What I eat in a day 100% plant based. I lost 32lbs intermittent fasting. 50+ vegan woman.
What I eat in a day, vegan, time restricted eating from 8am until 2pm. Two years ago I was 32lbs heavier, I started intermittent fasting and lost my excess weight quickly. I enjoy seeing what other people eat in a day, so here's what I cooked up today.
Today I am sharing my sweet and savoury breakfast, plus a lunch burrito with a FiftySister twist!
Bonus trip to the market.
I thought I'd add a quick trip in to the market, and show you what I bought. I love to see what other people buy at the market. I guess I am just nosey, but it's wonderful to see what's in season all around the world. I go to the market almost every day to see what's on offer. Cherries and figs are incredible at the moment, I will be stuffing my face with fruit for the next few months whilst prices are low and stocks are high.
I like to play around with flavours, using what I have on hand rather than sticking to a recipe. You won't find any authentic recipes on my page, everything is off the cuff, based on my knowledge of flavours.

56 here and started the fasting and healthier eating. A few weeks into it I have no aches and pains, few hot flashes, lots of energy and clarity!! Like I woke up from a foggy depressing dream! I have 30 pounds to lose and will do it. Fasting is very easy, already not missing sugars or processed foods. I do eat organic and non GMO. Love your hair and mostly your beautiful spirit! Thank you

58 and I was 160 June 01 this year and by July 02 I was 149. Changed my food to whole foods organics clean eating 90-95% of my food, walking 30 minutes- an hour or 2 each day. Stopped soda almost completely now , will get there. Low fat or no fat is my goal. I can already feel a difference in my health. A lot more energy, less brain fog and mood swings, anxiety, feel stronger in my step walking, more confident, happy/ good mood, less joint pain, less headaches. It's only been a month. Look forward to what I'm going to feel like in 6 months or a year. I will not go back. I felt sick, not well, not myself. I have a handful of like minded KZreadrs I follow who are healthy, thriving and inspiring to me. Food actually tastes delicious and I look forward to eating it. My body is getting living food and it loves it and it shows me that by how I feel and operate. It took me years to get to this mind set of our bodies were made to heal, be healthy strong and thrive. I want that now, I am ready. I have the "stickwithitness" to not be tempted when friends or family bring foods I once craved and benged on, I pass firmly and I don't feel deprived of anything. I will not allow anyone to trip me up. With God's help I will continue successfully in getting to a healthy me. Hope this encourages someone as many have encouraged me this month. Please continue to make these encouraging videos!
I noticed many people saying YOU can do it bc you live in a warm climate! Pleeeze people! Stop with EXCUSES! You can do it just like her if...if you REALLY want too! Thats the key! How bad do you want it! Good luck
If you want to keep your avocados from turning, once they ripen. Keep them in a jar of water in the fridge. The water keeps them from oxygen which turns them brown.

I follow you on Insta and just came across you here - can I say as a fit, healthy very active 61yo (and 12 year vegan) how REFRESHING it is to see an “influencer” actually eating an amount that doesn’t make me think “I’d be hungry again in an hour” 🤭😂 Good on ya sista! That’s a super healthy, nourishing and satiating approach to plant based eating. 💪👌💪

Thank you. You can do it! Make exercise part of your daily routine and make sure its something fun. Eat lots of veg, fruit, nuts, seeds and beans.

I'm guessing the tamoxifen is from bc cancer? I just survived 1.5 years of hell myself! I take ip6 instead its a supplement that encourages your immune system to work properly and helps balance hormones . I refused anymore RX drugs!

This has inspired me to start again investing in my health , three months ago I went vegan but still miss cheese , it is very expensive here to buy vegan cheese in South. Africa... I do use n.yeast a lot and make my own cream cheese , but still need the milk to make it.

@@elsaboyd6063I love to make a homemade cheese sauce I pour on everything like the one from Sweet Simple Vegan or Plantiful Kiki. They use veggies, cashews and nutritional yeast.
I'm gluten free and trying to cut out dairy (as its cancer causing) as well as sugar. Chocolate and biscuits are my downfall! Argh! I don't add sugar to anything and now follow the glucose goddess method so I eat my food in the right order to stop the insulin spikes! She recommends a savoury breakfast and yours looked really good! She'd advise having the toast last so it doesn't cause a spike. I often have avocado and scrambled eggs in the mornings with chilli flakes over the avocado. I might introduce a fruit dish afterwards too. Great idea! I'm mostly plant based, but I do like eggs, I'd find them hard to give up. I followed your kettle bell and skipping work out today. There aren't many people who inspire me, but you do. Thank you so much for sharing your life journey with us and your honest account of why you do it. Love your channel! I'm 55 and live in Scotland. I am in the US and I didn't know what aubergine was but googled it and it is eggplant which is the familiar term here. I love your channel and your accent. I don't eat meat so always interested in plant based recipes. I stopped eating meat when I was 5 (I am 72 now). I was raised next to a dairy and loved to see and play with the cows so decided then and there not to eat them (or any other animal).

Eggplant is a nightshade, can cause many problems. Plants don't want to be eaten.
I love how you can buy all those fruits and vegetables WITHOUT them being in PLASTIC!!

You should be able too as well .I live in Canada ,all grocery stores have a produce section,with un packaged produce. U can choose to bag or not when u pick what u want to buy

As a vegan, your dishes look scrumptious to me! I also eat hummus/avocado toast and rather than the sesame seeds, I sprinkle on hemp seeds and also add a pinch of cayenne. 🌱🌎🙏🏽❤️

OMG - you are totally blowing my mind today. I just stumbled upon your channel. I just can't believe the crazy sauces you throw together. Insane. How ever do you come up with those ideas - throw this and that together and come up with a delicious sauce. Incredible. Love your channel. Checked you out - found out you live in Portugal. An avocados life can be extended in the fridge ONCE it has ripened, not before. Same with bananas; get it to the ripened stage of your choosing, then off to the fridge.
So enjoying all your videos. Just found you a few days ago and am so inspired. Went plant based two years ago but didn’t incorporate weights or exercise much and really like your exercise routine videos. Great inspiration. You are a beautiful person. Thank you for sharing.

That's what I did. Check out Plantiful Kiki channel for more inspiration. She helped me get healthier.
I grow and propogate my basil to throw in salads, make pesto, caprese salads (with tofu instead of mozzarella). It is so easy to propogate and Im sure you have a sunny spot for a plant pot. :) I also love that you don't bother rinsing the blender. We all need to conserve water these days.
I also have been doing intermitten fasting for years,but i have never lost weight(i only eat twice a day I think its also all about what you eat in 8 hours . Love your videos and your advices and yozr self confidence.

I am enjoying your encouraging content. I notice you live in a warm climate. In my thinking, that alone encourages outdoor activity and decreases stress in general. I live in an area with 5 months of winter. It is much harder to shop, work and exercise without access to fresh produce and safe outdoor space. If, I learned anything from watching you, it is that I can't live a full and active life in a cold climate. Thanks.

Hi Gail ... Is the produce you buy at the market organic ? ... Or loaded with pesticides,? Id love to move to Spain and eat more fresh veg ... But worry about the use of pesticides and medical insurance?

Did you exercise too, and stop eating processed or sugary foods? That seems to be the key to anyone losing weight and getting healthy no matter your diet.
