"Kage"
is a 29cm custom balisong project with a tanto-inspired blade profile, the name it carries is a Japanese word meaning "shadow".
the design is a variation of the first tanto balisong that I have built, the "Seishi", a long overdue project that has been on the workbench for quite a long time now,
The blade is a 5160 steel, ground flat with a basic tanto-inspired blade profile, a blood groove, and a textured spine area.
The handle construction is a stainless steel housing with Narra and Kamagong for the scales, pinned with hollow brass tubes and copper wires as rivets the pivot pins are solid arc brass and the latch is also made out of brass.
A combination of Narra and Kamagong gives "Kage" a conservative and elegant impression, a concept worthy of being brought to reality.
