Still remember my first impressions about Jake, when I first time found out about EM: guy and all of his freely available content looked like advertisement of scam: very vague descriptions, intentionally overcomplicated statements, and everything leads to paywall. Only community made, independent content like yours and from other people, convinced me that method is real, and not a scam. So thank you and other members of community for your patience and job, you really make a difference and helping people. Every time when someone asks me why am I using several glasses, I am sending links to your videos and community resources, not to the Jake’s paywalled EM.

yep that was my experience too. I got excited when I ran into Jake's website, but 5 minutes into exploring the website I was convinced it was a scam. But thanks to guys like this and a bit more research online, I realized it might actually work and decided to try it. The reality is that this method is extremely simple and does not require paid mentorship. And Jake knows this but he's trying to milk this "technique" to make as much money as possible.

bro you are the real deal, I had no idea that Jake had started charging for the Wiki. To be honest I would pay the $40, its not a huge deal, but the fact that so many people in the future will miss out on potentially improving eyesight is very disheartening. Props to you for making a secondary site and feel free to add a "donate" button somewhere in the site since Im sure maintaining that thing will not be fun.

Thanks for making all the information regarding the drama - freely - available to everyone. Feels extremely bad that things had to end up this way. The "golden era" seems to be gone for good, newcomers will have a lot more complications to learn from now on. Jake will put all his heart and soul into hiding Based Vision and others. No more sharing EM with friends from my part I guess. Jake is shooting himself in the foot. Thanks for caring so much for the community, you're the real hero here! Edit: I found extremely disgusting from Jake to start saying that hadn't it been from him and you'd have over 5 diopters. Does that make you his dog or how does that go?

Knott, My Opinion: Jake's Greed, is thr same as OD Greed! But with respect. Optometrists, control "the Narrative". That is my major objection, to Optometry - to protect their business, and income. Now Jake, by closing down Wikki, is doing exactly the same thing, for exactly the same reason. I fight for technical honesty. That is no longer Optometry or Jake.

G. Hayes he formed his own international license for the book for better propagation of the concept for the collective good. Anyways, do not lose hope we are there to support you always. Jake could've taken a number of different options with monetization. Instead of monetizing content, he could've written a book, created merch, sold the things that would help you on your journey using Endmyopia as the lead funnel. Shame, but I did see it in him. I've grown up with a lot of personalities around me so I read people very well.

Trying to understand the monetization issue. How much does it cost to create and maintain a community forum platform? Been in Le Meow since 2018. I imagine there is a cost but have never been asked to pay anything to subsidize. Maybe Jake is now trying to recoup some of his costs for the past 6 years. I still appreciate his efforts for providing a platform for myopics. I have to agree with another comment that if the issue was brought to the open form for all members to discuss instead of this one-on-one texting battle, maybe another resolution could have been voted on by the community. Something reached his boiling point but maybe in a community thread it would have been a different outcome

Since many visual problems come with body posture issues, you and all myopes should check for high acidity, blood, stomach and lungs. Generally lemon with warm water helps also bicabornate should helps. Many myopes grow up with a smoker parent (not necessarily your case), they used to hold their breathing and It shifts the acidity chemistry. Anxiety caused by some trauma event, school, bad parenting, siblings, and so on. It also alter acidity chemsitry in the body. And it gets chronic. I remember a guy on college who worn glasses and always compliained about gastritis. You see, when our body is feeling tired, lack of energy, or even in slightly pain, we always feel even if we think we are not noticing the pain.

Also the way he sh*ts on bates method. Plus the way he describes the methods it felt like he wasn't giving all information. His followers also felt very cult-ish. Idk how to explain. Hey bro, check for muscle inbalances in your body. Your bite also counts. But for most people problem, the pelvis has a HUGE connection to your head and eyes. Maybe you had a trauma on foot/knee/pelvis/lung/wisdom tooth that presents you to fully relax that side of your body. For this time, remove your glasses and lying down on the floor, belly up, just relax on the floor. It will remove tension from muscles, cause when you get to the floor your bones/skeleton supports your weight. Do this one time per day. I hope you will progress faster. You deserve the best!

