@@JohnCena-pm4dw by your own logic: if he finishes fifth on the deadlift he loses 4 points. If he wins the next two events and Thor is 3rd on each, he gains 4 points. Therefore he wins by 0,5 points. But honestly I don't have Thor in the top 3 on the frame. Too many other faster strongmen. I say "faster" because this year's frame carry is a grip & speed event.

@@adrianpap1374 well it's hard to predict who's gonna finish where in the events these days. Personally I think Thor will be 2nd in the dumbbell press, will win the deadlift, and then anything goes for the frame carry. Kiels deadlift is his weakness and he could well end up even lower than 5th, last year he finished 8th and would have been 9th if Caron hadn't got injured. So its gonna be close either way, for me itll depend on how much Kiels has managed to improve his deadlift

Machines similar to this were used in the late 1800's with horses, these were known as "sweeps". Main use with animals was to get rotary power for certain machines. These are still in use around the world mainly in less developed countries and often mules, donkeys, horses, and oxen are used to power them. It was very unlikely that humans were used to power sweeps like what was depicted in a certain fictional movie.

If you push the wheel of pain for several years, you will eventually look like Conan the Barbarian.

The longer I follow the sport the harder it is to pick just one person to root for. As an American it's been a great run for us with Shaw, Kearny, Martins, Pritchett ect.. And there are so many great characters like Mateusz, Thor, Eddie Hall (I wish he hadn't retired) Shylivkov, The Stoltmans and on and on.
