Reasons why the Celtics lost: 1. Jayson Tatum injury in the very first play. He was so important in their offense. 2. Miami's zone defense. With Tatum injured, the Celtics seemed not comfortable breaking it. 3. Poor 3-pt shooting. To break the zone, you have to be a very good 3-pt shooting team. Celtics are only good shooting the 3 if the defense is not zone. Conclusion: Coach Spo schooled the first-year coach Mazulla. The coaching match-up gap was so massive.

Yo what was the sound you used from where u were talking abt Jaylen brown being terrible in the series all the way through the end? Like the 9 min mark to the end. It slaps fr
I’m a Boston boy through and through, lived here since I was 3 years old and been rooting for this team my whole life. This having been said, I can’t stand this team. This squadron was one of the most inconsistent teams I’ve ever rooted for. They’re just AWFUL with their inconsistency! 🗑
Just like what Chuck said. You can win a lot of games by talents alone, but there's a reason why no team ever came back from 0-3 coz at some point there will be a time where coaching & scouting for schemes will decide the outcome of the series not just hero ball.
Obv they could have shot the ball better. But heavily relying on 3s is not gonna close games… Tatum is a great player, but if he didnt rely on outside shooting as much, and focused on attacking the basket & drawing fouls more he’d see more success. Relying on jumpshooting and 1on1 scoring isnt always gonna win you the game. It seems like he makes the game harder on himself.

Played 40 mins wtf are you talking about
Blowing double digit leads, dying by the three...a lot of that is coaching. There are good threes, and bad threes. The celtics in this miami series were simply stonewalled by the defense, and got baited into chucking late clock threes. That is just poor offense. Losing at home so much...that's nerves and pressure. They can't handle it. And that's also the coach's job, to help them overcome that
. You know they just suffered from a young coach who didn’t want to rock the boat. And had no cache for their stars to let him implement his culture
While I’m not a Celtics fan, I do think the duo they have is top tier and your going to be hard pressed to get two guys this good again. They are young, they have made ecf basically every year for the last couple, that’s more than most teams can say they have done in the last 10 years. They got another shot next year to change the current narrative.
The thing is, when they lay well they don't have a "live by the three" mentality. They use a 5 out set-up to open the paint. They are the best three point shooting team, but they use that to get easy buckets. But when they play bad they resort back to chucking up threes. I think that with time Joe will fix this. The C's are young. Their only key player that is old is Al, the rest can wait a couple of seasons to improve and win a chip. I hope they run it back.
Jason Tatum and crew are intimidated more by the Celtics home crowd than opposing teams fans.
A coaching staff can make or break a team, regardless if they made the finals last year or are a better team than last year the coaching staff likely held them back
What they need is a new coach and another all star. Their cohesion looks ok but it's clear something's missing.
That’s why Spoelstra said run them off the 3 pt line cause they live and die by the 3 pt line
I wonder what editing software swish out uses.

Turnover rate, turnover rate, turnover rate. Swishout, you should have known.
I had a feeling all year that this team would choke in the playoffs. There was something about this team that felt off. I couldn’t have been more right.
Tbh even if they won this series I think vs denver they might have gotten swept. Boston makes so many mistakes in the 4th quarter and Denver always takes advantage of that. Philadelphia should have beaten them tbh but they're the exact same way.
The main problem I noticed is when it really matters they both get butterfingers and can’t dribble for shit
As a die hard boston fan.. i'm not exactly sure what it is with this team... Especially the fact they blow 10+ point leads at the end of the 4th; consistently. Watching most of the games over a couple of years I'm convinced they quickly get into this victim "Poor me" mentality mixed with "I'm a superstar ego" & make horrible & soft ass plays while constantly whining & looking for calls. Plus there is some sort of energy battle between Tatum & Brown. But this is just my observation that I realized after yelling at my TV this series & from being at game 2 against Miami. & this is not a winner beats all mindset.

