In WonderBoy’s defense, I’m sure he would have been eager to fight anyone anytime if it were 5-6 years ago. I think he just wants some fun fights to put on a show for the fans. He’s not looking for the title. After two elite WWs grappled him in largely boring fights, WB declined because he felt it would be more of the same.

I don't know. I have a fear that Ian has a weird special skill. The ability to figure out how to just do enough to beat anyone via stealing a decision. Like he might have the skill to be the most anti-climactic decision stealers in the ufc. Watch him form a new gameplan for shavkat where he trains nothing but sprints and kicks. He comes in and calf kicks shavkat at 001% power, punches him in the arm and literally sprints away for 5 rounds. It's like Izzy vs Romero on roids. Or off roids, to be more accurate.

Leon vs Shavkat is a phenomenal match and hopefully it happens sooner than later. Prime Usman was the best WW. He was dominating Leon until he got caught. I would have also liked Prime Usman vs Shavkat, Usman can still do it.

Shavkat and Garry are evenly matched I think..I can't stand the dude's personality, but I don't let that blind me to reality..No welter weight will do good on the feet against Page, and any one that stands on their feet is an idiot..And MVP did expect Garry to grapple according to himself..The hate for Garry is understandable, but don't let it compromise your critical thinking skills..No fighter goes 8-0 in the UFC without serious skills..Which is common sense..

I actually think JDM would beat Edwards, since edwards does tend to shell up against the cage and has a very suspect chin, i think the pressure boxing would pose some problems as jdm tries to back Edwards up against the cage and tees off with body shots. Its very close as there are many unknowns about Jack but he has displayed an Iron chind and has demonstrated good cardio in high paced fights.

i completely agree man. Of course with the way Shavkat doesn't move his head much, any competent high level striker could crack him, but the bigger problem with Ian in my opinion is his apparent lack of confidence in his abilities. If he fights Shavkat, in my opinion, he'll be mentally defeated by the end of the first.

I respect the callout, but there is no place where Ian has an advantage over Shavkat. I suppose he can catch him coming in, but the odds for this should be comparable to Jon Jones vs Alex Pereira.

Ehhh think you're ignoring the importance of footwork. We don't really know what his TD defense looks like yet. It's the same reason it took O'Malley beating Aljo for you to realize how good he is. Footwork is a part of the fight game that makes calling fights so impossible. I think Gary loses, no doubt, but acting like there's no chance in it being competitive seems silly to me. Gary could give Shavkat problems in the standup if he could get his kicks going.

Shavkat has great footwork, he just struggles at taking his head off the center line while throwing. Kinda like stipe. In terms of kicking I actually think shavkat is much better at setting them up than garry. And shavkat arguably has the best jab in the division. If shavkat fights smart I’d pick him but I worry he’ll try to rush a finish against Garry and get countered in mid-range boxing engagements where Ian has the definitive advantage.
