This just goes to show that Arizona has no strong male wrestlers in that weight class. They’re probably playing girls volleyball instead.

You do know that when a male competes against a female the male never gives it 100% like he would with another male. That's why she won it's the only reason.

💯! An athletic women can beat average and unathletic men but elite women can’t not compete against elite men in sports. The fastest woman would usually rank anywhere between 1500-4000 in men’s division at track and field every year. It’s just biology and science…

Some facts on this topic: In 1984, when Chris Evert was the #2 ranked female tennis player in the world, she admitted she couldn't beat her brother--who was just a mediocre college player. When the Canadian Women's hockey team won the gold medal at the 2010 Winter Olympics, they quietly played an ordinary team of 15- and 16-year-old boys during the tournament for some tough competition--and lost, even though the boys were playing under women's hockey rules (no body contact). Recently a group of retired Welsh male soccer players beat the current U.S. women's national team 12-0 in a tournament. The match was stopped before its completion on the equivalent of a mercy rule.

The young lady has excellent wrestling skills. When searching for videos, there aren’t any other than her dominating other female wrestlers. There are 2 videos of her wrestling boys, the first is from a couple years ago and she was wrestling against a boy of equal height and weight and she was dominated for the entire match not scoring a single point. The second is a highlight of her wrestling a young boy for the state championship. She did not dominate and it was clear she is an 18 year old wrestling a boy of about 13 or 14. It looks like such a hollow victory, like when Cramer dominated a children’s karate class. If she’d really dominated there’d be videos everywhere.

Looked into this, she petitioned to fight against the boys because there was no cimpetition for her in the girls division. She beat a lot of good wrestlers. 2nd place was 47-7. No statement of their ages but likely sophomores and juniors. This is D1 in AZ so the tougher tournament. While the overall competition was light, what she did would earn respect from any wrestler. Particularly special as a Girl. That said, shes clearly the exception to the rule. Shell go on to win an olympic medal. But this never should have happened.

Then when there is not a single woman in America playing sports at any level, maybe, just maybe someone will say, "hey this doesn't seem fair, maybe we should have special leagues just for women". Until that happens this nonsense will continue.

TECHNICAL SKILLS COUNT IN WRESTLING. Let's see her win in weightlifting or running with those guys she beat wrestling. I think the outcome would be totally one sided in favor of boys. Wrestling is more technical. I wrestled in high school for the first time, against kids who have been competing since grade school. I was often more fit and stronger than my opponents, but did not have the technical skills to beat them. I would also lose points due to some obscure rule violation I was unaware.

High School weight class strats at 106 lb College starts at 125. Most High School Wrestlers at 106 are 14 year old skinny Freshman. She a senior at 106 lb and from the looks of her something off. Too much muscle mass.

She is in the lowest weight class. There aren't as many high school boys that small as in the other weight classes. She still kicks ass though. I looked it up. She did it.

106, is the lowest weight class, VERY few guys enter. As a result the competition level is much lower. That said a state title is nothing to sneeze at. What that shows is she is a great female wrestler wholl likely be awesome in the girls division.

@@kvoncomedy just look at college, theres no weight class where any girl is remotely competetive. Go to the worlds/olympics, that divide gets bigger.

This would be resolved quickly if the real women would refuse to play. Then the people allowing this unfairness would have to face the fact that the women's sport organizations that they are making a living at running would cease to exist. Once their paycheck is at risk somehow, they would come to the conclusion, very quickly, that this is unfair to biological women. By very quickly, I mean within a week. The counter response to suggesting that biological women should refuse to participate is that the girls have practiced for years to play, and some would lose scholarships etc. So, what they are saying is they refuse to stand up for themselves, women in general, and women's sports because there may be some sacrifice. If that attitude prevailed throughout history, injustice and oppression would always win. There would be no USA, no women's sports, no freedom. Just slavery.

If you've ever seen a clip of boys / girls wrestling you'll see the boys DO NOT grab the girls in the same places as they do other guys.

girls don't belong in wrestling in the first place. boys who have to endure that crap should be told to go kick it's butt as quickly as possible without fear of discipline. boys are taught not to roughhouse with girls at an early age. to the boys who didn't fully engage her on your mats in your sport SHAME ON YOU. you let your sport down and your gender

A strong sized girl in that weight class is comparable to an anorexic boy in a critical condition.