Imo you cannot max jaylen brown if you’re the Celtics. They’d have absolutely zero cap room and he’s so bad bruh that whole series it’s just so hard to watch him. Tatum has proved he can go off and win you games in the playoffs. I would trade jaylen but the problem is what can you get back that could actually help your team
I think they should trade Brown and Brogdon for more of a distributor type star PG. Tatum and the teams needs more off ball action. They were best with ball movement but that always gets abandoned for terrible iso late in games, which is why they're so bad in the clutch. Their actions become stagnant and Brown, in particular, gets into shoot-no-matter-what mode which makes the offense predictable
Because they don't have a point guard, JB and JT are FORWARDS and Smart disappears. PG by committee and analytics basketball is super lame to watch honestly, won't get you anywhere in the end. Justice was served baby

Analytic ball makes no sense to me. I get the 3 ball is important especially today but you still need to able to attack the rim. Also use the mid range. If you only use 2 out of 3 things (attacking the rim and 3) it makes you easier to scheme against and defend especially when the game slows down in the postseason. It’s like some teams didn’t learn from those rockets teams in the late 2010s.
As a diehard C’s fan, at no point from the end of the regular season did I believe they could even slow down Denver or hang with them. Now I don’t even get to find out.

actually the Celtics match up pretty well with Denver.
I’m not even a Celtics fan, and while I was watching game 7, I was just begging for the Celtics to STOP shooting 3s and attack the rim 🤦🏾♂️ it’s like they were trying way too hard to look like the 2016 warriors
I'm a simple man, I get the SWISHOUT notification I tune in
4:20 also to add to the weirdness, they were the only team on this list that didnt make it to the finals… except for the 2006 Celtics
In short they aint have the heart of Larry Bird, Kevin McHale, Robert Parish ,DJ, Dave Cowens, John Havliceck, Bill Russell, Bob Cousy, KG, Jojo White, Cedric Maxwell and Paul Pierce. Plus other Ca legends that have guts
As a C fan Tatum cant be the 1st option on championship team. He plays good once in a 3 game or something. We gotta do some massive roster change or we will be stuck like this since 2018

Such a casual media driven narrative he literally has 2 bad *shooting games a series and that makes him inconsistent what about leading the team in rebounds and assists
My theory is that Jaylen Brown was tanking to spite the Cs
The Celtics fumbled so bad, as a Celtics day one fan I have to give Miami their flowers but my gawd I’m sorry these finals are gonna be hard to watch. On paper I think it sounds like a interesting match up and I want it to be a good series I really do but Miami and that zone will not deter Joker and then boys. It’s but I don’t think this series goes past 5 games. I hope it does just because I genuinely enjoy watching two vastly different styles of play go head to head but Miami just realistically doesn’t have much of a chance, the only chance Miami has is if Martin and Vincent somehow become all time great players and continue what they’ve been doing. Idk tho relying on those dudes isn’t ideal when a chip is on the line. Unfortunately I think the hot streak of Vincent and Martin is gonna be over
I know he isn't the subject of the video... but good God almighty, James Hardens stats at 8:40 are enough to make a man cry. 12 TOs and 18% from the field? Eighteen Percent?!!!

And some of his fans have the nerve to say he's not a playoff choker lol
Not too sure about the timing. I'm going off memory here. But Aj and Rey in WCW. I know AJ was a young star just getting started. But it would of been something to see them early in their careers and see what they could of done.
I was emphatically wrong about the Celts. They have depth but lack IQ, a point guard, and proper coaching. Tatum and Brown need to handle the ball better. Smart is too wild. Horford is good but old.
This series is the perfect example of why Pippen is right about saying Jordan ruined basketball

That’s interesting. Why’d he say that? I haven’t seen those comments from him

nah, pippen just salty that jordan's son had an affair with his ex wife 💀
You didn't even touch on Jaylen Brown forgetting how to dribble a basketball...he kept turning it over himself by dribbling like trash. It was ridiculous to watch

6 years in the league he should have fixed that by now. Or just not have him initiate the offense.
as a celtics fan i and TIRED OF THIS
They have no player with a killer instinct.
Rooting for this team was so fucking painful this year. So much talent yet seemingly so little heart
The Celtics need a veteran point guard to run the offense.
