Kathy Cash is a very genuine, down to earth person and this is one of the most interesting interviews I have ever had the pleasure to watch. I had many laughs and was fascinated by the stories of the one and only "Johnny Cash" and family. Well done Alex!

As a child, on your dads show , he would say goodnight to all you kids. My name was Cindy, and my Mom said he was saying goodnight to me. As a poor farm girl , it meant alot. I knew he didnt mean me, but it made a poor kid feel special, when the youngest of 8, no one was special. But it was a small joy to be singled out.

Alex, Wow! What a fantastic job you’ve done to interview with Kathy Cash! I’ve known that you are a Johnny Cash fan from previous shows you’ve done (and quite a good musical impersonator at that). Your appreciation for “The Man in Black” really shows through - subtly so - and helps make for a great interview. It was a great thing you’ve done to reach out to connect with his daughter. It’s also clear that you have made her feel very comfortable and at home talking about her family’s personal stories. That’s a skill that’s born of someone who’s a very good, natural listener and honors who they are talking to… This is a professional level interview!! Jeff M. (a follower and big fan of your show)

Beautiful lady, beautiful stories. Her Dad carved her Mom's name in a cedar bench that was along the River Walk in San Antonio Texas. The story goes many years later her Mom found it on a visit to SA. She wanted to take it home but the city wouldn't let her and put it in a local museum. I remember at the time most of us felt she should have been allowed to take it home. I bet her Mom was a wonderful person. It takes a strong woman to love a man like that and love him enough to continue to honor him even after you let him go. She sure did a good job raising her girls.

Great song by the man in Black Cathy is very lucky to have Johnny Cash as her father and America and Canada and Australia to have a great entertainer like Johnny Cash.

It's always the little things that never make it into books and interviews that I love hearing the most. Santa's boots on the carpet, the monkey with the hat, riding a kiddos bike down a huge hill, jealously over the parrot, and blasting music from the rooftops. What a lovely interview. Kathy Cash comes across as very likeable. After watching the interview I watched My Darling Vivian and I am reading I Walked The Line. I had previously read a biography of Johnny Cash that was a bit more sympathetic to Vivian, so when I saw the movie that was made about Johnny Cash I knew that how she was portrayed wasn't at all fair or realistic. The funny thing is that I had never really listened to Johnny Cash until Alex started covering some of his songs and now I have learned so much about him. I teach violin to children and growing up as a classically trained violinist I only really listened to classical music. Now in my 60's I am discovering an entire world out there of fabulous music that I have never heard. I feel so excited to know there is always more to learn.

I knew nothing about Vivian! The press wrote the love story of June and Johnny, and Vivian was simply written out of the story. June even referred to the four sisters as “her” daughters. I did go and watch the film about her. She was a very classy lady who was treated poorly by the public, and even sometimes by Johnny. And then she died too young because of a medical error…. I enjoyed this interview - thanks for doing it.

I am somewhat younger than Kathy Cash, but my parents were of a similar age to hers, I was their youngest child. They also met each other rollerskating. Their love story started with a rollerskating dance contest. My father asked my mom if she'd skate with him in the contest, and they were married a little over a year later, right after my mom turned 18. Both my parents are gone as well. I enjoyed Kathy's remembrances.

After watching your visit with Kathy I searched out the documentary "My Darling Vivian" and it touched my heart deeply. What an amazing tribute to a strong woman (and daughters) and all that they had to endure because the Father that they loved had the gift of song. It's hard enough to have family struggles without everything being so public. How painfuI to have to deal with that as children. I will be ordering Vivian's book and would encourage other's to watch the documentary "My Darling Vivian". Sending much Love to Kathy and her sisters.

Enjoyed watching this a lot. Kathy Cash seems really sweet. Im about her age i would guess and i became a Johnny fan a little later in life. But I've watch every video on here of him. I am looking forward to watching Vivian's documentary and also listening to Kathy's son's music. Vivian was so beautiful, and it sounds like she was really nice too.
