Honorable mention: Dwight Howard Everyone loves to say that he didn’t live up to his potential but the man is: 8x all-star 8x all-nba (5 of those First-Team) 3x DPOY 5x All-Defensive Team (4 of those First-Team) 5x Rebounding leader 2x Blocks leader Everyone wanna bash his toughness because Kobe said it but the man lead the league in rebounds for the Lakers playing with a torn labrum and a herniated disk in his back and only missed 6 games that year

Tim or anyone couldn't guard this man at all. then he gets a crazy offensive rebound and a pass to ray Allen to hit the shot to go to OVERTIME. Chris Bosh was one of the first strech powerfowards in the world. he had the gravity to get Tim out of the paint if Chris Bosh didn't join the heat leBron would only have 1 ring or would never join them. he was a top 10 player in the world many years on the raptors. i still think he is the greatest raptor of all time.

I have to talk about Scottie Pippen. Skip went overboard when he bashed Pippen. Jordan is the GOAT in my view. Even the GOAT needed a sidekick. Jordan would''ve never won those six rings without Pippen, period. Pippen is a disciplined version of Rodman, who could score. No one elite player could win a championship on there own. Just ask Kobe or Shaq.

Pippen was 2nd in MVP voting in 94 next to Olajuwon. Pippen was allstar MVP in 94 when players took that game seriously. Bulls were a 55 win team in 94 without Jordan and a horrible Hubert Davis call away from eastern finals where they would of beat Pacers but in my opinion would of lost to Rockets in finals. When Pippen went to Blazers he was a reason they went to game 7 for his performance in game 5 and 6 when they were down 3 - 1 to Lakers. And if hadn't blown a 15 point lead in 4th quarter they would of gone to finals and beat Indiana.

He also averaged 2.9 steals per game both years Michael was gone and was the steals leader in 95. But what people don't like to talk about is his 95 season. Yes, Scottie's 94 season was his best season but in his 1995 season, his second season without Jordan, his stats dipped slightly and the Bulls were 23-25 by the All Star break. It was the return of Michael Jordan that allowed the Bulls to turn it around. Jordan only played 17 games that season and the team went 13-4 with Jordan in the line up. They finished 47-35. So in his second year the Bulls were clearly struggling w/o Jordan. Bulls ended up going to the Semifinals in 1995 with the returned Jordan who hasn't competed in basketball for the last nearly 2 years and lost 2-4 vs Shaq and Penny's Magic.

Dragged teams in the playoffs MULTIPLE times, including when he was 40 years old on the Wizards. How exactly does Lebrons career compare to this in any way? I didnt even bring up stats, position, role on the team, help each player had. Like i said. Its not close at all. @@roberttorres7936 in what way? Just making that statement with no context or facts doesn't make it true lol. Wilt was a beast in his day but let's be honest, no one else was his size ( most of the tallest players were like 6'8 and unathletic ) and he would camp in the paint to inflate his stats. Teams in the 60s averaged like 120 possessions a game and NOBODY played defense. When he played against Bill Russell, one of the VERY FEW players that were close to his size, his numbers dropped drastically. Shaq, Hakeem, David Robinson, Dwight Howard all could have done what Wilt did in the 60s. He only has 2 rings because he was a stat chaser. He got traded twice because he couldnt get along with any coaches ( 9 coaches in 14 years.... Imagine teams trading Jordan, Lebron, Kobe etc. multiple times ) and when he went to the Warriors they had a record of 10-34. Once the rules changed and the league started to gain more talent, his numbers started to drop, which is why Jordan holds multiple scoring records over him. C'mon bro. You tell me to do my research but you're telling me Wilt has a more impressive resume than Jordan, while completely ignoring every shred of context surrounding that statement lmao.

There's an episode of NBA's Open Court in which former players debate about the next ten to be included in the top 60 of all time. Steve Nash was brought up and pretty much everyone shut it down by claiming that the Suns' offensive system made players look better than they actually were. What wasn't pointed out is that Nash was the engine of that system. I remember whenever he had to rest his back on the sidelines and the team's offense would just fall apart, causing their lead to go down. Out of the eight players in the 50-40-90 club, only two have achieved it in multiple seasons: Bird twice, and Nash four times. The latter coming one made free throw short of five straight, plus another close call at the end of his run.

  • @fralion0714

jp3813 Nash was clearly calling the shots on the floor for the Suns. People just swallowed the emotional appeal Shaq did in his statement that Nash stole his MVP, hence, people say he doesn't deserve any of the MVPs he got, that he stole the award from both Shaq and Kobe.

jp3813 I know. I just don't like the fact that people always associate mvp = 1st sclring option in the best team. It is not. Shaq was just the best scoring option in his team, Nash was clearly the reason his team is winning. Big difference. Impressive numbers ain't worth jack if you can't win. Shaq's numbers are truly impressive but he clearly wasn't the centerpiece of his team. Nash, was and will always be, the centerpiece of that amazing Suns team and he was, more often than not, leading the team to wins. Shaq was alwayd salty about titles and accolades to the point of being incredibly petty. I think that Shaq is pretty narcissistic. But that's just me though.

@@ostrich6175 to took credit away from someone's accomplishments seems like disrespect to me. By that reasoning, in the long history of the NBA, every finals that MJ didn't play in should be called into question. Plus, MJ did play in the playoffs when Dream won his second ring, correct? I'm 40 yo, I remember it very well, people celebrated MJ when he gave the Knicks 55 in the garden. When he beat ATL at the buzzer that season. But when an upcoming team led by a dominated Center, beat those bulls in the same playoffs that Olajuwon and Co. swept that team that beat Chicago. People want to all of a sudden rewrite history as if MJ didn't even play. C'mon now.
