    Reasons why the Celtics lost: 1. Jayson Tatum injury in the very first play. He was so important in their offense. 2. Miami's zone defense. With Tatum injured, the Celtics seemed not comfortable breaking it. 3. Poor 3-pt shooting. To break the zone, you have to be a very good 3-pt shooting team. Celtics are only good shooting the 3 if the defense is not zone. Conclusion: Coach Spo schooled the first-year coach Mazulla. The coaching match-up gap was so massive.

    I don't think the Celtics were not only the most confusing team but they also were the most inconsistent good team probably in NBA history that I have seen. I also want to say the Celtics got bounced the last two postseason by turning the ball over in we saw it against the warriors in the finals last year and it happened against the heat who got redemption against the Celtics from last year.🏀

    Just like what Chuck said. You can win a lot of games by talents alone, but there's a reason why no team ever came back from 0-3 coz at some point there will be a time where coaching & scouting for schemes will decide the outcome of the series not just hero ball.

  • @iansosickk

    Obv they could have shot the ball better. But heavily relying on 3s is not gonna close games… Tatum is a great player, but if he didnt rely on outside shooting as much, and focused on attacking the basket & drawing fouls more he’d see more success. Relying on jumpshooting and 1on1 scoring isnt always gonna win you the game. It seems like he makes the game harder on himself.

    Blowing double digit leads, dying by the three...a lot of that is coaching. There are good threes, and bad threes. The celtics in this miami series were simply stonewalled by the defense, and got baited into chucking late clock threes. That is just poor offense. Losing at home so much...that's nerves and pressure. They can't handle it. And that's also the coach's job, to help them overcome that

    While I’m not a Celtics fan, I do think the duo they have is top tier and your going to be hard pressed to get two guys this good again. They are young, they have made ecf basically every year for the last couple, that’s more than most teams can say they have done in the last 10 years. They got another shot next year to change the current narrative.

  • @verward
    @verward Жыл бұрын

    The thing is, when they lay well they don't have a "live by the three" mentality. They use a 5 out set-up to open the paint. They are the best three point shooting team, but they use that to get easy buckets. But when they play bad they resort back to chucking up threes. I think that with time Joe will fix this. The C's are young. Their only key player that is old is Al, the rest can wait a couple of seasons to improve and win a chip. I hope they run it back.

    As a die hard boston fan.. i'm not exactly sure what it is with this team... Especially the fact they blow 10+ point leads at the end of the 4th; consistently. Watching most of the games over a couple of years I'm convinced they quickly get into this victim "Poor me" mentality mixed with "I'm a superstar ego" & make horrible & soft ass plays while constantly whining & looking for calls. Plus there is some sort of energy battle between Tatum & Brown. But this is just my observation that I realized after yelling at my TV this series & from being at game 2 against Miami. & this is not a winner beats all mindset.

  • @slightexag
    @slightexag Жыл бұрын

    I think they should trade Brown and Brogdon for more of a distributor type star PG. Tatum and the teams needs more off ball action. They were best with ball movement but that always gets abandoned for terrible iso late in games, which is why they're so bad in the clutch. Their actions become stagnant and Brown, in particular, gets into shoot-no-matter-what mode which makes the offense predictable

    Analytic ball makes no sense to me. I get the 3 ball is important especially today but you still need to able to attack the rim. Also use the mid range. If you only use 2 out of 3 things (attacking the rim and 3) it makes you easier to scheme against and defend especially when the game slows down in the postseason. It’s like some teams didn’t learn from those rockets teams in the late 2010s.

On paper I think it sounds like a interesting match up and I want it to be a good series I really do but Miami and that zone will not deter Joker and then boys. It’s but I don’t think this series goes past 5 games. I hope it does just because I genuinely enjoy watching two vastly different styles of play go head to head but Miami just realistically doesn’t have much of a chance, the only chance Miami has is if Martin and Vincent somehow become all time great players and continue what they’ve been doing. Idk tho relying on those dudes isn’t ideal when a chip is on the line. Unfortunately I think the hot streak of Vincent and Martin is gonna be over
