What I eat in a day plant based - vegan intermittent fasting for weight maintenance. 50+ woman.

Age 54, I lost 32lbs/14.5kgs by implementing intermittent fasting. Now age 55, here’s what I eat in a day, still intermittent fasting, whole food, plant based.
My eating window is 8am until 2pm. So I eat two meals per day. I fast from 2pm until 8am. I lost the weight in 4 months, and have kept it off for over a year. Intermittent fasting changed my life. Eating plants keeps me feeling full for longer due to all the plant fibre.
I eat lots of protein and have enough energy to complete a strenuous jumprope and kettlebell workout every day, plus mountain biking or paddle boarding.
It’s just a pity it took me so long to find a solution to my life of yo-yo dieting.

They make rum flavoring. But maybe would trigger cravings for real thing? I am sad to read the negative comments. Vegan sure triggers people. Why people think you look old is beyond me. Old looking people have no pep, frown and are full of negative energy in my opinion. Youthful people are energetic, smile a lot and have a positive outlook on life. Wrinkles and grey hair are in both catagories. You definitely have a young-at heart vibe. Haters gonna hate. Ignore them and bask in the positive comments. ❤❤😊😊

I’m all for plant based, but I find it’s very difficult to find vegan alternatives to some of my staples like Greek yogurt and feta cheese that’s not ultra processed with added emulsifiers, thickeners, etc, so at the moment I’m only 90-95 % plant based. The airfried tofu looks delicious - I’ve saved it to try later!

No I don't get hungry. I did for the first 6 weeks, but the hunger pangs disappeared. No, I'm not hungry when I wake up, I'm ready to exercise and have the energy to complete a 25-30 minute workout. My breakfast this day was fresh fruit with silken tofu, very quick and simple. My lunch was as simple as putting the quinoa in the rice cooker, prepping veg, and coating the tofu. I could make this meal within 25 minutes. I only eat two meals per day, so I like making the effort to create wholesome fresh meals.

You are taking in a lot of sugar, though all that fruit is packed with sugar . you can still be slim and unhealthy though sugar is a lot the best way to lose weight it’s just to go two mils a day breakfast is not important it’s actually not the most important meal shouldn’t start eating until midday really or 2 o’clock in the afternoon. Have a cut off at 8 o’clock and then fast for one or two days a week if you’ve got a rest, and then you’ll be more healthy …I’m 50 I just cut out of sugar and lost weight and I walk a lot as well. I mean you look brilliant you look amazing❤ but doesn’t mean you’re healthy inside all that sugar and that fruit it’s not good for your teeth either

Clinical studies and science disagree Virgo. Loading up on fruits and veg are the #1 to heart, gut and brain health. It’s also the path to longevity. Breakfast is also clinically proven to be the most important meal of the day. Maybe read and listen to some Peter Attia for reference. 😊

@@DelusionDispeller This isn't usual for me, (especially for breakfast!) but I've been trying out some recipes from my Brazilian friend. I had a huge bowl of limes and a can of condensed coconut milk so I gave it a go. It would be great with rum as a cocktail, but as I have given up alcohol, thats a no go for me. If you follow along here, you will see that I focus on eating as many plants as I can every day. I'm being completely honest with everything I eat, because my social media pages have always been honest and authentic. The occasional junk food/sugary snack/drink will feature because I'm not perfect. But if I'm eating healthy 95% or more of the time, it's enough for me. @@DelusionDispeller She said this isn’t usual for her. This is an example of how vegans get fat if they free fall back into bad habits. This video is irresponsible thinking for those who are in the midst of a weight loss plan, thinking they can cheat after all that hard work losing the weight only to introduce high fat foods like this if you are a food addict. Remember, food addicts are always looking for a way to justify their addictions to unhealthy food. Most of us who are like this and got fat as vegans, fell into the pleasure trap by indulging daily, sedentary lifestyle, not working out, and not eating heart healthy foods. If these foods finally got her husband to eat more greens, she is not considering her husbands heart health by introducing high levels of fat. This is certainly not a daily diet you should indulge in during weight loss. The words of Dr. Caldwell Esselstyn are ingrained in me. “You can exercise until you are blue in the face, but you are not going to protect yourself from a heart attack if you are eating oil, meat, fish, dairy and sugar.” Eat your greens and do not indulge like this if you are in a weight loss mode. Bok choy, swiss chard, kale, collard greens, beet greens, mustard greens, turnip greens, Napa cabbage, Brussels sprouts, broccoli, cauliflower, cilantro, parsley, spinach, arugula and asparagus.

@@SunnyBoots731 I use sesame oil & coconut oil for Asian dishes. I'm not trying to lose weight - where did I say that? I am maintaining weight. There's no 'cheating' because I'm not on a diet. never will be. I'm just being honest and realistic. I do occasionally eat junk. I'm being open about that. Everyone does, whether it's a cookie, bag of chips, alcohol, can of coke etc. I'm sharing what I eat, not suggesting what you or anyone else should eat. My husband and I both have exceptional health, (blood tests etc confirm that) due to an active lifestyle, working out daily and eating lots of fruit, veg, nuts, seeds and beans. The equivalent of 1 tablespoon of coconut condensed milk once per year is not going to kill me. If anyone tells me they never eat anything with seed oil or sugar, they are not telling the truth. Unless you are a raw vegan home cook who never goes out for meals. Anyway, I hope you enjoyed my video :)
