Tiamat is the primordial goddess from Babylonian mythology and is considered to be the first being that existed long before the world itself was created.
The Babylonian creation epic Enuma Elish describes Tiamat as a mighty force of nature and several times depicted as a gigantic sea serpent dragon goddess.
According to the myth, life began when Tiamat, also known as the goddess of the salt sea and chaos, and Abzu, a primal being made of fresh water, and Tiamat's lover mixed salt and fresh water which led to the beginning of life.
Tiamat gave birth to the other principal Babylonian gods, and later on, was killed by "Marduk", a powerful younger generation of gods. From the pieces of Tiamat's slain body, the world was created.
"Tiamat" is a 32 cm balisong project, with a blade made from 5160 spring steel sculpted to resemble a sea serpent or a dragon, with a textured brass inlay near the tang.
The handle construction is of stainless steel housing, with Narra wood scales with bone embedded in the wood for the handle scales and an ornate brass plate overlay that runs from the pivot pins to the end of the handle.
