LGBTQ Activist Takes On Piers Morgan Over Athletes Refusing To Wear Rainbow Colours

Ойын-сауық

Bisexual activist and writer Lewis Oakley and wrestler and Fox News commentator Tyrus join Piers Morgan to discuss Pride month and its involvement in sports. Piers believes that people shouldn’t have to wear or support any cause that they don't believe in, including LGBTQ colours on their sports top and rainbow laces. Lewis believes that you can choose to support what you want but people are also allowed to discuss and question why someone takes that decision. Tyrus goes on to say you shouldn’t judge people based on public perception or these decisions and tells a great story about Sharon Osbourne being one of the nicest people to him and his black co-workers even though she’s been mislabelled a ‘racist’ after being dropped from The Talk on CBS.

Absolutey not. The flag represents an ideology and people shouldn't be forced to display their supposed allegiance to it. If they want to do it, they definitely should. But there can be many reason why someone, even those who generally support LGTBQ people, would not choose to display their allegiance to the flag.

There's no reason to feel "weird" about it! The "Rainbow" and the "Colors" have been around LONG BEFORE the "alphabet soup group" came along and started using the multi-colors of the "Rainbow" as their mantra or symbol! According to scripture, the Rainbow is the sign of "GOD'S" Covenant with ALL living beings! (see Gen.9:12-17) And that is what the "Rainbow" has represented for at least 6,000 years since the time that Noah was alive. The symbol or mantra of the Rainbow to represent the "alphabet soup group" has only been used for 45 years... since 1978! I think the "Sign of GOD'S Covenant" is a lot more relevant than the mantra of the "alphabet soup group!" Keep enjoying the colors of the Rainbow! That's why GOD gave it to us... Not the alphabet soup group!

These were the people made fun of and bullied 15 years ago or more. I'd say pre 2000s. And rightly so. The normal gay community just wants to fly under the radar, go about life and be left alone. These people are a special breed. Just losers with nothing to offer. They're not attractive physically or intellectually. Only thing they have is to attach themselves to a cult that thinks there's 539 genders, that the world should change everything for them. Have safe spaces and tampons in men's washrooms and no one can say it's all crazy. That workplaces have to accommodate every little thing about them......Look what happened now. People are starting to push back, not care and openly mock them. I say it's about time. Normal workplaces should never hire a weird pudgy looking thing with green, purple hair, piercings that wants to be called zey or zem. Lol The world doesn't work like that. Go crawl back into the troll cave and leave decent society alone. Let's rally people. Enough of these special creatures. Don't feed the trolls, ignore them and they'll go away. 😂

Are all colors just disgusting to you? Because if so you have a way bigger issue to handle than other peoples sexualities. If you have an aversion/phobia of colors, I’d say handle that first before worrying about any other issues. Live however you want, but i'm not going to be forced into anything, just becuase it will hurt your feelings if i dont.

Their choice was denied to them but we now accept their decisions, but now they are demanding if we disagree we must "SHUT THE HELL UP OR ELSE" And if you do not agree with them, there is something wrong with YOU. The old adage "I may not agree with what you say but I'll fight for your right to say it" Bunch of self righteous hypocrites.

As a gay man myself, I find it utterly disgusting to force people to wear my colors. I'm in my late 30s and never thought I needed a month where everyone should bow down to me. It's extremely selfish and I am disappointed by this activist who says the pride colors should be displayed in the middle east. You're showing lack of support of their religion which in your own words "says a lot about you". Edit: Wow 1k likes!! I wasn't prepared for that at all. Thanks guys. I do see some say the rainbow colors aren't for gays and all, and I understand that but thats what represents us and I love it. I don't display it all the time unless there's a festival then I'll wear a rainbow hat or something. But again I don't wish anyone to wear anything they don't want to nor do I ever want it enforced or promoted like what's going on in world cup in Qatar. Much love everyone and live how you want to live!

Great to hear a sensible comment from a gay man on the subject. There's too much hysteria in the gay community and it doesn't do gay people any favours.personally knowing if somebody is gay or straight is about as important as knowing whether they prefer tea or coffee or what their favourite biscuits are it's none of my or any else's business and he is entitled to live without fear. I coming from South London am a fan of Millwall FC Over the years I have worked with hundreds of West ham fans (Millwall's biggest enemy) without a single problem but if I was to put on a Millwall shirt and deliberately go to an East end pub full of West ham supporters and start singing "no one likes us we don't care" and " stand up if you hate West ham" I'm not likely to walk away unscathed.likewise if you deliberately decide to go to one of the most Homophobic cities Moscow in one of the world's most Homophobic countries Russia wearing a rainbow tea shirt and telling everyone you meet how proud you are to be gay things are unlikely to end nicely

Modern Liberals belong to a death-cult while Modern 'conservatives' belong to a suicide-cult. Imagine if lions turned a blind-eye to the hyenas making off with their cubs. It's called 'dumbing-down!' The only way to defeat this madness is to VOTE OUT the "woke" school board members controlling your district's schools. WE just voted-out 4 of these oppressors in the last school board election in my county. The final 3 will be voted-out in November, 2023. And the good news is that YOU CAN DO IT TOO!!!!

While I technically agree with that comment on this particular issue, I do get a bit confused on what the boundaries should be. For example, if a football player doesn’t want to wear the jersey of his team, should he be allowed to say no? For example, I am an avid University of Utah fan. If I couldn’t get on the U of U team but could get on the BYU team, should I right to tell BYU I plan to wear a U of U uniform on the field for every game because I don’t like BYU and I like the U of U? Personally, I would say BYU has the right to force me to wear a BYU uniform. However, should any employer have the right to force me to wear an Equality Flag? Generally, I would say no, but if I happen to work for an LGTBQ+ activist company perhaps the answer is yes. I can give specific examples, but I admit conceptually I have a hard time drawing exactly where the line is on what private employers can require employees to do, wear, or say on the clock. Perhaps it depends on if it is a free market or a monopoly/oligarchy. Maybe it comes down to if they are tax-subsidized. Maybe it depends on if they made it a clear condition for employment the day I signed up or not. Perhaps it comes down to whether or not it impacts my ability to do my job, which makes sense on the surface but is very subjective and hard to measure. For example, the NFL could argue that not being willing to wear an Equality Flag is alienating LGTBQ+ fans and is explicitly undermining their advertising campaigns. On a gut level I don’t believe it, but that isn’t independently easily measurable. Even if I prove the premise wrong in a court of law, I still probably couldn’t prove they didn’t genuinely believe they were right based on the evidence they had available to them at the time. It’s a conundrum.

Well said, Berty. My two best friends are a gay couple. They have the same opinions as you. They're actually part of the LGB alliance. Have you heard of that?

I do not understand why everything today is about sexuality. Why do I care? I don’t care what you identify as I don’t care who you sleep with. Why do people have to advertise and shout about their sexuality? I’m a heterosexual woman, but you don’t hear me identifying as a heterosexual, or announcing my sexuality to the world.

I am a man who sleeps with men and I absolutely want nothing to do with the LGBTQXYZ lot, and will not be flying a rainbow flag every June, or any other month. What I get up to in my bedroom has nothing to do with the bank account I use, or the airline I fly with, or my ability to do my job. My sexuality is not someone else’s or some corporation’s to use for social or commercial gain.

I can’t relate to the sleep ones men thing, but yeah I’ve always felt like people who Live life like that should be able to keep that private. I feel like all the rainbow flag stuff can cause attention to something that maybe people want to keep private
