He wasnt gonna record it and defo not gonna do it live but Blake Shelton told him he had to and kicked off an internet campaign supporting the song. Do the Live version at the Grand Ole Opry its very good!

At 58, I'm still a big smoosh. Lost mom and brother last year and I still miss my dad. Songs like this make me miss them more. Moving back to Mississippi, next year. My dog is getting old and I want to bury her on my land, when she goes. Update: I bought 18 acres. We've got cows and sheep, 2 dogs and my wife's horse. My wife planted different fruit trees. We're fencing off a big garden to keep the cows out. It's hard work, but we love it.

And his song "Live like you were dying" he wrote about his dad whom he was estranged from and after many years they reunited and his dad was diagnosed with cancer. It's an awesome song. This song makes me think about my son. His three kids always ask me about him. I tell them stories about their daddy. He was killed in Afghanistan by an IED three weeks after I retired and came home. Great reaction guys love y'all.

Okay, who is cutting onions? I love when you react to songs I love, and you love them. I am not a country music guy, but maybe I should be. This is the second country song you've reacted to that I've really liked. Justin Moore has a new fan. That song, wow, just wow!

This songs makes me think of my grandfathers, they both died in 95 when I was two just months from each other both from different cancers. All I have are stories I’ve been told,my dads dad was in the Marines for 37 years,a helicopter pilot in Vietnam,he took three tours in Vietnam. My other grandfather was a brown belt in both karate and Judo and was in the Air Force for a few years.

We have to embrace the legacy and remember that we're creating our own. You live as long as people remember you. Sharing and remembering the beauty in the people that have passed in your life while sitting around the dinner table or listening to some music or reading a story we're looking up at the sky it's not mean you're living in the past.
