WatchMojo, I love your channel and your lists, but there were so many inaccuracies in regards to the "reasons" for many of the games having aged badly on this list. And I'm being kind. It's content like this that gives people that hate your channel ammunition. Do better. This list was just sloppy and lazy. Seriously.

I just watched the start so far - Team Fortress is the worst. I hated it in Quake and never played it in Half-life. I played Capture The Flag (CTF) in Quake and Counter-Strike in Half-life. I was Kano in Mortal Combat. Didn't play Bandicoot. Resident Evil was the start of one of the most epic franchises in the World, I dunno how it can be on this list. Didn't play Noir. Didn't play DK64. Elder Scrolls IV was ok, it was late though because it has become the time of MMOs. Didn't play Mafia. Didn't play Little Big Planet. Didn't play Sonic Adventure. Fallout 3 was ok like Elder Scrolls IV was. Didn't play Silent Hill. Bought a video card that came with and didn't play Assassin's Creed, it is another Fallout 3/Elder Scrolls IV. Didn't play Star Fox. I played Virtual Fighter on an emulator on the PC, it was pretty good for the time. Never played Kinect Adventures. Grand Theft Auto III, what can I say? I played the original, wasn't impressed with that, III was just what I did in real life in the late 1980s that I wrote a book about, covering 3 years of just the funny crimes. Didn't play Night Trap. Tomb Raider is awesome, still is. Didn't play Goldeneye. Can you tell I am a PC only guy pretty much? Been playing video games on computers since 1972.

Hey now, it wasn’t just the fact that it was on console that Goldeneye reigned supreme. It was the first FPS to implement an objective system. Up until that point (Doom, Quake, Duke Nukem etc.) FPS-ing simply meant, enter the level, kill as much as you can, find and get to the exit. Goldeneye wasn’t Game of The Year three years in a row just because it was on console.

@@domx7zero157 SEGA 3D games that came out before Sonic Adventures. Well, let's see... A whole lotta racing games like the Sega Rally series, the Daytona Usa series, Scud Race, Sega Touring Car, among others. A bunch of 3D fighter games like Virtua Fighter 1, 2 and 3, Fighting Vipers 1 and 2, Fighters Megamix, The Last Bronx, Virtual On, Sonic Fighters... Shooting games like Virtua Cop 1 and 2, The House of the Dead, etc... Sega had a lot of experience with 3D games, especially on the arcade before Sonic Adventures ever came out. Ever since SEGA launched it's Model 1 arcade board, 90% of the games they made were in 3D. Even Shenmue was in development way before Sonic Adventures. You may not enjoy Virtua Fighter, but back when I first played it in 1994, it was a blast. It's just one of those games that is easy to pick up but hard to master. I got my ass kicked by experienced players and the harder difficulty of the game is enfuriating. It's a game witn a steep learning curve which made more casual players like myself to go on and play more Tekken than Virtua Fighter. But, although SEGA was one of the more experinced game developers with 3D grafics, probably Sonic Adventures was one of their first 3D platformers. But then again, not much companies had more than a dozen 3D games under their belts back in 1999, while SEGA and NAMCO had plenty of experience with 3D back then. Honestly, google a list of SEGA games on the Model 1, Model 2 and Model 3 arcade boards and you will see how much games they really had in 3D. If you get to try some, you might even be surprised with how much fun they still are.

