Giving Jokic the ball when he's posted up is more likely to get you points than literally any other thing in the NBA of the last 10 years. That alone is insane. Very true, imo Jokic not using Social Media at all also plays a crucial role in keeping him humble. Idk if he watches like First Take or other shows but with Social Media, the feedback can make players have a certain level of arrogance that distracts them from the game. It’s a hot take but I think the more social media hyped Jimmy Butler up due to the Bucks series, the more he’s struggled as he kinda fed into it. I think Kevin Durant is another example of Social Media having too much influence over a player as well.

He's bringing a lot of new eyes to the sport. Nobody's seen a player like this before. I hope he wins and shuts down all the 3 point shooting that's happening in the league now. I love watching inside out basketball with a great big man as the mistro. He reminds me of how Larry Bird and Kevin McHale played but does what they both did.

Also, even in the 8 games where he didn’t record a triple double, he had a double-double in 6 of them. Of the two games he didn’t record a double-double, he had 9 rebounds and 9 assists in one of them. The ONLY game left was Gm3 against the lakers, which he went…24/6/8 on 47% shooting. Oh, and did I mention the man had two 40+ point games and a 53-point game as well? He is having one of if not THE most statistically dominant Playoffs EVER

Excellent analysis - more thoughtful and fact-driven than 90% of the talking heads on TV. One key factor that Jokic has is incredibly fast reactions that allow those killer touch passes. I believe he is the best passing big man of all time, and I’m old enough to have watched Wilt, Walton, Hakeem, and Kareem live.

The playoff success narrative was always silly. In previous seasons, the Nuggets were always the underdog. Or they were injured. Or both. Jokic himself was never the problem. He's always been great in the playoffs. This is just the first year that he's had a fully healthy, championship-level team.

And guys like kd, and giannis, will have to constantly defend his legacy like magic and dr j do birds today. This made me shake my head because i can see this happening so easily.

Had Jokić played in the 1970s 90% of fans would think that the only reason he was good is because he played in that era and that he got lucky that he didn't have to play in this era where athleticism shines. No one would think that Jokić would be what he is in our era.

Honestly, the stats say don’t lie, and the eye test makes it pretty clear too. Jokic is arguably the best offensive player ever at this point. He’s the most efficient scorer, the most prolific ever at his all time low usage rate and shot attempts, and even with the all time low usage rate, he still averages near 10 assists a game ontop of that 24.5 and can pass just as good as probably anyone ever, and is definitley one of the better big men at shooting 3s, while being an amazing mid range shooter. He’s also really ‘in shape! being top 10 in the playoffs for miles per game and top 10 in the regular season for miles per game for a Center while playing in Denver, where dame says everyone is exhausted by the third quarter, and Jokic is like an Ironman, he doesn’t miss that many games. With his defense not being an issue in the playoffs (probably because of how hard he’s trying and a good team around him), the nuggets just seem unstoppable. Also got to give credit to the organisation and the coach for seeing potential in this team before anybody really, and the great environment they got, no problems in the locker room, no complaining, such a humble team, and when your leader is a guy like Jokic who offered his starting spot for Nurkic to play (so that everybody stays happy, Nurkic wanted to get traded to be a starter), like how can you have beef with that guy, Jokic is one of those players like Tim Duncan, Giannis, Steph, Dirk… who if every team was built of just those guys there would never be a problem, and the nuggets are just honestly built of a team like that of all pretty humble players
