On point, as always. Never stop posting. I'm staying with The Reaper. And if he's gonna' close it up, he's gotta' make it a GRIND! I came up on Boxing. My pops always said: Don't follow the eyes; put your focus right in their chest (the sternum) The chin moves too fast, the hands are always moving, but that body is right in front of you. Hit it!!!!! The Diaz bros, in my opinion, are the best at this, in MMA! After the time kills you, and your exhausted, then you can follow the eyes. Adesanya is the better suited for the champ status with the way he dominates his competition though. Whittaker is good, but he finds himself in danger in many fights. I want to see legacies like anderson, dj, jon, gsp in new fighters, cuz we didn't see a new dominant champ like those in some time. Usman is on his way, but like Adesanya aren't there yet. Everyone talks about retiring and nobody wants legacy anymore.

Well Whittaker has to use wrestling because Adesanya is just that much the better striker than he is. Whittaker has to be the Mixed Martial Artist in there, Adesanya has too big an advantage over him in the striking especially with the height and reach advantage.

Key point for Rob to get the take down is to do it off Izzy trying to counter Rob's blitz or attack. Even Jan couldn't take Izzy down just straight up loff a shot. His successful attempts were layered first with a punch to bait the lean-back check hook Izzy goes for often.

I think the same outcome in the main event. I believe whittaker will be more cautious during the 1st thru 3rd rnds. Being more cautious means he is at Adesanya's distance. Down 3 rnds, I think, because of this, "Knuckles" comes out more aggressive and desperate in rd. 4. I think he get's caught coming in, and that's what Izzy will be waiting for. You make a great point re: body work for knuckles, but that has to start early. What I picked up from your comment is, when a fighter stands straight-up and leaning back guarding for head shots, the body is exposed. When a fighter is stretched, body shots can be far more damaging. For the challenger, hvy lg kicks would work also, but with caution. I think Israel will dominate, and do a number on Bobbies face. The only think worrisome for Izzy are those "bored comments and his desire to move up to 205 after this one. He needs to stay focused.

Rob landed the cleaner punches throughout the fight he was more precise with his jabs snapping Izzy’s head back multiple times, got takedowns and also attempted a rear naked choke when he had Izzy’s back. They both definitely could’ve done more but in the end I feel like Rob fought better overall imo.

Robert Whittaker has to make this fight dirty by closing the distance fast but real cautiously and mix up some grappling/wrestling with his striking that should be directed towards the body and legs to maximize his chances of getting the win in this rematch; but if Whittaker fights pretty much just like the first time, Izzy's going to pick him apart and eventually finish him again. I feel like Izzy will still manage to get the win, though, by way of judges' decision, but Whittaker will most likely put up a better fight and make this rematch much more competitive than the first fight.
