The Nuggets were 46-19 in early March, on pace to possibly win close to 58-59 games and then ended the year going 7-10. They seemed to coast the last few weeks of the season and are probably better than their record suggests. I think part of it was the drama surrounding the MVP conversation and giving Jokic less PT. People definitely slept on them going into the playoffs and I feel like as of late the contending teams show who they are earlier in the season or around the ASB as opposed to March/April.

They played their bench during the second halves of those games, or for the whole game. Being healthy for the playoffs is more important then setting the franchise record for wins. I'm a Lakers fan, I'll hope and believe in them every year, but this year wasn't their year. And I'm so happy that, of all the teams they could have been knocked out by, they got taken out by Denver. Jokic is the best player in the league right now, he deserved a 3rd MVP. And the Nuggets are going to their first ever finals. That's special. The Lakers beat the supposedly up and coming Grizzlies who disrespected them the whole way. The Lakers beat the Warriors and their "championship DNA", LeBron got another piece of revenge on Curry, and the series showed that GS can't keep running it back with this squad. Those were 2 meaningful series that showed that LeBron and AD are not washed, they're right up there, capable of beating *almost* any team in the west. I hope they come back next year with a couple of tweaks and get the WCC. But this series was the Nuggets' time to show that Joker really is the MVP. They went through the teams that were supposed to be the most dangerous, and they beat them. Easily. They're firing on all cylinders, and I'm looking forward to the finals this year. As a Lakers fan, I don't want Boston getting anywhere near the chip, so I'm hoping real hard for Miami. When this round started, I was hoping for a Lakers Heat finals, but Nuggets Heat is almost as good. It's going to be amazing no matter who wins, because both Jokic and Jimmy deserve that hardware. They've both earned it, leading their teams, bringing the best out of their teammates, and showing up when they needed to. Thanks for your video, I love the content and the honesty.

The last time Jokic had a healthy team he made the WCF. People act like 2021 and 2022 are some big strikes against him. But the Nuggets had injuries to very important players. It's not like Jokic's own stats weren't great. He's always been awesome in the playoffs, yet for some reason there's a "lack of postseason success" narrative around him. He finally gets a healthy team, and the front office does a good job fleshing out the roster with role players and defenders that fit, and this is the result. He's the best player in the world, and has been for several years. The media just didn't want to recognize it because he doesn't fit their conventional definition of what the "best player" should look like. He's one of the 4-5 best offensive players in NBA history. That should count for something.

And the team that actually gave Denver the hardest time, and gave them the most matchup difficulties, was actually Minnesota. Anthony Edwards is the only player during the entire playoffs who looked like he was the best player on the court while sharing it with Jokic. That’s scary because he’s 21. A healthy Minnesota team with naz and McDaniels wouldve beat the lakers in the playin, would’ve beat the Grizzlies in round 1, and the warriors in round 2. I don’t think they beat Denver, but I can see it going to a game 7 with McDaniels. He could completely take Murray or porter out of a game.

His touch of the ball, feel and IQ for the game. The way he compensates for not being some freak of nature athlete by just outplaying everyone with his wits. I just don't get how you can see this man play (not even regarding the stats he puts up WHICH ARE FUCKING INSANE) and think he's not the best passing big the game has ever seen.
