*I was able to use the stop to cut my pieces all the same **MyBest.Tools** Only let the blade come to a complete stop before lifting it back up otherwise it might 'catch' the work and inadvertently move the stop. Used a second clamp for holding.*
This is exactly what I bought a while back for around the same price. This was such a useful video. Thank you!

Thanks for the Intro for this miter. Really helped.
Great tutorial…. Can’t wait to get started on my next project!
It’s 2023 and I just bought this for some renos around the house. Good video
Thank you for this! It helped me repack mine for moving! 😅
Nice video I just purchased one myself and it help me. I'm trying to take off my blades for another blade. It would have been nice if you did that
Wow watching this video 3 years later..... the SAME MONTH YOU DID YOUR REVIEW 🤣🤣🤣
Magnificent review... 👑 👑 👑
i think the led light is supposed to be better than the laser because the light shows the kerf of the blade as well so you can know what you’re losing from your lumber. i *think the higher end like makita miter saws are evening going away from lasers? i think
Nice video, I’m on the market for a no sliding 10” compound miter saw. Ryobi being a budget brand I was worried about accuracy, which is why I didn’t get a sliding one. More moving cheap parts isn’t a good recipe for accuracy.
Thank you!!!
I ordered this also, but I initially thought it was a slider. So, I will just work with this and be happy with it for about a year. By that time, I should know better what features I really need vs what I think I need ( I want).

We totally understand that! We hope it works well for you over this next year!
It's weird that the Ryobi 7 inch has laser guide cut-line indicator, but when you up grade to the 10 inch blade you don't have a laser guide. That threw me off, cuz I liked the light compact size of this Miter saw in comparison to the other Ryobi 12'' or DeWalt etc. they're so huge and takes lot's of space. But thanks for your video "thumbs up!"
Great video! Thank you!

I was going to build a miter saw table--seemed too cost prohibitive. Next, day after ordering saw, I ordered the RYOBI miter saw stand--expecting it today--looking forward. By the way, I believe you will need at least 3/8" Hex bolts --you will need to measure the thickness of the saw base, plus the material you are attaching to--I was going to go with 3/4" plywood--using flat washer, locknut and nuts. Good luck! Great video!
Now i finally made mi mind , im going tomorrow to home depot and buy it, THANKS

For what it's worth, a miter saw is not nearly as dangerous as a table saw. BTW, you're supposed to fasten the saw to the table :D

@@justinandjessdesigns I bought a table saw, left it in the box for 2 days while reading safety manuals and watching safety videos, then I decided this is not for me and returned it back, replacing it with the model from your video lol
I'm thinking of getting one of these. I use a plastic miter box and EVERY time I cut into the box because I can't cut a straight line even with the box. I have a lot of DIY projects with wood such as my custom dog create, computer platform and slide out bed, etc. However I'm terrified I'll injure myself just because it can happen so quickly with how fast it spins. But I did buy a handheld jigsaw, so... Sorry if I'm the millionth person to tell you this, and I'm not trying to troll... It's Ree Oh Bee. I used to work at a video studio that made commercials, and Ryobi was one of their clients.

I understand completely on the hesitation, I do my best to keep my hands as far away as possible. I get nervous about our table saw too And yes haha it’s definitely reeeeeobi, I think I’ve gotten so accustomed to saying it the other way now lol
Thanks for the video. Question. What’s the cut capacity for the saw. I need to cross cut stock thats 5.5” wide (3/4” thick) will this work?

The LED is actually way better than a laser. I just upgraded my DeWalt to the LED. It's way more accurate. Good video!

Any idea what the name of the song is? Or the band? Thanks.
It looks like the clamp is 8 inches from the cut point. This means you can't cut anything less than 8 inches long because it couldn't be clamped to the table. Can this saw cut small pieces?
@justinandjessdesigns
2 жыл бұрын
That's right and yes it can cut smaller pieces. Just a matter of securing the piece. So far I've not had to cut anything so short that I wouldn't want my hands near the blade. However, I did make a miter fence that fits this saw so that, let's say I have a piece that is 3 inches and I need another inch taken off, I could use some double-sided tape and secure it to the miter fence. That way I'm not touching it, and I don't need the clamp. Hope this helps!
Just bought one for doing trim work, the small one was 119 bucks an this one was 139 , that was an easy call an there 7 1\4 inch one looks like it's for a child 😂, everyone should have one of these ,we'll most people with common sense not to get injured.

Does anyone know what the carbon brushes for these are? Can’t seem to find the,.

They are for the motor--READ the MANUAL!
You can substitute the blade for a Diablo-the difference is huge. The more teeth, the better and finer the cut will be.
for DIY homeowners I think this is a good enough miter saw don't really buy those top brand high price
