I never chased my ex. As soon as he suggested we take a step back I said ok. He contacted me 4 days later trying to return something I left in his car. I told him to throw it away. He waited a month and sent me flowers fie mother's day, we don't have children together. Bread crumbs! No contact is also a time for you to reflect if it's a relationship you really want. He showed out on social media with attention seeking behavior. He can have a nice life.

@gejimckinney8062 It's so funny. He recently began contacting me on Social Media, after I ignored him, he texted me HBD, knowing my bday was 2 weeks ago. I wasn't going to respond, but I decided to make it clear. Once again, I want nothing to do him, and he should refrain from contacting me. This man had the audacity to say we both said one thing and did another. Mind you, I have not contacted that man since April. It's been months. He's delusional. Hopefully, he has the closure he needs and understands that I'm not playing hard to get, but I'm done!

I was in a 14 year relationship. She discarded me 5 months ago. She contacted me February 11th and 20th. I did not answer the phone. Her birthday was March 5th. As hard as it was , I did not reach out and wish her happy birthday. She put me through hell when she left the way she did. As my sister said , she was probably pist I didn't answer the phone. She likely expected me to drop everything I was doing and answer her calls. Nope. She really wants no contact? Well , you got it. You will never hear from me again. Hope whatever you left me for was worth losing me for the rest of your life after 14 years. I reached out to her in the beginning a couple times. Not begging and crying for her back but, just simply seeing how she was. She rejected my advances. The last rejection I got was my ticket to never contact her again. Hope you can live with you decision !

So helpful! So on point! It has been 7 months and for the last month he has stayed reaching out. I still cannot believe how on point you are Coach. Honestly. Coach I get peace when I hear you. The man that I was engaging 2 times told me he was going to visit me and never showed up. The next day he calls me as if nothing has happened. Lo and behold last time was last Sunday. He called me on Monday.. I did not answer to his audio as if nothing and multiple video calls. He takes no responsibility for his actions. That coach is very disrespectful to my person and I decided to go no contact. Tons of problems and erratic behavior. I feel as if I am dealing with someone that has some type of mental disorder.

I haven’t spoken to her in 9 weeks and she rebounded I will not hear from her again and now I’m stronger than ever 😊

If they are in a rebound relationship , your absence still will make them think of you. If you continue to chase you will only end up being a gluing factor as you will make the ex more attractive to the rebounds since they feel your ex is such a valuable person still sought after.

What is the general timeline for the various stages; I realize everyone is different and there are a lot of different variables to consider but is there a study that has revealed the time, distance, no contact, etc... and the stages and average times for each stage?

It’s been almost 6 months no contact. Emotional connection fizzled out the last month or two and she split things off saying things along the lines of “we’re too different.” Day after the breakup she stopped responding, I reached out a week later pretty pissed about how abrupt it all was, she stopped responding. Three weeks later I apologized for being pissed and we texted for a while catching up, but she said we shouldn’t talk often but if I need anything she’s always there. I agreed the breakup was for the best and said the same to her, haven’t spoken since September, including holidays and her birthday. Surprised honestly she hasn’t reached out at all, and not sure if I even want to reconcile things at this point. But always have that lingering thought about it in my head Edit: we introduced our best friends who started dating and their relationship has now gone longer than ours, so I don’t know if we’ll ever truly be completely “gone,” but the whole situation has just been strange to me. But I don’t want to reach out after she split and seemed so dead set on it in the month after the breakup

Hey man I wanted to know if it was a chance of me getting back with my ex we were dating for 4 months we’d go out to eat and she’d come over everyday. She got mad at me because I got dropped off by my cousin to her house. I had never been to her house before and her and my cousin got into an argument. I told her I love her but she said the things I do don’t seem like I love her.

I hit up my ex at 2 months NC and she told me after the first month she realized she lost all feelings. Called her again after 2 months since I last called hee and she still feels the same. Loll it’s crazy how the silent treatment works for so many things in life. I’m naturally a quiet person so it’s easy for me. At first I was begging to stay together and calling her every ten mins. She would tell me to stop and we can’t be talking or seeing each other because she has new man. One day i manned up and said F this, I’m never talking to her again. She calls and I tell her “ don’t call my phone, and I hope I never see you again” CLICK. She thinks I’m just mad and calls a few days later. I say uhh why you calling me? Didn’t I tell you to stop? That’s when she got kind of desperate. She calls probably a month later, talking about “I thought we was good.. I didn’t do anything for you to treat me like this. I just want to buy some weed off you anyways. She didn’t want weed, she wanted to see me so i told her to go ask her man or his friends they have weed most likely. She says ok I won’t call you anymore but I can tell she’s about to cry. I told her I’m giving you what you asked for. I’m a literal person, when someone says don’t call me or talk to me. Trust me, you won’t hear from me for the rest of your life. She thought I would get over it and we could be friends like we were before the dating. One of the last times I spoke to her she calls looking for “weed” I said yea I got some Great weed but not for you! I even told her I forgot her name when she asked “you kno who this is?” I said yea but I forget your name.. she says “wow that really hurts”. While she’s still in the phone the other girl I was with at the time keeps asking who is that?! And I know my ex heard her. After that I never spoke to her again. She still calls private ten years later but leaves it on mute. That’s her way of checking if I’m still alive or something. There’s no way in hell I’d ever reach out to her after what she put me through. I got caught talking to other girls but she gets caught sending her baby daddy money and it’s fine lol. I caught her talking to another dude one time and I think it’s the dude she’s dating now. She did exactly what I did but she cuts me off and starts a new relationship. We had a big fight and stopped speaking for months. Finally we start talking and I’m thinking everything is good and we will get back together. Than all of sudden I realize how weird she’s acting and why she doesn’t answer at night time. So she finally says she has someone else and we need to stop everything now. She did it on purpose for revenge. Giving me a false sense of hope and pulling the rug from under my feet. I wasn’t mad about the fact we broke up, it’s how she did it that makes me wants to kill her. You live and you learn!

I'll answer your question as honestly as possible. No. No contact doesn't work for someone that was never in a relationship in the first place. It's even worsened by the fact it was a situationship. I assume you mean fwb. The main problem is, anyone who enters a fwb or situationship only wants one thing. Sex. So the whole no contact thing that will make your "ex" miss you over your good memories and good times doesn't work here because you probably never had good times as one does in a proper relationship. He not initiating a relationship solidifies the point. No guy stays in a situationship with a girl he wants to be with. It's good you walked away, he might text you later on in NC but it'll only be to be in a situationship again. Please trust this. Do NC and move on fully to someone else who wants to actually be with you.
