The government need to make the properties around and along that fantastic building and bridge be a hub of high rise building that matches with the beauty of the station. Do not allow those run down buildings and old factories with rusted roof steel the show. When travelers and visitors enter or leave the station, they need to remain with good memories of fantastic! and job well done!

The only way is for the government to declare the area around the station and bridge special zone and compensate the existing owners. Ingage local and international strategic developers to Draw up proposals and the winning proposal will go to the market either by selling individual plots to qualified entities or if the interest is hot to accommodate everyone then through auction. I assure you knowing the properties prices in the heart of Dar, expect windfall of interested conglomerates who are ready to pay premium. The multiplier effect of that to Dar city, preparations of the land, supply of services to site ie electricity, water, materials, labour etc. Will be for years to come. All this will happen if the government or authority in charge can think out of the box and take initiative. Mind you all these is like the government first made an initial investment but will continually receive royalties in different forms infinitely. Please Tanzania, you have mega projects going around and craft around them never ending circle of activities for the private sector.

Waste of public funds for Entertaining visitors really? Ru even serious talking about investing in beautiful building just to please Passerby?Get a life instead of Advicing those funds to be directed to Public sectors like Hospitals our mothers stilldelivering babies in corridors with no Medications and even shortage of Trained Nurses&doctors,People dying in hospitals due to poor medical care and your fantasizing some beautiful Buildings??R we gonna Eat those nice Tall storey high rise?whats more important Than Saving lives huh?

I like the 'Tanzanite' design, it is so much at home. Looking forward to the complition of this wonderful project.

The problem with Tanzania is the time it takes to see opportunity and move fast to implement. Either you need a local team of expert very nimble and trusted by the highest office to scan opportunities and select a low hanging fruit and once evaluated and satisfied truly is lowly hanging, it should be passued with the light of speed. Rwanda, Ghana, Ethiopia etc are doing that with great success. The speed matters because neighbouring countries might copy your ideas and if they finished theirs first it makes the late comers irrelevant. Rwanda has copied some of Tanzania's ideas and implement them with tremendous success. Is not bad but it prove that ideas remain ideas till when implemented. ( mchakato ni mchakato till implemented.)

Pls dont compare Tanzania with a little country like Rwanda with a handful population,Tanzania is one of the Biggest Economies in Africa with imense reserve of Natural resources to Feed both Rwanda&Ghana Till Jesus Comes back,Rwanda can do that Easier as its Just like one of our towns like Mwanza size wise,with one Dictator running the country theway he feels,No freedom of speech just a town full of YES PEOPLE" so to say planting flowers in Towns whilst indegenous are starving,Talking about Ghana its no where near Tanzania wen it comes to Everything except Football mayb,Tanzania is a step ahead of the rest of the bunch,Thats why you Dont See many Tanzanians in those Countries but u see those ghanians&rwandese dying to immigrate to Tanzania alot,Let us move to our pace we have other important Things to do before we please visitors
