I think Joe just does too many different things... That being said he's arguably drawn in more people to MMA than anyone else and is a bigger name than most fighters, so they'll never get rid of him. Joe will be 90 years old and calling fights like Larry Merchant.

I think most of them show a good amount of annoying biases because they're friends with a lot of these active fighters. I love Dom, DC, Bisping (sorta), and even Rogan (to an extent), but they treat commentary a lot like experienced MMA veterans enjoying a beer together who also may or may not have bet on the fights on the side, rather than a professional setting.

Good video, I’ve enjoyed it. As a Pole I know how Jan is treated by the UFC. But I must say it’s not just by Joe Rogan. Daniel Cormier was definitely the most disrespectful towards Jan, making Jan even openly saying he thinks DC is phony. Dana White is questioning his wins and after the Magomed fight he is pretending as it was the worst fight ever (it wasn’t the best but his reaction was worse than after the legendary Lewis vs nganou fight). I also think Joe’s reactions now after the fights mustn’t be necessary fake. He is less analytical now and perhaps more emotional. He also could be enhanced :) to be more emotional.

Not that I blame him, he's got his own shit going on, but it's just rly annoying to hear him dickride his favorite fighters at full volume during the PPV. The thing with the EPO with jones is that there's a huge (if not all) part of the UFC roster on EPOs as well. If you think Usman at 34+ was competing all natty after 20+ years of being an athlete, you're very, very naive. Plus the adjustment USADA did on the rule set for doping this very Year, puts Jones' old test below the new permitted limit as it was discovered that the previous minimum limit was effectless.

Dude literally picked out every one of his mistakes and said he sucks overall, lost all my respect. An announcers job isnt easy, same as a referee. Its a real time job. Herb Dean has some bad stops but overall hes extremly valuable and consistent, just like Joe. The thing is, Joe is the ufcs best announcer so they have him call the fight 99 times out of 100. Ofc hell have some off moments. Nobody can take his spot or else the fight just isnt the same. He'll go down in history as one of the greatest announcers ever, even if he for some reason retires next month. Its one thing to critique someones faults but to outright say they suck is ridiculous.

Joe's made a career being opinionated so it's no surprise that leaks into his commentary. The issue I have with Joe's commentary is his need to be viewed as an "expert". We all know Joe knows MMA but he doesn't need to posture as much as he does. He wants us, the audience, to believe he knows more than anyone --sometimes more than the fighters themselves-- what's going on in the octagon. Then he uses his "expertise" to impose his views and opinions on commentators, fighters, and the MMA community as a whole. Joe is very entertaining but I'd be lying if I haven't imagined what the UFC will look like once him and Dana are gone.

I was very new to the sport when the Izzy vs Jan fight happen. I last saw Izzy piece up Costa and I wanted to see him clinched double champ in his next fight. I was fully convinced Izzy could have won because of Rogan's commentary so when they read the decision out, I felt the judges got it wrong Looking back at it now, I am shocked at how much glizzy guzzling Rogan displayed in front of the whole world. And yh he definitely has something against Jan at this point

I like Joe, I listen to his podcast, but i absolutely HATE his commentary and his MMA takes in general. Lately I started skipping ahead whenever I listen to his podcast and he starts talking MMA, because I just know it will be yet another brainless take, or another one of his classics like talking about leg kicks changing the game for a millionth time.

When I started watching (2009 or so), Rogan was one of the most interesting and relatable parts of any UFC broadcast. That's not the case anymore. And he has this weird thing going on where the less he actually contributes, the more respected and influential he is; fighters publicly worshiping him in the octagon, the hugely successful podcast, etc.

I think there is plenty of reasons that many people (not just Joe) don't keep the same energy when it comes to the TJ and Jones steroid topics. Jon continues to win, TJ doesn't. I think that is an important distinction because perception is everything and wins obviously age better than losses. Had TJ beat Aljo, the narrative of him being a GOAT would have been right back in the equation. People value loyalty. TJ being called out by Conor while on TUF for being a snake in the grass and warning Faber that TJ is not his friend or loyal, certainly didn't help TJ's perception when he ended up doing everything Conor accused him of. When called out by his former team mates for taking EPO, that also ended up being true. This looks bad. lol EPO requires injection. While all steroids are considering cheating, there is something extremely dirty when it comes to needles. It's viewed differently, justified or not, that is just the truth. TJ is the type of guy to put his team mates and coaches down in interviews by claiming they are not relevant fighters. He's the type of dude that sucker punches sparring partners. Lastly, while we could write out 5 million terrible things Jon has done, he always owns up to it. While this doesn't excuse his behavior, people have an easy time identifying him as a person with demons and flaws. Mainly though, it's just the fact he keeps winning his fights. It's hard to keep the same energy for TJ when Cejudo sent him to the shadow realm and then he gets busted for the same drug his former team mates accused him of taking and then a lengthy suspension followed so the last thing everyone remembers is TJ being humiliated and then suspended. lol Yes, there is bias, but it's due to winning vs losing. lol

I really like Joe, but just look how he fuels the popular casual narrative (like with Adesanya vs Jan) in a way that unbiased experts aren’t willing to do. His podcast reaction to Islam vs Volk with Schaub and company is a prime example. Almost no media expert scored that fight for Volk, the live odds indicated it was a clear decision, but Joe somehow watched a different fight because he wanted an upset so bad.
