." Or "Glutes only". You experiment with all kinds of techniques. And, no surprise, you are stronger than just about everyone. Go figure. So, I've adopted your mindset, I love it, and I make gains. Gotta try this lift you are demonstrating here. For the nerds out there with half their lifting career spent reading a text book, this lift will probably help all kinds of lifts: squat, deadlift, bent over row stability.. Anyways, I love it. Thanks for sharing.
Been doing these before a heavy deadlift past couple yrs since seeing Ivan - Squat Everyday guy

Bughagyos Grizzly, years and years ago you had a GOLDEN TIDBIT to do curls while in extension on a back extension. They kind of do what you're doing in this video and they really work great. I've put them in my training off and on since.
Kneeling overhead press could be money.

That sounds like spinal snap station… but the glute and core work would be insane
How about rack pull position, but knees only? I don't know how you'd be able to set up the deficit without a balance problem being off the ground (or maybe the bar is below the ground somehow), but I bet the benefits are multiplied with that.
Alright I'm in.
Like to see you and Shane Hunt get together for a workout . Squats, bench and deadlift.
I get the kneeling work in already by just being Catholic and showing up to mass on weekends. Kneeling for 5 minutes straight lights the glutes up like crazy.
Was waiting for you to bust out the 🐴 🐔 apparatus. Another idea spitball: glue your calves to your hamstrings and try horsing loads with that setup. Legs are basically a crutch
This hoss is harnessing his inner GRIZZLY.

I’ve got those same pencil neck dumbells lol
Now add the shaft
Ive tried these before and the tension on the spinal erectors is un-godly - another variation: from the kneeling position, place one leg over the bar and bend forward from the hips and bury your ribcage into the lead leg - the stretch is in the upper back, from there pull the bar into the thigh and squeeze the upper back muscles. Hold the tension and release then repeat. An excellent way to activate the upper back muscles and pile on the mass.
