Thank you very much. Useful, functional review & usage/operation review- greatly appreciated. You seem to trust it within the limited testing performed, but- changing the oil, spark plug access, float bowl drain (Really happy to learn that!)- now, I'll buy it on sale along with a magnetic oil plug, an hour meter and create a run/stop sheet for my wife (which I'll zip tie to the handle) so even she can use it when I'm not around. Best functional review of any generator I've seen to date, by the way. Only the information we need, no silly unboxing....

Thank you so much! Yes I have already done all of that and found it so time-consuming. 😆 It was exactly how I wanted to make the review, straight to the point.😉

The fuel capacity according to the manual is 1.06 gallons, not 1.6 as stated in the video. I just got mine today and it's great. Very quiet compared to most larger generators and just a whisper in eco mode. I ordered the magnetic dipstick and an hour meter.

Do you get a small puff of smoke when the generator is on eco mode idling.. Then it revs up when there is a load on it an the rpms increase! Just curious if that is normal! The puff of smoke only last a second and goes right away. Just happens when it rpms up under load. Thanks. My oil level is perfect!

No I don't get that. If its just a puff of smoke, I wouldn't worry about it to much. It's just burning off a bit of oil coming through the o rings on the piston or leaking through the valve stem seal up on top of the engine. As long as the smoke is not long and consistent and your oil is not burning off to fast, you'll just have to live with it unfortunately but it won't hurt your motor. Just puffs smoke.

Or your piston rings breaks are lined up and is allowing a tad of oil seepage into the chamber... Nothing you can really do about that either. It won't hurt as long as it's not too much.

What page of instruction manual says 1hr break-in time?

Just like any brand new machine, there's always a break in time. You will have the wear and tear of the piston rings on the cylinder walls. Microscopic shavings of metal are going to flow freely through the oil. Not to mention the bearings on the crank shaft and piston rod as well as the valves. All of it is metal on metal when the engine is running for the first time especially when you put a "load" on it. That means more "torque" will happen internally to the engine, thus probably shaving off more very small metal shavings. You want to change that oil 🛢 after the initial break in period of the brand new engine running for the first time. Flush out any metal shavings and start with new oil 🛢. This will help for the longevity of your generator.

mine stopped running after 6 months had no compression was checking it out and found that the air tube from filter box to carb on back side never put in filter box all the way so it was sucking dirt for six months in Quartzsite Az and just ate up the cylinder never again will i spend that kind of money on bad workmanship

Hey Alex, I'm not sure it's probably the standard one year warranty. I got it for hurricane season so in about 5 years time I'll probably have about 20 hours on it. Not much at all. For me it will be way past the warranty.

Thank you I have a question how come your video is like really long like up-and-down ways how did you get it to do that but anyways sorry I just wanted to thank you I've been trying to baby this generator I have the same exact one I bought it a couple years ago for my cotton candy business and my church boyfriend never really was helpful with it while with anything and I just finally left him he's like a textbook narcissistic gaslighting chode and he basically purposely didn't tell me a bunch of stuff so I'm kind of camping in my car so I can find an apartment here in Seattle or save money for an RV as what I really want to do but the stuff you told me probably save my generator without going into too much detail the only thing is I didn't understand what you were saying about this dipstick so I bought the metal thingy and yeah that's a good idea to get that timer thing I will listen to the video again and try to find it but on the dipstick how far should it go up it's just a bunch of lines I don't see like a part that says full

I hope there's not a bunch of crazy typos in there I'm using my microphone and just trying to make sure I'm using this right one thing I have to say this kind of weird is I have a really new phone that usually only takes like 20 minutes to charge on a landline and it literally takes 4 hours to charge plugged into the USB ports on this thing does that seem weird to you? Anyhow I don't know if you're even paying attention to this video you posted any more sometimes people post stuff and if it was years ago they're not even active on KZread anymore if I see that you're active on here I would love to actually call you and ask you some questions and I would be happy to compensate you I can send you some organic cotton candy or something some kettle corn- salmon jerky!? 😁

Hi, about the video, I just used my LG cell phone to make the video and do not know why it did that format. As for the oil dip stick, you may have a couple of lines or dots on them. The fill mark should be in between them. Another good way to know when your generator is full of oil is when you put the new oil in the generator, make sure it is level and when you see oil come to the bottom of the threads for the oil dip stick, that is full. Not overflowing.

Don't tip over the generator to empty the fuel tank, not when it is full of oil! Break in oil should not be synthetic! Or it won't break in.

Considering I mentioned that if you were to do this, to turn the generator over just for a few moments, In order to get the one gallon of gasoline out of the tank, could you elaborate in detail, internally within the engine, what damage could be done?
