@@kanpeki3033 a lot of factors are involved in unit pricing, in my opinion part of the problem is people overvalue rgb, those who don't care for rgb expect to get a much better deal and when they don't they go and buy the rgb garbage to feel like they didn't get ripped off. This is why we don't have a better selection of non-rgb products for gamers.
Thank you for this review! I've been eyeing this one, but after watching this I am more than happy with waiting for something that doesn't have a large pile of little nitpicks at a high price tag.

This is exactly what I needed to know, heard some positive things prior to watching the video, but the weak performance in the color accuracy makes me doubt quite a bit, I guess it is definitely worth waiting a little while before the purchasing one of these 32" 4k 144hz monitors

Thank you Tim! Been waiting on your review to buy or not buy this.

Thanks a lot! Great and thorough review. Very much appreciated. Was deciding between a 28" samsung odyssey G7 4k 144hz 2021 model and maybe something of a bigger size. But FI32U is not quite that. Hopefully G7 4k will do better.
I think I trust these guys the most with their reviews. Smart and thorough.
I was waiting for this and 32" 4k 144Hz monitors in general but I'm glad I just bought a 48" C1 instead
Looking at the monitor's screen in the video. "Wow, great colors, excellent quality". But wait. I am not watching it through my monitor? So my monitor is excellent with great colors. Perfect! I don't need to upgrade!
I thought about buying this monitor the last couple of weeks, but I'm glad I came across your video. This seemed like a great monitor but it's not quite what I thought, thanks for sharing.
I’m really considering this monitor. I’m not overly fussed on the minute little flaws here and there in terms of the performance. Finding a HDMI 2.1 monitor that’s perfect at this price point is next to impossible. I really do prefer 30” over, anything below is a little too small. But I’m glad to see this one holds up. As a console gamer who is just looking for the HDMI 2.1 functionality I hope this will be a sufficient monitor.
Thank you to Tim for reviewing this product. I would suggest that every single future monitor advertised as "HDMI 2.1" needs to be checked for the bandwidth available on those ports. It is so depressing to read the spec of this monitor on Gigabyte's website. It reads in the note: "HDMI 2.1 supports PS5 and Xbox Series X at 4K UHD@120Hz (4:2:0)". What does this mean? Does it mean 4K/120 8-bit 4-2-0 (18 Gbps) or 4K/120 10-bit 4-2-0 (20 Gbps)? Can it process 4K/120 10-bit signal from consoles and GPUs at 18 Gbps? The HDMI spec would not allow this. Does the monitor support TMDS signalling only or FRL too? If it supports FRL, does it support FRL3 only (up to 24 Gbps), FRL4 (up to 32 Gbps), etc.? Tim, could you please, check this with Gigabyte? There has been so much inadequate marketing of HDMI 2.1 features and port speeds.
It doesn't explode? Hard pass. I'm sad Gigabyte introduce booming new features, then remove it in their next product. Should stick with their brand recognition.

great review as always but i would like to know what monitor you use. im waiting for the 42 lg oled
great reviews dude
Possibly for end of month: We see a lot of these 4K monitors with refresh rates. However getting high FPS simultaneously with 4K is no easy task, especially while using Ray Tracing. So my question is: could manufacturers produce a say 90Hz max refresh rate monitor with VRR and use those "savings" in order to improve other aspects of the performance (bringing the cumulative deviation and ghosting rates down across the VRR range, and improving color accuracy overall) or even lower costs and selling price? Also cutting their fake HDR support while they're at it, imho. Or is this just not how monitor building works? Thanks.
I'm waiting for you guys to review Acer Predator x34GS. Awesome review as always
Is it worth redoing some of the tests on the FI32U since it had a new firmare update? Fixed some problems and improved input latency apparently.

i cant go back from 32" (had since 2015, only 60hz though) has to be 16:9. Wdiescreen is 'why is the top missing?' apart from being much less compatible with content. Thing is im after flatscreen 1440p VA high refresh. Either they are crap (theres basically only 1, a bad lg panel), or goddamn curved. 16:9 should NOT be curved
Will y’all do a in-depth review of the gigabyte F048U? Hi Tim, I noticed the GN950 best overdrive mode has been changed in the latest graphs and comparisons? In the original review you mentioned that the best and default overdrive mode of this monitor is the (fast) mode with a 4ms response time, but in the latest it seems like you are representing it with the over drive (off) setting at 6ms, hope you can give some clarity for this maybe I'm just misunderstanding something. M32U is the likely candidate to deliver the optimal price/perf ratio.
for all UHD monitors, can you test if they work well with QHD input? this will allow higher frame rates while gaming.
After having a 30" Dell U3011 for over 5 years now, I don't think I could ever go to something smaller so 27" is right out. Monitors like this are starting to look pretty appealing. Of course if I upgrade this then my 1080ti likely won't be good enough to push 4K, and since I'm upgrading the video card it's probably time to upgrade the CPU and motherboard to - and away we goooooo! Maybe by the time I'm ready to upgrade all of that micro LED will finally be out solving all the LCD and OLED problems once and for all :p
