What a year of cm measurements looks like - -3.75/-2.75 - Endmyopia 19 [Day 554]

Vision Log Tool: wiki.endmyopia.org/wiki/Varak...
Once upon a time, at 24cm I'd be performing a little shimmy back and forth to see if my right eye was on the edge of blur or not. Now... I do the same thing at 27cm. 24cm? Eaaaaasy to see. I'm gonna be 20/20 one day suckaaaaaas

    Hi Nott, I like your efforts. You are like me ... when I started. Then I looked into the "brain", of an OD, and found out that they are totally screwed up. That is the reason you went down to -5 Diopters.

  • @otiebrown9999
    @otiebrown99993 жыл бұрын

    Hi NottNott, A great report. Jake is accurate - to expect a change of +0.75 Diopters per year. I encourage people to do this. As you begin getting close to -1.5 Diopters, I will always recommend reading your Snellen, with the goal of passing your Driver License Test. This avoids arguments about your final, objective success. I admire your persistence!

    Cool video thanks for sharing. I know when you reduce too quickly you may not see good results but is it true you will still see some results? I’ve heard stories of people just completely dropping their glasses and eventually ending up with perfect vision.

    You can do that, and you could get back to perfect vision. But doing that will be completely in spite of those actions, and it makes everything 100x harder.

    that chart seems very encouraging; I bookmarked the end myopia link to measure real diopters and I have an opinion I'd like to ask you. Optometrist gave me -5 which actually I can only use for night driving bc it gives me headache. normally I use -4.50 which sometimes gives me a lil bit of blur but it's tolerable. Last night I watched a movie and the blurry was a bit more so I put the -5 and I saw clearly but after a few I felt headache and I turned to -4.50 . I dunno if am I doing something wrong? what do you think? ps sorry for the VERY long comment. PPS #TeamCorruptiveGuysAgainstOptometrists 😝

    Yeah, you should get started with EM stuff and reducing those diopters. Don't wear anything that gives you a headache, -5 might be overprescription from the optometrist. Get going with normalised and differentials for close-up work. Seriously I wouldn't wear those -5s.
