Pure greed! He wrote his will and stipulated who gets what. The daughters should be ashamed of themselves.

I think his daughters deserve what he made . Johnny was not around a lot and Their Mother raised them alone . Drugs and alcohol . But it’s his will he left . The girls were not being greedy . They loved their Dad . In early years when they were babies , he was a great father . His first wife loved Johnny , even though she married another , all her Life . In my opinion all the children should of got equal . I just watched the documentary about Vivian and the girls . May She RIP

A $300 million dollar estate, and the daughters only got a million each? That hurts.

It’s so sad what Johnny Cash did to his first wife. She loved him dearly. June Carter broke up the marriage. She was also married. What does that tell you? He had 4 small daughters that got ignored by their dad. I may be old fashioned but I call it like I see it.

Absolutely.

It seems as if he was showing favoritism to his son. To be left out by a parent can feel like abandonment. It is unfair to leave children various amounts. I think it is a rotten thing to do.

Wow, that is a horrible father if that is true. I can not even imagine how psychologically wounded those girls are and the family is broken forever.

I loved johnny cash....

Ownership of a music estate is also the control of it. I imagine Johnny Cash gave that to his son because he felt that would result in it being best managed. A good example of how an estate can be mismanaged is the J.R.R. Tolkien estate after the death of Christopher. Those now managing it aren't Tolkien's descendants and the result is Amazon's "Rings of Power," which bears little relation to anything Tolkien wrote or believed.

Maybe, just maybe he left something to Vivian, too, but most likely not. This is why I despise men who criticize women who don’t have “traditional” views. When they decide to up and leave for another woman, you dissolve and often the kids, too. The new family gets it all, the happy ending, entitlement, wealth, etc while the initial family created has little to no value. Lost a lot of respect for Cash, he caused them a lot of emotional damage. Looks like Karma caught up to him, house burning down and all. Very disappointing outcome for his girls.

The will os one thing and what he gave his children im death..but there ìs another side to the story.do u have any idea how much he gave them while he was alive.and do not think his son would not help his sisters.

Without knowing his children's relationship with their half siblings, we don't know that - and he couldn't know that- for sure

I have no respect for Johnny Cash. To leave 4 of his daughters out of his will, with all of his millions! June Carter broke up his first marriage and I don't know what he saw in her. She was not even pretty.. So sad to favor 1 child over the others. How can he be at peace! Imagine how his daughters must feel!

Your opinion about June Carter Cash does not matter to Johnny. He thought she was beautiful. She brought him the most happiness. By the way, if you were able to understand the video, it stated that he left each of his daughters from Vivian 1 million each.

June Carter wrote the first version of the song, which is available on youtube as well as the explanation. She was and will always be a hero and Johnny Cash's angel, just as he was her's. And their legendary and mesmerising legacy is for the world to have forever..

June didn’t break up the marriage, Johnny was with women the whole time he was touring so he wasn’t tied to the first wife and he wasn’t made to marry June it was his choice .

I don’t think everything you hear is true, if the girls lost the law suit then there was a reason and I’m sure June and John made those decisions before she died also !!!! Everyone has an opinion which if you don’t know the whole story you can’t judge the truth of it !!!

I always heard that June and Merle wrote Ring of Fire not Johnny, so by rights Johnny cashes first four daughters shouldn’t have received any royalties from that song, they could have been cut out altogether but were blessed he left them each one million , when they say what they’re worth a lot of that is property , museum space not everything is money.

I believe Johnny Cash left a book of the royalties and the money to his son because he's both fatherless and motherless he has nobody else so Johnny made sure he took care of him.

How the heck is that greed. He has 4 daughters before he had a child with the 2nd wife. He should have made sure those girls had rights to his music since they suffered the most from his drug abuse days. It sounds like his son is another greedy someone.
