we hope so too.. his name is Odin.. Loki is the kitty my sister lost.. 3 months ago she had to put down her sick kitty and now this on top of it.. it breaks my heart!

I can't tell if it's Alpha or Bravo foam but they were using it on the structure, and it flowed down the driveway, helping to suppress the gasoline fire. But because the fuel tank was leaking they really needed to set up a dam around it to contain the fuel...

The one cat is in critical condition. We have a go fund me page. We are trying to save Odin the cat. We would appreciate any help. The cat has responded well to the meds. But day one 6000+ dollars for ICU and he is still in. My sister just put down a sick cat not more than 3 months ago then this fire and one furbaby is gone and Odin is fighting for his life. It won't let me post the GoFundMe but if you search Buttonwood Ln fire it will come up

All crews at this fire were volunteer. Multiple departments were present

Get the house fire out before they put the jeep out. I had a truck fire like that once, we had to call for a tanker to assist us.

well clearly the exposure from the jeep started extending to the dwelling and the jeep is a great source of fuel for a wood frame dwelling. this is where having multiple companies with lines comes in clutch.

i could not bear to watch the firefighter with the furbaby and had to skip that part just too much for me seeing that! i would be lost without my cat if something ever happen to her she rescued me 15yrs ago i think she was around a yr to a yr and a half then and she is stillin fairly good health thankfully as she is my reason for existing these days. If something happen to her i would not be far behind her!

Why can’t the Fire Dept and city have something in place that when there a fire tow trucks are sent to the area to tow car away from buildings and out of there way. They don’t mind towing them for no reason in most cases

I was just wondering if that jeep was a hybrid gas electric, the battery is under the back seat. I feel bad for the family losing their furbie, I hope that the one that was rescued is ok. I feel bad we lost one of our kittys in a house fire in November 2022 ,they are like children

regular gas jeep. its a JK. . the fuel line from ther tank prob melted and the expansion of the gas in the tank due to heating up causes it to dribble out of that line and stay on fire underthe jeep.. its reallty hard to put that out.. you have to cool everything around it down includingthe fuel itself that is probably boiling off to get the fire completely out.. the FD had the right idea with a foam attack but of course they are putting most efforts into saving the house and exposures.. the jeep is stabilized..

These guys have no idea how to handle a gasoline fire, and they really need to cut the power on the Jeep to de-energize the fuel pump!

The fuel tank has failed and its just running out underneath. There is no power in the jeep. That said they do not look very well trained in anything sadly.

@@andyoxleyonhistravels Andy, on modern cars, the fuel pump is in the fuel tank, is electric, and is always energized to keep the fuel line pressurized so that the fuel injectors have pressure instantly to start the car. Yes, the fuel line failed and fuel is coming out, I agree there, and perhaps the fuel tank as well, which would have nothing to do with the pump, but the pump is energized. That's why you need to kill the power if it's still live, as it is in this case...

The fuel pump is not working. Fuel is coming from the bottom of the tank. If it were working, fuel would be under pressure feeding the fire.

Another useless Dodge-Jeep product. Would have been a rusted POS in a few years anyway.