There is a simple exercise, no, it wont fix everything instantly, but it could help a little bit. Take your phone and open the camera app. Now try to correct your posture, in another words move your belly button more forward, this will stretch a little bit your legs. Feel your pelvis engaging, as your counscious goes to that region. Now bring the phone close your face. Give a Max zoom in (4x, 8x, 12x whatever) and now walk slowly and keep the image stable the more your can. You can close one eye and try to stabilize that part of the body, do this for each eye. After this simple exercise, you can feel some difference in your proprioception (body perception). Sometimes the right foot is super ahead of the whole body, sometimes your right arm is tensioned, sometimes your shoulder, you know, eyes and body react to how we make our image of ourselves. We use undercorrection as a guide to know how to keep the body in a good form to notice more than a single point.

As an entrepreneur myself, I can understand creating a system with unique terminology and a recommended step by step process to train others to implement to naturally improve eyesight. Looking at the newbie questions, it's not easy. Jake decides to punch out free videos, share on Facebook, create a community platform and welcomed myopics to share information, and finally gives approval to share on Wiki. For an entrepreneur who charges a fee for this system with one on one instruction, and sees the entire system now available on Wiki for free, anyone might consider this proprietary information. Contributions contributed voluntarily with Jake's approval. Definitely can see both sides. Jake's quirkiness and sensitive nature may rub people the wrong way. The meltdown and this video are unfortunate. Seems his biggest error is he over-shared but wouldn't exactly say that he's dishonest.

Thanks for this insight. I started 7 years ago with endmyopia. Because I was so excited about my improvement I offered Jake to translate the free E-Mail course to German. Good luck that I never finished it. Meanwhile I became a natural vision teacher by myself. Of course I have to make a living out of it, but I also give a lot of free content and teach people also for free. Since 2019 at the international conference of natural eyesight we build a vibrant community of visionteachers around the world. I invited Jake but he refused to join. 🤷 The reason was I wanted to give something back to him. Thanks to your Video I now understand why he refuses.

Seems his biggest error is he over-shared.

The community forum is not an easy endeavor nor cheap for one person and the community members have made it thrive free of charge. Perhaps if he's made a poor decision, the community can agree he made a poor decision and give him time and space to fix it. Jake is always asking for feedback. His constant self-deprecating comments seem to indicate he's aware he's not perfect and will make poor decisions. Hopefully the community can forgive, repair, and move forward. Im late here but come on, stop the bashing on both sides. Ok maybe Jake should have made it more clearly that everything whats connected to the name Endmyopia belongs to him and he can do with it anything he wants. So there is not much space for free content to contribute. Jake has his own character like we all have and he is the type of rebel, who does what he wants with his business. Sorry that the wiki became the warplace about free or not. I just hope you all cool down and keep the knowledge spreading. Btw there is also an "unrestricted endmyopia facebook group" or something on facebook. Alternatives are probably also not bad. Anyway I understand that Endmyopia is the work of Jake and he put in a lot of time there and of course with all the work comes TRUST IN HIM. since vision improving is difficult you must have trust in somebody to believe it and try it until it works. So Jake did a great job and a lot effort for that. Better than anybody else. So dont be mad, if he tries to optimize his income. If you want to help people for free, you can try, but it is not easy even to get the trust. So I guess it is very hard to get attention for free stuff without doing much work for the trust. And doing much work makes you not want to make it free. Anyway dont get separated. We all found each other because of Endmyopia and let the business world go its own ways.

I was lucky and discovered a wise OD who helped his kids own go from 20/60, to 20/20. From -1 D to +0.5 D. That is rare. But that is what I am doing right now. I do not need all these "fights" that people get into.

If the reason really only did come down to legal trouble he would have negotiated with you to take down your newly copied wiki, since that would have the same type of liability as the original wiki. But he didn’t, instead he just threatened you with legal action. That’s how you know that when it comes down to it a lot of it has to do with Jake just wanting to monetize the wiki. I do, however, think you jumped the gun a bit, 3 days is a little quick to put a resource online that Jake distinctly said was a legal liability for him. I know you didn’t have trust in him but at least a week or two wouldve been more ample time to scope the situation out. And since you have that license you can technically copy the wiki whenever you want, right? Also Jake really needs to understand there’s better ways to make money than a wiki that gives just the outline of Endmyopia, and actually having just one or two free resources like jakes blog and a basic wiki will actually help advertise Endmyopia and funnel newcomers over to the paid content. I would have never signed up for anything if it wasn’t for all the free content.

Entirely possible his legal trouble is the prior agreement to the creative commons license. He may have trouble disentangling from that given the creative commons license makes it very hard to legally claim ownership and stop sharing.
