You’re absolutely correct and I’ve moved on to someone better. The crazy thing is he literally spoke my new beginning into existence for me. I damn near need to call him and thank him. This is all true, but oddly enough, for my ex, “he can do better than me” really means “he needs someone not as good as himself.” This is because he’s a fearful avoidant who prefers a woman who actually IS clingy and needy and chases him. And I’ve NEVER been that woman. Now that he’s slowly starting to come back into my life, and apologize all over the place, I’ve decided that the best policy is to not change myself in any way, still treat him exactly as Coach Blac says…cordial and polite, and taking care of myself and my elderly Mommy. Let him pursue me, not ignoring him at all, and NEVER dredging up whatever past mistakes and harms he’s ever done. He will always see me as “too good for him,” but maybe he can get therapy and also develop a relationship with his Creator that is so vital to any human relationship he will ever have. For me, that right there is the number one prerequisite to me ever getting back together with him. By the way, it’s been well over a YEAR since he broke up with me.

This is very helpful. Can we get a video on letting go of anger though? I've been in no contact for 4 months, but I am still angry over the blindsided breakup and how it was done.

I believe it can also go the other way, where they think they're not good enough for you and they get scared by the pressure of stepping up.

I second this and I feel like that this is what my ex feels after she broke up with me. It was the hardest decision she ever made because we had a healthy relationship and we were both each other's first love. We were together for 6 and a half months. We broke up 2 months ago, and I did no contact, and I will be meeting up with her in person either this week or next week. Going to focus on re-attracting her, having a great time and showing her why I'm still a catch.

when someone really loves u and doesn’t want to lose u forever the one that broke it off should reach out and i agree w u but also strongly believe if they let the fear or “pressure” get in the way then they don’t value the relationship as they should so regardless if u go back it wont be for the best at that point ur better off moving on

Thank you so much mr coach, your videos saved me from critical situations, now I see how I didn't really need her although I miss the little things like kisses and cuddles etc... Even without her I can be better than yesterday and live my life at its fullest. I did too many wrong moves and probably gave her some red flags, but as the first relationship, after also the first real and painful broke up (made through msgs) I feel relieved and I understand the value of no contact as MY benefit, not her.

My girlfriend broke with me 1 month ago. After 12 years together. We spoke the last weekend and she told me that she loves me. I know it's true that she loves me and misses me. But she says that she wants to stick with her decision. I don't know what to do, really. We were both hugging and caressing each other, but neither she has spoken to me nor I to her. Hello Coach, Thank you for videos. They really bring me peace when I’m at my most down. My question is what if my ex Fiancé broke up with me and blocked me on everything a week after, still has me blocked over a month later? She gave random reasons during the break up, then told friends it was because of something early in the relationship that I thought we got over. She refused to talk at all when the breakup happened and till now. Told friends she has a fear about me doing something in the future and that she thinks she doesn’t need closure Again, I really appreciate you and everything you do. 2 yrs after leaving my ex started liking and following my stories over a couple of months,I did not react to it,she increased her likes and following my stories and received nothing from me until months after ,I liked one of her stories after an operation on a massive cyst and left it there no reaching out directly.

Each and every Last one of my exs tried to come back. But I was the worse woman in the world according to them. But they all tried reaching out and begging all 4 of them! I'm like no lord never!

Can you talk about breakups due to a death in the family? Or what grieving does to a realtionship? I'm just not sure if he will ever feel the pain of the break up. Not sure about the assumption being made here that breaking up with someone means you think you can find better. What if it's that life on your own is better than with them? Breaking up with someone because you think you can do better is getting into the the realms of narcissism. You're relating vertically rather than horizontally. It says more about you than them. They've had a lucky escape IMHO.

I think that even if you know you will be spending time single for the foreseeable future, it is still true that if you broke up with someone, you expect you will find a better partner for yourself in the future by breaking that connection. I don't see this as being narcissistic at all. It can come from a place of naivety or maturity, but I see importance in assuming this notion to be true.

What if the reason for leaving wasn't neediness, but being too independent in the relationship?

Serious question, what do you put in your beard?

What does it mean when an ex contacts your mutual friends and tells them I was the best woman he has ever had in his life and he misses and loves me, but won’t contact me directly and tell me these things? I think he wants me to reach out first and I refuse to contact him. He broke up with me and blind-sided me in November right before our Key West vacation and stopped calling and texting. This was not characteristic of him. In the past 3 months, he’s only sent a Christmas Day greeting meme and a news bulletin to my email, but no direct conversation. We were together 2 years.

Me and my Ex been FWB for 3year just five months after the back up.. But she still doesn’t want to get back together.. 🤷🏾‍♂️ But I really don’t care about that anymore.

Hi, Coach, my ex started viewing my stories again about 4 weeks into no contact... She started watching them quicker and quicker then all of the sudden stopped again. What does this mean? Has she lost interest completely?

My Girlfriend of 10 years broke up with me in may. We got back together end of October. She wrote me such a sweet letter about not wanting me to leave and making sure that this time it's for good. She started a new job in december and broke up with me on the 15th of December for this new co-worker guy she just met. I found out they slept together barely 24hrs after the breakup. Now she says she is in love with him and I need to get out. We live together and struggling to find a place to go. All she does is get mad at me for existing now. I dont feel no contact is going to work this time or probably I shouldn't bother after this. I forgot to mention we were planning to get married this summer and start a family. And she may already be pregnant with this guys kid who happens to already have a child with someone else. It's just a crazy situation for me to be in.

You have come to a fork in the road, its time to take your ass up the path of least resistance and let her take the other one. Thats a long time, i've also been a long relationships in my life and i'm here to tell you, it does get better when you prioritize yourself afterwards. Cut your losses, move out, get some therapy in your life, get some hobbies, start cooking like a master chef, etc etc. Anything to distract yourself away from her situation. Go no contact, perhaps even block her on everything if you find yourself looking, remove pictures from your devices and profiles(save them to a thumb drive if you don't want to delete them entirely). It's going to be rough for awhile, but if you prioritize your health, wealth and heart, you will make it to a very happy place. There are millions and millions of people for you, do things that you love and the right person will find you. Don't entertain her if she comes crawling back, be nice and cordial. If you entertain her, you will lose ALL progress made towards a happier you. Run for your life, literally.

But here in northern minnesota at the moment it's hard to get out and do certain things but I'm trying. Definitely wont look back I'm actually looking forward to a new beginning and a better me.

it’s really up to you, don’t set a time frame or limit though. work on yourself, your career , your body , your studies, whatever you can improve on become the best but not for them or to get them back but for yourself so you can send that message out to the universe that you choose YOURSELF not anyone

I was in no contact for 57 days and yes, he contacted me. Before that he wanted to be "friends" and I contacted him several times because of that. He responded cold and distanced. Now he has contacted me five times over the last weeks and I have not responded. After nearly two months of no contact, its his turn to feel the pain

After 3 months of no contact my ex told me the situation she’s in and asked can she move back as friends because she don’t want a relationship. I felt bad but after three weeks of thinking about it and knowing that I want to be with her I said yes.
