    Tbh this playoff proved Jimmy Butler was always right about every place he went, literally every team he had issues with prior and the players he had issues with showed the exact reasons he had so many problems with them, the Miami Heat are such a hard nosed gritty organizations that firs perfectly for a superstar like Jimmy. Yes….Jimmy is a superstar idc what your favorite morning debate show tells you this isn’t a MVP award being a superstar does also include what you do in the playoffs and Jimmy is a superstar

    Utah isn't a defensive minded team . Gobert is the only reason why their defensive rating was that good . You take Rudy out and they're one of the worst defense in the league. Put Rudy on a team with perimeter guys that can stay in front of their man and Rudy goes back to Dpoy instantly

  • @LandoReal__

    @LandoReal__

    2 жыл бұрын

    Exactly bruh. The playoffs is always the same too. You run 5 out, you do a little bit of dribble penetration or set a screen (since they can’t recover from any screen and everyone gets blown by on simple crossovers), Rudy has to rotate to the paint, Rudy’s guy is now open, no one rotated over to Rudy’s man. Even though they KNOW they can’t stay in front so the least you can do is run to the corner when you see Rudy has to bail your ass out. And Rudy isn’t perfect but this shit has happened over and over and it’s crazy to me that it’s like no one cares but Rudy when you see him on the court mad at his perimeter guys

    Honestly I don't how it'd work out trade-wise, but if he's going then I want to see him in Dallas. Like I like their permeter defense, but the question is what exactly are they gonna give up to get him? Well, I mean Dallas is probably going to lose Brunson anyways because he might be a little too good to just be a back up so you might as well at least try and center a package around him to get Golbert.

    With Utah, it's the perimeter defenders that are the problem. They don't have a proper point of attack defender. The proof is in that its perimeter players that are going off on the jazz, not frontcourt players (unless they're great shooters). Rewatch those games and you'll see that they just let them through and Rudy is left trying to cover for them. In the playoffs, when teams start analyzing how to pick apart a Utah's defense, that's what they do. They need better perimeter defenders to get to the next level. That's kind of why I'm in the "trade Donovan Mitchell" camp. It's not that he's a bad player, but they can fix a lot of their problems by just getting some more solid 3nD players. Oh. Part 2 ASAP

    The Lebron effect.. How are they supposed to build a good chemistry when the moment they play bad in some way they're hounded with, Lebron's going to trade them, which is true because Lebron literally will. They can't have a comradeship when everything is about Bron and everyone has to cater to him. NET's on the other hand is because Kyrie acts like a child who won't play for simple reasons, and they now have Ben Simmons as well having two divas in one team is bad... They don't have good leadership in both the Lakers and the NETs.

Deron Williams and Carlos Boozer only make it as far as the Conference Finals. Now the Mitchell Gobert era, if you can even call it that, is over. Idk why people think Utah is a really good defensive team, like outside of their big men rotation and for the first two years Mike Conley(even this year he fell off on that end) name one good defender on their team. Now sure, Quinn is a defensive minded coach, and a solid one at that, but their defensive strategy is deadass to funnel the ball handler on the other team into Rudy Gobert/insert backup center(this year the backup was Whiteside) Donovan is not a good defender, Joe Ingles, not a good defender, Bojan, not a good defender, matter of fact most of these guys are ass, with Rudy Gobert their defense is straight up ass cheeks and he's a drop coverage center, so of course their asscheeks perimeter defense, which can easily be masked during the regular season...is going to get exposed in the playoffs. Without Gobert their defense is trash and without Mitchell their offense is trash...nobody other than Gobert makes that defense work and nobody other than Mitchell and Clarkson off the bench(who still has limitations) makes that offense work, so naturally that system isn't sustainable

    I knew Jimmy was that guy. I'm a wolves fan and we were a top team record wise in a conference with the prime harden rockets, and superteam warriors, until he got injured and then it took the last game of the season to make the playoffs. Of course the playoffs didn't go well against the rockets, and Kat underperforming. Then next season he gets traded to the 76ers and immediately starts making game winning shots and in the playoffs he stepped up and was the best player on that team. If kawhi's shot didn't bounce perfectly, it'd be the 76ers against the injured warriors and they could've won instead of the raptors. I knew the 76ers messed up choosing Tobias Harris over him, I didn't think he'd lead the heat to the finals, but people were saying "he doesn't care about winning" because he went to Miami, and he proved them all wrong. Everyone's quick to call everything that happened in the bubble a fraud, so when Jimmy has a bad series, everyone brushed what he accomplished before under the rug. Jimmy is that guy and he's been that guy.
