Tragic Details About Johnny Cash
Ойын-сауық
There are many great musical artists who have brought countless hits to the masses over the years. However, there is only one artist who can translate sorrow, tribulation, and anguish into beautiful words and sound, and that artist is Johnny Cash. Cash’s distinct brand of music is often associated with rebelliousness and a somber mood. His trademark all-black stage wardrobe earned him the nickname, “The Man In Black.” The stories Cash told in his music had parallels to his own life. Life imitated art in the case of Johnny Cash and these are the tragic details about the legendary genre-spanning musical legend.

Hello Carole 👋👋 How are you doing and how's the weather condition over there ?
I’m 18 years old and cash is one of my favorite legends who ever walked the earth and blessed us with his journey. His music will always be on the top of my list. I started listening to his music around I was 7 years old when I found a disc in my dads collection of music of Johnny Cash 10 top hits and I had his music all day and night. I’m forever grateful.
Johnny Cash is a story of America. No one has or ever will write or sing music like he did . He was a genius with a simple writing that was deep and touched your soul. Deeply religious and deeply flawed . He was in love so deeply with June .One of the greatest love stories in our century. He treated June with the love , respect and admiration every man should treat a woman with. He is a true American story.
I never knew this man personally hut his music touch me. More so his tone...the sadness in his voice. I think that was what drew me into his musics. Great man and legend.
We were all rockers in the 60's and 70's, but we had respect for Cash and his music. Not the gospel or religious crap, but his personal/popular songs about life. He was an easy personality to believe....you felt like you lived his life with him in his songs.
Johnny lived a life of ups and downs. He wasn't one who tried to hide behind his fame. His voice is a musical voice on it s own. I love Johnny. May he R.i.p.

This makes me realize how accurate “walk the line” was
@AShroudOfTruth
2 жыл бұрын
Not accurate at all. Walk the Line song was written for his first wife Vivian, whom he called Viv. Ironic they'd use this song as the movie title. It was a love song to her and an oath that he would forever remain faithful to her. Which of course was a promise he'd eventually end up breaking, not to mention her heart. Documentary called 'My Darling Vivian' tells the story.
@dill2962

@@AShroudOfTruth June Carter wrote that song
@AShroudOfTruth
2 жыл бұрын
@@dill2962 No she didn't, Cash wrote that song for his wife Vivian who he was deeply in-love with at the time, and 'before' he met June. "I Walk the Line" was recorded in 1956. He didn't even know June then, they didn't start touring together until 1963, which was when their affair began. I think you're referring to 'Ring of Fire' which Johnny wrote but told his wife Vivian that he was going to give June Carter half credit for the song because she needed the money, and he 'felt bad for her', but guess he ended up giving her all the credit. His wife was with him when he wrote both.

I was in love with John in the 60s and 70s, he was so handsome, charming and virile, not to mention such a talented musician...just made my heart jump up and down ❤️ In the years to come after that I read The Man In Black and learned more elsewhere of the struggles, sadness, trials and tribulations of John’s life. Saw the movie too, found it depressing. No wonder he looked so old and worn out when only in his early 70s, today that is no great age. The loss of June finished him off, I believe. R.I.P., my hero. I pray that he and “June Bug” are young and happy again in blissful eternity, in each other’s arms forevermore.

fjordike must be nice to live a perfect life such as yourself. People who throw stones should remember what Jesus said to the woman who was being stoned for adultery. After Jesus wrote in the sand, as her accusers dropped their stones and left. Personally I think Jesus was writing their sins down as a reminder, we all sin. But God is merciful. No doubt Johnny sinned but he did turn his life over to Christ LATER!

Some people say it was his brother whom he was singing about when he sang "I still miss someone." In the movie biography his dad blamed him for the death of the brother and said "It should have been you," The brother was the favorite and he hated Johnny.
The video for "Hurt" was, if I recall correctly, the last time that June Carter Cash appeared in a performance prior to her death. Also, the museum shown in the video burned to the ground five years after his passing. The American Recordings were a hell of a comeback prior to his death.

Actually, part of the Hurt video was filmed in Johnny Cash’s home in Hendersonville, Tennessee (such as the table banquet scenes, June looking down from the stairs, and Johnny at the piano). This home was sold to Barry Gibb (singer with The Bee Gees) after Johnny died but it burnt down accidentally in 2007 (while being renovated) before Gibb could move in to it. The House of Cash museum, where other parts of the Hurt video was filmed, had been closed for many years prior to Johnny’s death but did not burn down - that building was also eventually sold after Johnny’s death.
