Yeahhhh... really helps give context to Oleksii gassing out to end this show, he was giving absolute maximum effort constantly and was torching events he shouldn't be elite at. He has had so many incredible over-performances imo.

Tom is a cheat. He and Luke didn’t touch the apparatus to the ground for multiple reps, holding it higher and thus making it easier. Everyone else hit the ground each rep. Poor refereeing and making me believe more and more than they get preferential treatment.

Mitch definitely will improve at this event once he has the chance to properly train vehicle deadlift! Even though he's arguably the strongest deadlifter in this final, he might not have had the event-specific experience to win it this time. You can see that he's pulling vertically up and then trying to hitch, rather than leaning back a bit like Trey Mitchell (or like Mariusz used to!)

@@theworldsstrongestman What does that have to do with making the car deadlift too light? Also, as the gentleman above me noted, 5 out of the 10 finalists completed the ladder and a couple didn't even try to. That's not 'almost nobody'. You also make it heavier and up the time limit and maybe guys like Martins don't go out like its a race because they have to beat a time limit and not a weight and guys like Trey and Shaw don't run out of time with reps still in the tank.