    19. Compared to the fatalities in the modern games, THESE fatalities seem tame. 18. That and High Road. 17. I've never been a fan of moving your trajectory left or right and then pressing up to go forward. It makes moving around far too restrictive. 15. The only problem I have with the game is it's cheap difficulty. Take for example the rabbit race rematch in Fungi Forest, where even if you use an exploit that lets Lanky start off in the orangu-sprint position, you get wrecked. Or the Krazy Kong Klamour minigames in the later worlds, where they BARELY GIVE YOU ANY TIME AT ALL TO REACT before the screen fades to black. There's also the rocketbarrel missions where it's VERY CLEAR that the rocketbarrel WASN'T DESIGNED WITH SLOW AND CAREFUL NAVIGATION IN MIND! The controls feel too finicky and touchy to navigate properly. But none can hold a candle to the mother of all unfair bullsh!t, BEAVER BOTHER AND THE BEETLE RACES!!! Whenever a beaver reaches the hole, instead of running and falling in, more often than not, it feels more like an invisible barrier prevents them from running in. Like seriously, SE-RI-OUS-LY, did ANYONE playtest this minigame?! And who could forget the beetle races? You lose tokens if the beetle runs into you and the track is full of sections with tight turns, no guard rails, and sections with tight turns AND no guard rails. And if you fly off the track, you automatically lose and have to do it again! 7. You'll also notice that this game doesn't even have a targeting reticle at various points, which is ABSOLUTELY REQUIRED in a game like this! 1. You'll also notice this game also has no targeting reticle on the HUD. This makes aiming much harder. Plus the multiplayer is unbalanced, cheats, proximity mines, and ODDJOB! Seriously, he's not even this short in the movies, who screwed THIS up?!

It might've been better if instead of the Tag Barrels, switching a Kong was tied to the press of a button or combo of buttons (Z+R being a logical option).

A game I played recently that felt really hard to get into and felt really dated was the OG Final Fantasy 7. Played tons of JRPGs around that gen and they hold up much better.

Same, I could easily get into FF8 and 9 (especially 9, it aged incredibly well) but FF7 felt clunky to control and the graphics were really block-ish.

Yeah, I feel like the FF7 has way worse than the games that came before it. I’ve always said that the Final Fantasy games on NES and SNES, along with Tactics, VIII, IX, X, have aged miles better than Final Fantasy 7. I’ll admit it was revolutionary for the time and helped to make PlayStation a household name in gaming, but there’s better games before and after it.

So about Fallout 3 being on this list…. Sure it doesn’t hold up graphic wise compared to today’s games but considering how much of a landmark revolutionary masterpiece it is I’m more then willing to look past that and appreciate the game for what it is.

I think Fallout 3 was still amazing for what it was, even though its graphics aren't the best anymore. I have only a few problems with the game and how they implemented certain things (special training for power armor is a big one but that's because fallout 4 did the power armor better in general), but I can still look past that because its story and world are just amazing.

In my humble opinion, Fallout 3 ain't no masterpiece AT ALL. First of all, the game engine used is quite terrible, the "RPG" element is almost non-existent, characters have close to no depth and the real ending of the game is in a DLC (mostly). New Vegas, on the other hand, while still using Fallout 3's terrible engine, manages to be an even better experience even from just an RPG standpoint. Your actions matter, your stats really mean something compared to F3 and it was just made in about a year, that's crazy! It's such a shame that Bethesda doesn't get what Fallout is and the chapters they've produced for the series show that.

Tbh any Bethesda RPG games are pretty mediocre in my opinion. Don’t get me wrong they know how to make great open world but I feel like the game design are being recycle over and over again and once you beat the game there nothing to do so its a one hit wonder so there’s no replay value.

I think Night Trap aged better due to the newfound popularity of Visual Novels and adventure games. Danganropa,Life is Strange and Phoenix Wright would have been bashed 30 years ago. Also the 80s cheese holds more appeal now than it did back then because nothing was more lame than the 80s in the early 90s.

I played GTA 3, vice city and San Andreas on PS2 and happily downloaded the PS4 copies available on PlayStation store.

I understand why Star Fox is on this list seeing is how the graphics have aged terribly. Grand Theft Auto 3 and GoldenEye 007 are also very good games with outdated graphics. However, Oblivion does not deserve to be on this list as that is still a quality game with decent graphics, an awesome soundtrack, hilarious voice acting, and the replay value on the game is higher than most games that do not have a new game plus attached to it.

I don't never hate on good older video games. It's like a old cartoon that you like when you was a child. By looking at those graphics they just bring back good moods and memories. The fun factor is still there with their own type of graphics.
