My Biggest Vision Improvement Mistakes

If you want the summary with none of the depth, go to 20:08. Discord: / discord
Don't get blur adaptation, don't reduce too quickly and ensure your first pair of normalised are a good prescription and not too low. Make sure you take the time to actually find active focus, the effect should be controllable at will, not a slot machine. You must measure your cms, otherwise you will not be able to see where you go wrong if you do go wrong. Watching your cms increase gradually over time is a new world of fun you haven't been experienced to yet. Finally, get plenty of distance vision with appopriate normalised.
Correct Normalised + Active Focus + Distance Vision = Gains, it's really that simple :P

    got a quick question, I figure i have blur adaptation since i've gone a few years with no glasses while being in some degree of blur and am now at -0.75 -2.25 at fifteen y.o.. I want to find active focus and I gotta get rid of my ciliary spasm first, but it's not working and my eyes are strained every day even with wearing normalized and distance vision. What else should I try to get rid of it? and which of these issues should I address first? Thanks in advance

    When I was finding active focus, it took 30 cumulative hours of staring at price tags in my work place before I found it. My eyes teared up, they felt stressed, it was hard. I did all sorts of weird things to find it. Once I found it though, I stopped tearing up fairly quickly. It's part of the learning curve I think, once you've found it this won't happen any more. Sucks, but it'll be ok long term. Good luck with your journey :)

    Hello :) I'm confused about blur adaptation. Why is it a bad thing? And even if it is, how do you even measure your real eyesight when blur adaptation has already occured? You can't toggle it on and off, can you? Besides, what I care about is seeing better, thus what is the difference between lower diopters and blur adaptation? Both are improving my vision, and both the eyes and the rest of the brain have to do the job.

  • @Mathilde_Moksha_333

  • @NottNott

    @NottNott

    Жыл бұрын

    Blur adaptation is your brain getting used to the blur and making the best of it instead of your eyes being stimulated to actually get smaller, so you're not really improving. You'll find as you go onto reduce more that blur adaptation 'improvements' aren't really improvements. Just measure your eyesight as it is even with blur adaptation, it's the best you can do. What you have described doesn't sound like active focus, you don't need to touch your eyes at all or squint, the most is a light blink. Good luck :)

    This was so helpful, thank you! I have a question: I am 99% sure I have had active focus. I go on walks every day and I have been able to COMPLETELY clear up a street sign with out any glasses on for like 10 seconds, and then it goes back to quite blurry. I don't squint or anything like that, the way I do it is just close my eyes for a few seconds, and then open them and stare at the sign with relaxed eyes and then it clears up. Is this active focus? I'm only skeptical because I can't always do it on command, and it happens with no glasses on.

    For the purpose of improving your vision, if your correction is above -1.50 then I wouldn't recommend wearing no glasses when doing AF in this way. I think what you've said is a sign of a clear flash, and it has been mentioned by other people.

    Was trying to combine EndMyopia and Mark Warren (peripheral vision) but now I'm lost. Just make more videos on active focus, no one seem to know how to achieve it, you get me lost when you talk about something that make no sense. No one has time to go to forums or Facebook group and read thousands of post to learn about active focus. I don't even have time to brush my teeth, let alone spend hundreds of hours reading to learn about active focus. Most of us want quick solutions, maybe a five minutes video to explain it. 8:00 OD measurements, always have very poor accuracy. Please use your own Snellen. Using your "reduced minus", lens, will tell you, objectively, if you are improving. Repeated Snellen (average over a week), is the only accurate system possible. I use my own test lenses for exactly that reason. If I say that I measure 20/20, (over several days) you can believe me or not. NottNott, I hope you reach naked eye 20/60, both eyes open, and report it that way! I will believe you. OD, is nor required at all.

Have you seen any success stories of anyone getting back to 20/20 after 10 years of Jakes ' selling of his gimmick? I don't mean 'improved' a little(removed a degree of overcorrection) but actually got back to 20/20? I think you should consider that very seriously.

    Once upon a time -4.50/-3.50 was blurry, I had to use a pair hgher than that. Three weeks ago I put on -4.25/-3.25 and from the same point in my room it was blurry looking to the outside world but I could make out text a little bit. Now that pair is crystal clear and doesn't challenge my eyes at all, I need a reduced pair. If you keep watching this channel I'm going to post a vision test result at some point confirming Improvement, but you'll probably think that's faked and I've been paid off too. Haven't paid Jake a penny this whole time. Enjoy your myopia.

    What I don’t like about you and Jake (plz don’t take any offense it’s just my personal opinion) as you both guys explain AF in a very vague way like it’s a fking secret. I guess I’ll explain it like Yoga for your Eyes author Rob Schneider said: „if you look at a text you look at it as if you were writing each letter with your eyes, if you look far away find 5 points to looks at and then switch half the distance and look at 5 points , finally look at 5 point around you and then look at the text you will see much better since your eyes are rested“ so I guess AF(active focus) is to keep on moving your eyes basically
