Tree Service Bucket Truck Fire 1/31/24 Middletown Township, PA
On scene video where firefighters extinguished a fire involving a tree service bucket truck next to home in the Parkland area of Middletown Township.
Firefighters responded Wednesday afternoon to the area of Myrtlewood and Hollywood Avenues after multiple call for a truck fire. Upon responding; firefighters recieved word there was a worker possibly still in the bucket. Taking those reports into account, a ladder tower was added on the assignment.
Middletown Engine 244 arrived first in an went in service assisted by crew of Parkland Engine 9 who also established a water supply from a hydrant at the top of the street. Langhorne-Middletown Tower 21 assisted with extinguishment on the ground as well as with a booster line off Engine 244 hoisted up by firefighters on the aerial.
An exterior wall of an exposure home sustained minor fire damage and a fuel spill from the vehicle was also contained. First responders were on scene for over an hour.

I’m going to make a prediction on how the fire probably started. Probably a hydraulic leak probably hit the hot exhaust or something hot on the motor and that’s what probably caused the fire.
